This looks interesting. But the acid green color palette hurts my eyes.
Fun fact: the "creepy music" that was the town theme for the Experiment town is actually the Delirium town theme! The musical theme they ultimately went with is new and pretty cool, though a lot less creepy.

The entire basic hero skill tree design has been shortened a little making them a little more compact. In fact the skill trees of *EVERY SINGLE HERO* in the game has been reworked, some have remained similar some has become very different than they used to be. I have not played much but most changes have been quite interesting on a first glance, "economy'" skills have became much more rare and teh enw skills add a ton of different was.
Furthermore the Tier 4 skills slots receive 2 levels for one point. This as a consolation prize for reaching for T4 instead of levellng up your lower tier skills.
And even Furthermore every creature now received a classification of Offensive, Defensive, Magical noted by the icon at their top right. Previously it was only magical creatures that benefited from the "Potency" skill, now all three of these have their own dedicated sill to empower them "Armor Smith" empowering defensive type and "Swordsmith" empowering offensive type creatures . Magical creatures empowered by the "Potency" skill remain mostly unchanged but Potency have become a more rare skill in the game.
Overall the game has been expanded by significant manner!
I really miss this old menu, town select & hero select, it was much more clean in my opinion! :)

It is not quite clear what they are. They could be sort of "Strength Elementals." Before the expansion they were listed among elementals in the Lexicon. After the expansion now there is a building in the Horde towns called "Statue of Physique." Which could indicate Physiques could be more than elementals, also there is a new spell called "Zyyzz Up" which can temporarily transform a group of low power creatures into Physiques for the battle. So the Physique could be maybe an avatar of some higher power?
Ah, yeah, I think they are just muscular giants then haha. Zyzz was a bodybuilder people used to obsess over online
You should play a PC game called Disciples 2.
I think you'd really enjoy it as it's a similar genre of game as Heroes of Might and Magic 3.
It's also one my most favourite games of all time haha :)

I’m torn on this game. Worth it?
I think heroes hour is great if you are a fan of Homm 2-3, it has the same artistic aesthetics of both games. Some factions are the same. Order is your Castle faction and Wild is your Rampant, etc. The DLC is a mixed bag as I talked to the designer of the game, they wanted to change things up and add new skills to expand the game’s tactics.
@@Wanderer042 I might give it a go today. My concern is the lack of any type of campaign as I like more structured gaming.
People are often put off by the (very simple) art style and the battles. But if those don't bother you, I think it's worth a try. The battles are so different that for me, it scratches a different itch to HoMM3.
@@Spacemutiny I was also a little bit astounded by the fact this game had no campaign and barely any lore at all, and especially its lack of multiplayer... But just the sheer amount of stuff they've added now, and the creativity behind it convinces me more and more that this game has come into its own and is worth buying. Especially with this new DLC, they've experimented a lot, made lots of new unique things, and the amount of possible scenarios you'll get is quite staggering!
Been playing since release. Yes, it's worth it. Perfect? No. Worth its asking price? Yes.

They still haven't released it on GOG. I wonder what's going on. About 4 or 5 days ago they did patch the base game to the same version as Steam but still have not released the dlc. Any chance you can have a word with them about it?
