Great reaction. This song is so powerful and emotional, even if it's a cover but Charles made it his own for sure. Every time I listen to this version it makes me cry as it reminds me of when I went thru the same experience.
I remember the first time I heard this version, I was totally broken. Had just lost my dad, it made me think of all the others I had lost....... I still love it though
That one got you, made you put your sticks down. As soon as Charles began to sing I got the goosebumps even though I listen to this often. Thanks mate, good choice.
I was so sad when I first heard this version it was only on a post saying Charles had passed. If your face doesn't hurt after this performance idk what to tell you.
Charles Bradley was 63 I believe when his first album was released. I think a better comment from from the critic would have been - You’re not the average mid-60’s person, Charles. I was on a music forum at the time of his debut album, and one post has stuck with me. It was, You did it, Charles. You really did it! I’m not sure if your aware of it, but Charles died of stomach cancer a few years back.
I just lost one of my closest friends 5 days ago suddenly. I have this track on repeat. Not sure if it’s cathartic or damaging at the same time. But pain doesn’t negotiate. Going through it. Also talking to the internet so maybe deflecting my feelings. I donno. Good review.
My Heart goes out to you my friend - My Best friend left me last year. I have a foto of him and me having fun, hanging In my hall wall - That helps a lot. 👏❤️
Love the way you called this man.
Thanks a lot Bro ✌️😎 Big Cheers!
Charles bradley made me a better person. No other song tugs the heart strings like this cover
