DC5R.Parts thank you for the fast reply I didn't know you were gonna reply since video is old and yeah I was thinking 15mm won't be bad on stocks since I'm low I hate how I looked Soo tucked in
@@Dc5Knightv2 I always reply to all my subscribers on my YT channel, regardless how old the video is. 15mm will fit nicely on stock +45 offset wheels. 👌🏻
I have mine dropped about an inch and a quarter, would 25mm spacers rub on the outside now? Mine rub on the inside now with 225 tires on the rear wheels
Cool I was going to ask bout front. 15mm or 20mm would look great. I'm trying to figure what I want to do with my DS02 18x9.5x30 I'm leaning to 25mm on rear n 20mm in front.
As said in the video. I've had spacers for over 3 years, launches, hard cornering, constantly pushing it to the limits. Recently i did a track event, I had spacers on during the entire event. zero issues, my wheel didnt fly off. lol You'll hear things from people online, people say many things, people talk bad about things that it was plain and simple their fault but still blame the brand or someone else. If a spacer came loose over time... what does that tell you? the user didnt install them properly and didn't bother to check them after some time. fun fact, you're supposed to inspect your car before every single drive. does anyone do it? probably not. same concept applies. Many wont bother going back and torquing down their wheels or spacers hence their wheels falling off. I'd say, go for it and do things right and do it your way. don't listen to the negative things out there until you try it for yourself. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching.
If you're not running Brembo calipers. You can run any size you would like. +35 offset all the way around is my favorite look but it you want to run staggered, 15 and 25 on the back seems like the flush look against the body of the car. Hope that helps.
The factory offset is the same all the way around, yes. Which is +45 offset. I mean you saw this video. I used 25mm all the way around so you get an idea. I'll recommend 20mm upfront.
Closer to stock the more reliable it would be lol right now my car is a prototype with all these parts. Well at least the blue one. Thanks for watching!
Hey man not sure if you’ll see this but I’m new to cars and wheels specs I recently purchased some Type r wheels for my 03 base rsx. In order to fit them what size spacers will I need? Im not looking for perfect flush on wheel to fender I just want to mount them so bad. Also should I keep the 215/45/17 tires the type r wheels came with ??
Hey man! I try to read comments but sometimes I am just too busy creating the next video! I can help you. The factory wheel spec is 45 offset. The Type R is 60 offset. In order for the R wheel to clear nicely (If you upgrade to Brembos in the future), you'll need at least 35 offset for the wheel to sit flush and also away from the Brembo caliper. For example if you want to just be at factory spec which is 45 offset. Just subtract the spacer size from the wheel offset. Wheel 60 offset - Spacer Size 15mm = 45 offset. If you want to future proof yourself and have that nice clean look. Wheel 60 offset - Spacer Size 25mm = 35 offset. Hope that makes sense! You can use the same formula for the future when buying different wheels. For your Type R wheel setup I'd recommend 25mm spacers. You can rock the 215/45/17 tires until you need new ones. Then bump them to 225/45/17. That will complete the setup nicely while giving you a lot of stability and grip!
You can get it in our store. Once you get the shirt, it won't have the black scare around it, it's just a sample image. dc5rparts.com/collections/merch
No. That's incorrect. The spacers are for looks in this application. Also depending on how low you are, it might rub the fender but that's something you'll have to figure out.
Absolutely! These tires will mount perfectly on your stock wheels without issues. In fact, that size tire is a factory size for the A-spec wheels which have the same dimensions as the stock wheels. Happy to know that! I appreciate that a lot. More videos coming this summer!
That's a specific question. I don't have that setup to know. But In my opinion with my knowledge. You won't rub your inner fender if you are on stock offset. I think you can determine this yourself by looking at your car setup. If you have room, then it will work.
Oh okay, yeah 15mm seems like the perfect fit for the rsx. Are you going to make any more vids of how to properly install the high wing with mini deck lid like u have on the blue one? Keep the vids coming man i enjoy them a lot!
I have a question Iknow this is an old video that’s great btw! But I have DC5 wheels what do you recommend on the spacers I’m leaning more towards the look you have on this video
Good vid my brother! Love how u go over every detail. Very informative. So are you gona make another vid with the 20mm spacers? What are your thoughts on handling with spacers!?
Thank you very much for the feedback! 🙏🏻 Happy to hear you love my content. I won't be making a 20mm vid but I did review the 15mm on one of the latest videos (you saw it already) but people can get an idea what 25mm or 15mm looks, they can decide if they want something in between. Handling is definitely increased, especially with 225 vs 215 tires. Huge difference in handling, much more stable and power gets transferred to the ground more efficiently around corners.
If you use a 15 mm spacer to the front wheels, should you make the nuts longer? or are they still the original nuts? I would appreciate you answering me
Another great video, keep them coming! Great attention to detail but small thing with the Honda "H" logo on your wheels, the bottom not the top of the "H" goes towards the valve stem.
I would not use spacers this will mess up your alignments gas mileage not to mention if you hit pot whole on highway sometime safety more important than looks just saying.
Hey did you end up going 20 or 15mm on the front?
Ended up going 15MM all the way around. Watch the walk-around episode. Sits nice!

