true, but then it's a bit too wide and the tripod goes lower. But I guess for a travel tripod the narrower legs are not that critical so it's fine, but from 22 degrees to 26 degrees the stiffness can improve about 15% while you only sacrifice about 2% of the height.
I like the tripod very well. Light, easy to carry and easy to use, but I have doubts about the quality. I've had the tripod for 3 months and already I can't lock the ballhead completely. With just a little force I can change the position of the camera when the ballhead is locked. And I haven't used it every day and with light equipment. Sony A7 IV with Sony PZ 16-35.
We only have it for a month and mostly used it with MFT equipment, but I was thinking the same, that a lever based ballhead lock might get loose by time.
@@lynnsargeant2749 The weakest point is the ball head, I have used it for almost 8 months. After a little over 3 months, I had to replace the ball head. Bought the new ball head with F38 Quick Release, and now it is also starting to show weaknesses. Can't lock it properly anymore. But the rest of the tripod seems fine. Bought a new entral column so that I can use another ball head on it eventually.
@@rumattso Thank you for your reply. Yes I wondered about that… I would of looked at the warranty…. Hmm I might let it go, I’m looking for a light but really strong tripod.. back to research … thanks again greatly appreciated.
Good review. I understand the leg-spread is narrow but you can widen the legs with the buttons above the legs.

I’d like to hear from people who have had it for some time and use it regularly.
