When Alba starts to sing it sets me in a special mood, even if I dont understand a single word. It is enough with her voice and the rythm of this wonderful orchestra. Then she starts to play the trumpet and it gets even better, together with solists Marcal and Rita. It is a sort of swinging jazz that has a lot of samba in it. I like it a lot! Congrats to the whole band and to Joan Chamorro!

Y grabando un disco que hay que atesorar como oro en paño. En este caso la protagonista es Alba Armengou, para mi junto a Andrea Motis y Rita Payés el trío mágico de super figuras formadas en la fábrica de genios del maestro Chamorro. Las auténticas elegidas por los dioses, un pequeño escalón por encima de todo el resto del "Joan Chamorro presenta". Alba tiene 22 años recién cumplidos y lleva dos tercios de su vida encima de los escenarios, desde que a los 8 añitos debutó con la SAJB. A los 10 ya era toda una estrella (aquel solo de trompeta en el Palau, con Jesse Davis mirándola estupefacto y 2.000 personas aplaudiendo entusiasmadas ...). Y hasta el año pasado estuvo en la banda, 14 años, que se dice pronto. Ahora vuela sola, tiene sus propios grupos y graba discos con preciosas composiciones de su cosecha. Lleva camino de ser una figura mundial. Como lo es Andrea y muy pronto lo será Rita. Polifacética todoterreno, ya se atreve con cualquier cosa y todo lo hace bien, con voz, talento y buen gusto. Pero a mi siempre me ha entusiasmado sobre todo como vocalista de Bossa Nova, género por el que siempre he sentido autentica pasión. I did miss something - the flute player was not credited in your great list of musicians. Perhaps he doubled on sax. Thank you for what you are doing.

Another fantastic performance by that great Brazilian, Alba Armengou.... wait, she's not Brazilian? Really? Seriously, she knocks the ball out of the park on songs from Brazil (and most other places, as well). I also loved Rita's solo, and I thought the Carla/Magali/Arnau rhythm section did a great job on this.
