I don't understand. When women wear really short things or clothes that just cover up some nipples they are being praised with their sexuality. BUT when women decide to cover their hair and dress modest they are being called out. Why won't people just stay out of each other's business and choices? This makes me so angry. It's like a double standard amongst females only. It's 2016, let people be! If it doesn't bother you in any way, why even bother judging them??

lol no matter what a woman wears, she can be objectified and called out. i get shamed on a regular basis because i like to wear short skirts. though i agree that muslim women especially are being targeted, and that's because people are islamophobic as shit. let's fight ignorant people together shall we

p sure women don't get "praised" for wearing short skirts. a lot of women get cat-called if they're wearing a dress or people go so far as to call them sluts or insinuate that they're dressing "like a prostitute". it's a two way thing. it's actually pretty difficult for women to find clothing they can be comfortable and feel confident in.

+Nina Hacker yet the kardashians are looked up upon and a lot of lingerie models too. People are praising them for being comfortable enough in their own skin to show it. That's what I'm talking about. What if the same models or the kardashians wore hijabs and long clothing. It would be a totally different thing. And I know a lot of people including myself who get cat-called even though we wore casual clothes.

Some people are really hypocrites. They say "Everyone is free to wear whatever they want" but once they see a girl wearing hijab they start calling her names and do everything to make her feel uncomfortable.
Life is surely beautiful but those people are making it hard to live.

Sum mon they cant dress anyhow in muslims lands as a sign of respect. in places where coving your private parts are the minimum then they should also respect people who cover up. or atleast just sort of acknowledge it?? so ur telling us that if a muslim goes to korea, she has to go against the religion and under dress?

You have to look at it this way. It's not normal to them, and it's viewed badly mainly because of stereotypes and what the media shows. Most East Asians associates Hijab with Muslims, and Muslims are associates with terrorism. Even the Chinese doesn't bode well with their Muslim citizens living at western and north-western China.
It's not like South East Asia where being a Muslim or wearing hijab is seen as something normal and part of their culture.

