    for others seeing this, you'll want to preload the suspension before you tighten the LCA bolts because you dont want to tear the bushings so tightening them at full droop is not a good thing

    I just did a whole type r suspension swap into a 2003 base rsx. I need to replace the rotors and brake pads tho because I’m getting a lot of squeaking any idea what I should be looking for to change them out? I’ve been reading that I need s2000 rotors with 350z break pads but I’m not sure about the year or anything.

    • @willalexander177
      @willalexander177 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Bob-O For the pads I bought 2003-2008 350z pads. S2k rotors won’t work if you swapped over the knuckles. Because the rotor offset is different.

  • @brunomanco7529
    @brunomanco7529 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    u shouldve put offset bushings for more caster. the lack of caster in dc5 and ep3 its one of theyr major flaws. i have and its much better now, the sloshy steering wheel disapeared. i also have top caster mounts, and run 235 slicks with alot of negative camber

  • @IntegraDIY

    How do you like polyurethane front lower control arm bushings? I just bought some but I’m thinking of just getting replacement arms because it might cause squeaking issues

    • @DC5RParts
      @DC5RParts  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No squeaking at all from mine. Even if there was, can’t hear it lol it’s a great replacement. Don’t hesitate 🙏🏻

      Use Hard Race bushings if you are reluctant to use pure Poly bushings. Both are great though for performance.

    • @DC5RParts
      @DC5RParts  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's tough man. Gotta use a ball joint separator, lubricant and patience! Tapping on the LCA next to where the bolt goes through helps! Tap that thing away. Flip the bottom nut upside down and make it flush with the bolt. Hit it with a 3lb hammer. Just gotta use muscle! 💪🏼

    You will need Type R sway bar because the pickup point of the aluminium LCA is further away than the steel one. Ultra racing, Cusco are good choice. BTW it's good time to replace lower ball joint too.
    I recently had it done to my 05 type S as well using HardRace ball joints and spherical metal bushing instead of poly also with ultra racing sway bar for DC5R
    Cheers

    • @DC5RParts

      No. Unless you run 2005/06 Hubs/Ball Joints. Otherwise the 2002/04 won't fit.
      The 2005/06 is the only model year that runs the same ball joints as the Type R.
