The main issue i have with my vive trackers is the white balls are where my trackers are on me, but they don’t line up with me avatar very well, idk if it’s just the avatar, but I think when I first started using them they lined up perfectly with the avatar feet, idk what i changed
Been having strange issues with calibration.. whenever I change my "real height" to 5'7 which is my real height, my avi goes GIANT on the calibration screen, like HUGE almost like I stayed tiny.. any idea why this happens??
@@BlindRabbitThings hmmm. Maybe try the legacy option for calibration? Or just make sure your eyes match the view center on the avatar and ignore the real height?
Great fbt update advices 👌 Do you have your trackers assigned to each part of your body in the SteamVR tracker management settings Dusty? Also do you keep your trackers' watchdog dongles close to each other, or do you spread them farther away? I used to have my hip tracker position in the same way as you, but I moved the hip tracker over to the back-left side with one of the base stations being behind me just so my left hand doesn't obstruct its view, or I don't keep hitting tracker with a controller accidentally when I'm relaxing my hands, I like my hands hanging relaxed on the side and slightly to the front of my hip when I'm idle 🤭
My vive dongles are on the corner of my desk. Each have about 3 inches between them in a stagger of 2 rows. I do not have them assigned, because I just grab and go. 😆 Yes sometimes my hand blocks it but very rarely.
Thanks for mentioning Lock Both, that makes a huge difference. Do you have a recommendation for attaching hip and chest to body? Im using two belt type straps and they just do a terrible job of staying put. Have a type or brand you can recommend?
Trying to set up FBT so far just trying to use camera tracking, while I got it mostly working my lower half tends to spaz around a bit unless I add smoothing but then kills the reaction time of my legs and stuff. Wondering if you had any luck with camera tracking? OR maybe at least better than I have, seen some tutorials but they don't seem to give enough info, or move to quickly past details. Kinda got the push to try FTB thanks to trying out a world that has the just dance game oddly found it fun even though not being a dancer, but seemed like could be more fun with FBT as well as other VRchat and game stuff.
Is there a specific reason why you chose the legacy fbt callibration over the new method - Is it more precise with chest and elbow tracking? I continue taking the T-pose even with the new callibration method, I guess it's like a mantra or simply out of habit for me, just assures me I don't mess anything accidentally 😅
I like the legacy fbt because it is what I "grew up with" but also sometimes I feel like I have better accuracy when I use play space mover to align my feet.
Okay so, where I put my tracker is where you put your but when I move my arms it can move it sometimes which moves my whole body. Do you or anyone you know have info that could help me with this?
I literally remember the day when I was getting into VRChat for the first time and got introduced into what FBT is by some very nice people that I stil hangout with, then went to TH-cam and stumbled upon a guy with 11 point tracking…. I was blown away by how expensive this shit is and how unbelievable it all sounded like, but here I am a year after, index, 4 basestations, 8 vive trackers…
How do you mount/strap your chest tracker? Im making some SlimeVR's for a friends birthday and the only "chest tracker mounts" I can find as images is with guys which you know don't have the booba. Do you also just make a strap at the top like the guys or do you have more of a harness/bra style mount?
That is what I do in the launch options. But now in the menu you can choose between the new one and the old one I believe. It's a menu button with a star on it that says legacy.
Sometimes avatars arms are extra long. In that case in the advanced options in tracking and IK, you can move + rotate the tracker balls and see if you can align them with your elbows.
@@DustBunnyVR Was also just wondering where exactly do you put your elbow trackers?I've been trying to place them for better tracking but it's either uncomfortable for me or hard for the base station to catch.
I put mineon the bicep right above the elbow. I have just been using ankle straps that were meant for the feet. Not comfy at all with velcro unfortunately @@ValentinoZhou-o8r
Yes! However, to use trackers like this one and to play THIS version of the VRChat, you will need to connect your Quest 3 to a VR-ready gaming computer There is a standalone version of VRChat that is for the Quest 3 all by itself (so without a computer) but it works differently, has many limitations, crashes often, and body tracking is harder to use This game is rated for ages 14 and older but I only recommend that only adults play it
Thank you so much, you are amazing for explaining, I hope you have a good day always! ❤❤

You do have to do T-pose if you have arm trackers on. No way around that.

Check out EOZ straps!
@@DustBunnyVR Thanks! They are sold out but the chest strap looks perfect. I'll keep an eye on it.

I use a normal VR hip tracker belt for my chest tracker. I just tighten it tight above the breast around my back.
so thats not uncomfy at all for long play time and loads of movement@@DustBunnyVR
How do you get the green balls and are able to move them when callibrating?