Hello ! May Allah protect and guide you to his light and happiness in this life and the hereafter, God bless, Ameen. Excuse me for giving a little presentation of Islam, because it is very misunderstood nowadays, especially on those « Antichrist's » times, where media and politics are mixed to distort history and truth. And terrorists (puppets of the Antichrist) who misinterpret verses, out of ignorance and political motivations, and take them out of historical context (just like radical atheists do by the way), don't help either. Thank you very much for your time.
Islam is an arabic word that means the Surrender to the One and Only God, our Creator, Protector, Provider, who gives us life and all that we have, we are safe and sound by his will and grace, we are His and to Him we return, and we have to thank him in this trial life by submitting to him by our free will, or later in the Day of judgment when it's too late to save our own skin. Islam was the original Religion descended to earth from heaven with Adam and Eve (peace and blessing be upon them) in the beginning of humanity. and was passed to people with the succession of the 124 000 prophets and 315 messengers of God to all nations and civilizations since, passing by Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Ismaël, Joseph, Moses, Aaron, Joshua, David, Solomon and Jesus (Peace and blessing be upon them) during the history of mankind, the last replaces and completes the previous, until the succession of the last messenger of God fourteen centuries ago, Muhammad (Peace and blessing be upon him) to complete the noble morals of all mankind, to bring humans and jinns out of darkness into light, and to purify people's religion and belief from corruption and polytheism, and return it to purity and true monotheism, like it was in the times of the prophets (Peace and blessing be upon them).
Many Religions that we know nowadays, at their beginning were true and under Islam, initiated by one of the prophets of God, but their original teachings, history and scriptures have been corrupted over time with falsification and polytheism, or lost and replaced with false ones. That's why Islam is the only Religion accepted by God nowadays, which consists in bearing witness that there is no god besides Allah (God in Aramaic, the original language of Jesus and the Gospel), and that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, just like Jesus and Moses and others are His servants and messengers. Never a messenger of God said he was God or literally son of God, it was the people after him who changed the words of God and corrupted the Religion. God is unique and absolute, He does not need to have a family and sons or to associate anyone else with His kingdom, He can simply create whatever He wants, everything belongs to Him, and to Him everything will return. Allah said in Surah Al-Mu’minun : “God has never begotten a son, nor is there any god besides Him. Otherwise, each god would have taken away what it has created, and some of them would have gained supremacy over others. Glory be to God, far beyond what they describe. The Knower of the hidden and the manifest. He is exalted, far above what they associate. (91-92 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah means the one and only God, the God of all prophets and creatures, the creator of the universe and mankind, and the Master of the Day of judgment, where our destiny, Hell or Paradise, is decided based on our faith and deeds in this trial life, and above all, Allah's mercy.
Allah said in Surah Al-Ikhlas : In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
Say, “He is God, the One. God, the Absolute. He begets not, nor was He begotten. And there is none comparable to Him.” (1-4 / Translated by ITANI).
Allah said in Surah An-Nisa : O FOLLOWERS of the Gospel! Do not overstep the bounds [of truth] in your religious beliefs, and do not say of God anything but the truth. The Christ Jesus, son of Mary, was but God's Apostle - [the fulfilment of] His promise which He had conveyed unto Mary - and a soul created by Him. Believe, then, in God and His apostles, and do not say, "[God is] a trinity". Desist [from this assertion] for your own good. God is but One God; utterly remote is He, in His glory, from having a son: unto Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on earth; and none is as worthy of trust as God. Never did the Christ feel too proud to be God's servant, nor do the angels who are near unto Him. And those who feel too proud to serve Him and glory in their arrogance [should know that on Judgment Day] He will gather them all unto Himself: (171-172 / Translated by Muhammad Asad).
Allah the Most Merciful said in Surah Ali-Imran : Behold, the only [true] religion in the sight of God is [man's] self-surrender unto Him; and those who were vouchsafed revelation aforetime took, out of mutual jealousy, to divergent views [on this point] only after knowledge [thereof] had come unto them. But as for him who denies the truth of God's messages - behold, God is swift in reckoning!
Thus, [O Prophet,] if they argue with thee, say, "I have surrendered my whole being unto God, and [so have] all who follow me!" - and ask those who have been vouchsafed revelation aforetime, as well as all unlettered people, "Have you [too] surrendered yourselves unto Him?" And if they surrender themselves unto Him, they are on the right path; but if they turn away - behold, thy duty is no more than to deliver the message: for God sees all that is in [the hearts of] His creatures.
Verily, as for those who deny the truth of God's messages, and slay the prophets against all right, and slay people who enjoin equity - announce unto them a grievous chastisement.
It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.
(19-22 / Translated by Muhammad Asad)..

i grew up in a muslim country but never had i been discriminated by them. I feel really sad everytime i see muslim being called terrorist. here in the country i grew up in, it feels really safe. everyone treats each other fairly, religion didnt stop them from being good friends, some even could be as close as family. my friends are ofcourse mostly muslim but they treat me just as how they treat their muslim friends. i got curious about islam and i took abit of knowledge of it, the quran is a message from their god ( the message in it didnt have anything to do with killing or destroying other religion instead it says to treat people fairly eventho they are not islam (sorry if i made a mistake) ). THEY ARE NOT TERRORIST! THEY ARE ALSO HUMAN! THEY HAVE FEELINGS TOO! HOW COULD A HUMAN BE SO CRUEL! EVENTHO YOU HATE THEM THERES NO NEED TO HARM THEM! YOU HARM THEM THEN YOU'RE NO DIFFERENT AS WHAT YOU CALL THEM! they dont deserve to be treated like this. the people around me are mostly muslim but i feel so secure around them, no need to hide my religion cause they respect it but why does other people other than muslin dont respect islam?? thats the question ive always kept in mind. they didnt do any harm as how israel in now doing to palestine and others. OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE!!!

They also brushed over the discriminiation the boys said they faced but that's just my opinion and overall it was a 4/10.

It is they whose works shall come to nought both in this world and in the life to come; and they shall have none to succour them.

by the way I think it was mentioned in the Bible that a 12 year old girl (I think it was Mary? Correct me if I'm wrong) married a 90 year old man.
" This is clinically and psychologically considered PEDOPHILIA in most civilised countries today."
So Japan is not civilised for allowing marriage for at least a 13 year old person (because y'know, that is still a young age).
"as most of his actions are criminal and mentally unstable in our laws."
sure, being called "Sadiq" (Truthful) and "Amin" (Trustworthy) even by his enemies makes him a criminal. Bleh.
"please don't talk like I don't know nothing about Islam, when I know a lot about Islam."
that's like every Islamic hater's claim. Sorry, but no. Your knowledge about Islam is pretty much on the level of ISIS's knowledge.

