- Hero's Hour is an indie strategy game with RPG elements similar to the Heroes of Might and Magic (HoMM) series, with auto battler combat. In this gameplay video, we complete the tutorial as the Arcane faction (a lot like Tower from HoMM3).

Loving your new videos on HoMM inspired games ... I'd have never found out these games myself.. Added to my Wishlist on Steam and waiting for release

I discovered this by accident, but you can click and drag to control your units.
Seems nice, just have none of the charm and art of heroes 3. I mean the town screen is just a depressing spreadsheet like thing.
Yeah, I did find that a little dry. Although the mapped out build tree is useful.
The obelisk is really cool. It gives you written clues which are missing words and letters until you find more. SO you have to figure out what it means by "such and such mountain, and ten paces from the dock by the volcano" etc.
Yeah, it's a clever way of implementing it. I'll try to pay it a bit more attention if I do a proper map playthrough.
it reminds me how the obelisks worked in the Might & Magic series actually(the rpg ones)
Won't lie, even heroes 2 looks better. hahahaha. Big heroes fan, don't think I can stare at pixels all day though....

This game just feel like a mess. You sit there in the first week and cannot kill anything at all on the map. wait... get more units, then just snowball with throwing your ball of units into enemy units. Feels like a complete opposite of an interesting game tbh
i realize that downgrading the graphics is IN these days, but this is TOO MUCH this game looks like 98 - game
actually heroes 2 is from 96 and heroes 3 is 99 and both have miles better graphics than this.

@@nikolakarapejevski i do just pointing out that the originals have "98" graphics so this game has even lower graphics :D so i guess its 80s graphics :D

Sheesh. This feels like an okay game with butt-ugly graphics. Yeah, I get it. Retro graphics used to be blocky and enormous. The C64 is an example of that, or the Game Boy, if you don't take native screen size into consideration. However, it just looks ugly and dated, now, and really distracts from the gameplay, for me. Plus, it's been done to death.
