Alba is always a treat. But the guitar mastery displayed by Josep Traver in this piece definitely needs mention. And all credit goes to the master arranger, Joan Chamorro.
I look at the Grammy's and I shake my head at the total garbage that passes as talent. I'm not talking about music styles because we all know our parents hated our music and their parents hated their music and so forth.. I'm talking about true trash passing as entertainment... Joan I'd love to see you and your highly talented students, and ringers / mentors as well, on the Grammys because people like you and that Japanese all girl big band, and others as well, truly are the inspiration for the future musicians of the world.. One thing I do notice about your students, is that they are probably trained, at various levels, I'm guessing here, but they don't SOUND trained... The sound is extremely natural, both overall for the band and also as soloists.. That's kind of unique. Once again, best wishes and keep the hits coming!!!!
Chamorro's young musicians have a personal, emotional quality that connects them to their audience. In the same way, Janis Joplin broadcast her passion to anyone lucky enough to be listening. Chamorro's kids have passion and authenticity beaming from their bright, happy faces. Contemporary packaged music can never match the passion shown by these truly joyous musicians, who are doing what they love, not for fame and money but just because they love doing it.

Often I find myself with a grin on my face that just won't go away. I believe they were playing music together for quite some time before Joan taught them all the music theory. This is a perfect example of a beautiful young lady "not" trying to be sexy, but she is. Very much so. I hope Alba Aemengou never loses her innocent charm. Her talent will see her through. No need for a bunch of razzle dazzle. By the way, I really like how all the women in Joan's various bands do not wear make-up. They don't need to paint themselves. They're naturally pretty.