I live in a Sydney area where the largest Korean community is. I'm sorry but I have to say Korean is one of the most racist, judgmental, rude and discriminative people I know. Regardless of the age, you'll see Korean will always hang out in their Korean group. They don't really assimilate. It's not uncommon to see Koreans that have migrated to Australia for decades can't even speak English properly. Of course this isn't for all. In fact one of my best friends is Korean and those Koreans who hang out with non Koreans are some of the loveliest & most open-minded people. They also admitted the things I said and recognised it's one of the biggest problems with Korean and their mindset. That's the reason why they make the changes and hang out with non Koreans. Nadia A I don't close my eyes to the video evidence of what goes on in the cult of Islam in the world today. Ask her if she prefers Sharia law as the law of the land. They settle in new communities and do no always assimilate. Too many of them wait patiently for enough of them to settle in so then they can make their stand. The Muslims that do not want Sharia laws are welcome... Sharia laws allow to kill gays, subject women to modest dress, stone people to death, cut off hands and punish non Muslims. Wake up. This video tugs at the heart and she does not deserve it. But this opens the conversation to Muslim settlements into non Muslim countries. And all evidence shows too many of them in one place causes an uprise of demands AGAINST the existing culture.

I'm a Malaysian, I'm a Hijab wearer and I can feel her concern. I'm lucky that even though my country is multi-racial, we respect, help each other in need and live in harmony. But I have a few foreign friends and I often meet new foreigners during my degree years in the university. I often get questions like "Why do you wear Hijab?" "Do you shower in that?", "Do your parents, like, force you to wear that thing?", "Can you hear well while wearing that?". Some of the questions I get are lighthearted and genuinely curious and seek to educate themselves on a topic they don't know about, and I don't mind those, but what irks me is the ignorant questions that people love to ask like "Are you bald?" No.... I'm not bald. Stop asking. And you can't see my hair either. Stay in your lane, fam. I think the problem is that people really don't understand why many Muslims wear the hijab. The hijab is a choice, and definitely not forced on women. I have so many Muslim girl friends that don't wear a hijab. So what? I'm not oppressed, contrary to popular belief. I wear my hijab as a marker of my faith and I wear it proudly. Some of my friends are being scolded multiple times on the street when travelling abroad just because they were wearing their hijab saying that "Why you're here? Just go back to your country. We don't need you here!". It was traumatic indeed. But we never scolded them for wearing bikinis at our beach even though Islam is the official religion here in Malaysia. It's ironic why is it that Christian nuns are seen as devoted while Muslim hijabis are seen as oppressed and in need of savior? Okay, I'm done ranting. Btw, there are also nice people who smiles and greet when they see me on the street and said that my hijab is beautiful and they like it etc. There are good people and also the bad one. I just wanna convey that sometimes what you see/watch in the tv about islam/hijab is not everything. Do your research first before making any assumptions. As the saying goes "Don't judge a book by its cover" so don't judge people on what they wear as well.

iylia syazwanie hijab is a choice but it is wajib. Protecting your relationship with Allah is important. But then again no one is force cause in the end of the day everything is about your own choices and how you want to live cause it is your life. We have the right to remind others about all these things but do it in the right way. Forcing is not one of it cause it actually makes us reluctant from doing it. I'm glad I'm born in Malaysia tbh cause our people are very active in dakwah within the muslim community in school, uni level, tv, mosque etc.
I just hope that the muslims who are being discriminated and have their lives in stake stay strong. When I heard that a muslim woman in America decided to not wear hijab when she voted for the election because she is scared just broke my heart like this woman case in Korea.

I honestly really feel bad for the lady, she came to South Korea simply because of her love and interest for the country, and was discriminated so much, and then if she goes back to Uzbekistan; her kid gets discriminated. People seriously need to stop judging people based off of appearance, I hope she and her kids have a better future.

Baegopayo Myaa As i said a terrorist doesn't have a religion. There is no such thing as true muslims. Sometimes i say swear words without even realising it and i regret it. But not because someone says they are muslim u beleive them. Wearing the hijab or the burka doesn't always mean that they are muslims. In fact wearing the burka isn't a part of being a muslim and i'm afraid of them in fact. You don't know if it's a guy or a girl underneath XD Anyways islam is more of a spiritual thing u have to do all of the rules to become a true muslim. U can't be like hey i'm muslim and that's it. So yeah hope u understand.