I did the same on my Evo with the stock wheels and man the difference is night and day, can’t wait to do this to my Rsx.
Adds so much character to the ride! Well worth it
Should I get 15 or 20mm if I’m on the stocks wheel and tires?

The lug nuts that come with the spacers won't go all the way down on the thread into the hub is it because I need a bigger nut?
I have the 04 model. with 205s on it and wondering if 15 or 20mm would be the play?
04 type s with 16inch
The center of my 5x114 wheel spacer dont mach with my stock wheels rsx base model is a gap between the wheel and the spacer...
Love the build and videos! Keep up with the great content!
mine just came in the mail today. slapping them on shortly
Aye bro, did you end up liking them? How are they holding up? I just couldn't find any reviews on these
Thinking about putting these in my daily so I wanted to make sure they weren't sketchy
I have a 03 with stock wheels. Will 25m be good or 15mm?
Anyone go through with buying them? I just cant seem to find many reviews for them
Can I use these same spacers with an 04 tsx?
Just got my 03 RSX in love with it just waiting to get my build right 💯💯
When buying the spacers does it come with 2 or 4?
1 quantity comes with 2 spacers. It's under the description of the product.

What is your experience with using spacers on your daily driver? I've heard concerns of them loosening over time

How are the spacers holding up now on the orange dc5?
Perfect. I’ve been running mine for over 3 years. It’s a solid piece of aluminum.
If you don’t have a power tool how much foot pounds do you use with a. Torque wrench
Have dc5 type r rims what mm recommend on spacers 20mm or 25mm?
15mm in the front right? Because I just installed some 25mm on the back and love the flush poke.

DC5R.Parts are the stock offsets the same front and back because I didn’t wanna add 25mm to the fronts and get a poke wider than the back
The factory offset is the same all the way around, yes. Which is +45 offset. I mean you saw this video. I used 25mm all the way around so you get an idea. I'll recommend 20mm upfront.
DC5R.Parts I had a feeling 20mm was gonna be it , preciate the suggestion
Yeah the front sits a bit narrower than the rear but of course man, any time! 👍🏻
Hey what was the full spec for the 215
I have a set of those same rims with 215/55r17 and I'm slightly worried they would rub in the front
Did you have to cut the original studs when using the 25mm spacers? Or were you able to still fit the wheels on over?
It's a bolt on spacer. I didn't cut anything in the video. Just as long as you're using wheels with cavities in the back of the hub you'll be fine.
Would 20mm or even 25mm be nice on a stock base model?,I know it would stick out just a little bit more then the 15mm
I’ll probably stick with 15mm.
Thinking of getting spacers soon and this video came out right on time 👍.
Awesome! 🤘🏻
Do you have a pic of 20mm at the front?
Did you need to shorten the stock wheel studs to put on 15mm spacers? Or was it fine with the 25mm?
No need to shorten the factory studs on these spacers at all. You can find them here. www.DC5RParts.com

What does he mean when he says “they already have an issue putting the power down”? At 4:30min
the tire spins tremendously being a fwd car at 200hp and only 2,700 pounds

Hey brother I have a question. How can I fit brembo brakes on my rsx? I'm running enkei j10 18x7.5 +38 offset. The brembo calipers don't clear though
Run a 5mm spacer.

Minimum Brembo clearance is 35 offset. You'll be okay with a 5mm spacer.

Hey, in order for these size tires to work you need the spacers? Also if your car is lowered does that work as well?

Would 235 fit on stock 05 wheels? Or is it too wide
It’s too wide
So I did 20mm on all wheels and it looks perfectly fine!
did you get an alignment after or nah
Nah
Will these tires fit if I'm lowered 2inches?
That's a specific question. I don't have that setup to know. But In my opinion with my knowledge. You won't rub your inner fender if you are on stock offset.

No, I'm going to leave them loose. I like them like that. 🙂

You got it! 👌🏻
Is it 120 for a whole set or each spacer?
Only for 2 spacers. It's in the description.
With lowered suspension looks much better.
Yes it would. Stock 05+ suspension is too high from factory.
What size spacers ?
I used 25mm spacers on the stock type S wheels. I recommend 15mm as it will sit flush with the body all the way around...

Our spacers have built in studs so you don't need to make the factory studs longer.
I believe the 05 type-s wheels are the same dimensions as the type-r wheels... only difference is the offset
That's correct. Type R offset is +60 and Type S is +45.