Baegopayo Myaa BTW we were taught to accept others no matter what their religion/race is, so if you met someone that claims to be 'muslim' and is very dissrespectful to your beliefs and traditions, that's not a muslim they are just pretending. In fact i have lots or christian friends and i adore them even if we don't have the same beliefs we are really good friends.

Baegopayo Myaa actually right now in Burma, Buddhists are having their own ethnic cleansing of rohinyga Muslims which they are murdering hundreds of thousands of them and displacing millions. I can say so many more examples of other people in religions doing horrific things yet your only able to give examples of people who say they are doing it for Islam when in actual fact there are bad people in every group of people and by grouping them together only creates more hate

sourabh anugrah Says the Indian... what have your parents taught you? Have you ever bothered to ask your grandparents what was it like before the British rule? Before British rule, India was one. There was no Pakistan Bangladesh etc. We used to live together peacefully.... but then British came and they ruin everything... they divide us. They British only ruled for a long time because they created fights between us. Conflict so we couldn’t unite against them... and even when they left... they divide our country and still left fighting over us after different countries formed. We fight because of a stupid territory. All those wars hatred is because of the British and a stupid territory... Try to look into our own history instead of blindly hating.

My blood boils for this woman's concern. I also relate to Joonhyung when he was sharing his mother's experience ordering chicken; my parents who also didn't speak English that well also went through similar experiences here in the states. It's extremely painful being on the receiving side of discrimination.

The most fucked up thing is when I watched this show via daum (korean famous website), I read through all the comments written by knetz and sadly to say 99.9% of the comments is negative. Most of them commented like 'go back to ur country', 'that's her problems, not us', she should assimilate', 'wear like koreans if u want to live in our country' etc. I went through down to the first comment out of curiosity and only less than 5 people received it well. They commented like ' i hope u will have a good life here, 'cheer up my friend'. I WAS SO DISSAPOINTED WHEN I READ THOSE HATE COMMENTS (which is A LOT), I MEAN HOW CAN THEY BE SO IGNORANT?

The people who have something negative to say will always comment, but the people who are tolerant usually wont. Korea is definitely still a very homogenous country that isn't used to many foreigners, but each generation gets progressively more accepting of other cultures. It's kinda like the USA in the 70s

Then one day, there was a girl in my class told me to screwed up. Then I said, " have you ever been to a foreign country?" . She said " yes, to Malaysia". I ask her. " Have you been treat nicely there?". She said " Yes" . Then I told her, " If you are bein treat in a good way at Malaysia where there is a lot of Muslim people, then you also treat us like one of the kind human" I said that in front of her. Oh my goodness, it's really disappointed.
I'm a Korean and I would like to apologize to Muslims whose feeling was hurt because of citizens'
    disrespectful to Muslims.
It must be hard to endure when people disrespect your culture, and it was wrong for them to do something like this.
I have a Muslim friend, and when I talk to my classmates about this Muslim friends, they warned me not to make Muslims friend.
Yes, some people from our country don't like someone who was different from them.
But, I thought everyone has their own culture, and no matter how different you are, everyone is called "HUMAN".
Like this videos' Muslim, she shared about how she was hurt when the server from a restaurant was disrespectful.
    Yes, it's really wrong.
The server shouldn't behaving like this, just because Muslim look different.
I believe Muslims wear Hijab for their own culture or for some reason.
And I always thought we should respect every culture, no matter people with different skin colour, or some more.
As I say, some people from our country don't like people who are different from them, as some of them thought people who are different means evil?
We shouldn't judge people by its cover, as you can see, Muslims are all friendly and kind (!!)

This isn’t a korean problem. It’s a people problem. Don’t say “koreans are racist”. If you come to my country in Europe, supposed to be advanced and modern, people discriminate asian people and black people A LOT. In all countries, all around the world, there are good and bad people. Good people are the ones who are always able to see past the differences. So many people who have a different colour, different language and different culture from mine are so much more similar to me. I met a Vietnamese girl in college who is my friend and we get along so well. With understanding, it’s very easy to connect with people who look so different from us.

Koreans in Seoul are arrogant & rude mostly peoples aged 40's above.. I visit South Korea for holiday with my family.. I visit Seoul, Busan & Jeju Island.. In my opinion, peoples who lived far from Seoul are kindness (Not saying all Seoul people are racist & rude). In Busan, during arrival with KTX from Seoul (Yeah! it was Train to Busan minus The Zombies).. elderly, i think in group age 60's to 70's was very kind & helpful, some elderly say about the luggage beg (mention its heavy) & some trying to help me carry the beg.. It was great when, elderly in Busan try to start conversation with stranger even they not fluent in English.. In Jeju Island, peoples are more tourist oriented, they say hi when you walk pass them, the youngster fluent in English even help me & family to get used to Jeju Island roads & tourist destination.. My holiday trip to South Korea are worth in Jeju Island as we rent a car & tour Jeju Island for 3 day.. But not in Seoul, we commute to every tourist attraction with subway train.. Youngster (Boys & Girls) could not care less as they see people (foreigner) everyday, the middle age men always doing their own business.. But i really hate this group.. The group called Ahjumma ( middle age women that you can refer as auntie), always stare, stare, stare at us like we a group of aliens.. Some even did not permit my mom & aunt to sit near them in train.. "There is someone sitting here" an Ahjumma say to my mom & aunt while pointing to empty space fit for two person.. I think that Ahjumma had imaginary friends as the empty seat for two was not occupied for near 30 minutes before that Ahjumma exit the train.. that was Lil bit my story of how Koreans treat foreigner especially Muslim in Korea.. Far from what i see in dramas, variety show in Korea, when they are modest & helpful.. :(

      Salam (Peace) -----

Goomjob actually, at times I myself do get shocked by the people in my own country for their ignorance and stupidity. thus the councelors being shocked is possibly genuine. although I would say the most genuine person there is probably joon park who had witnessed driscimination himself.

    Be proud ma'am :) I'm really proud that I was born/raised being Muslim :)
if people hate you its okay because I know NOT everyone hates you :), but don't let Allah subhanahu wata'ala hate you 😊 Deen over Dunya 😊
sorry if my english not really good.
"no matter how kind you are there is some people who hate you" I'm forget where I heard this quotation 😄 but there are many people who will accepted you as the way you are.
I have so many friends in my college who are different religions and they accepted me as the way I am 😊 they said if your hijab can make you become more close with your God, then why you should take your hijab off?
and my hijab was bigger and long than her, everyone have the rights to use everything they wants 😊
and I also get called Terrorist many times because my hijab but I ignore it because I'm NOT 😊 have a nice day everyone 😄😊
    # I don't want to argue with negative comments 😂
    Peace ✌

As a Muslim that is dark skinned and has curly hair, I can most definitely say that when i visited Korea, a lot of people were pointing at me and not my mom because my mom is fair skinned and has a japanese hair perm. It definitely sucks to be discriminized and I understand how she feels because I feel the same way when I cover my hair with a scarf and it happens a lot. Its really sad that so many people grew up racist and hate us muslims so much... I dont even know what we have done to deserve so much hate and the way she says things shows that she has tried to handle these things in a professional way.

although i am not muslim, let alone religious at all, i still wish we could all see each other as equal. muslim, jewish, christian, catholic, buddhist, etc - everyone is human and deserves to be treated with respect.

I am so thankful to this women for being brave enough to come on to national TV to discuss such a serious topic. I am also very grateful to Hello counselor for being so open minded and allowing this episode to be discussed. Problems like Discrimination should be discussed, because if these things are not spoke about, ignorance will never disappear.

i went to Korea about 2 years ago with my sister. as a Hijabi myself, i understand how much it’s concerning for her to be scared for her life being threatened like that by some Koreans. I was threatened myself too in a train in Seoul, an elderly lady just randomly walked around my and my sister and spitted at our shoes around 4 times and said very harsh words ( luckily my sister understood hangul alot). Others in the train just stared and giggled🙁. I was offended but kept the trip going with joy. On the other side, We also went to Jeju Island and all of the people there was soooo polite🥺. The lady that owns the hotel we stayed in was very concern about us and even packed up breakfast at 4 am as our flight to Seoul was in the early morning. She even said “ i hope to see you again” and gave a warm hug.❤️. I do hope koreans will be kore open about foreigners in the future☺️
