    The production quality is looking great! Getting all the angles, good background music, and looks like a lot of fun. I can’t wait to go back in September with other VAG guys

    Good to see this chassis finally getting the recognition it deserves for its amazing off-road capabilities. My Mom had a 2006 V6 Touareg and man, VW Auto Group built a really solid platform for their first SUV. She sold her Touareg at 250k miles, and still had a lot of life left in her. I remember taking it on some easy trails near my place and was pleasantly surprised at how well it did on 20" street tires lmao. When VW/Porsche came out with these, reviewers were pleasantly surprised at how well they did off-road, and reviewers all praised this chassis (both Touareg and Cayenne, but not so much the Q7). Now that these are so affordable it's tight seeing people pick these up and use them for off-roading instead of being parked at the local Whole Foods. Came with great engine options too, and were for the most part pretty reliable besides the model that came with the W12 engine. I'm gonna start searching for one myself. I'd love to pick up the V10 TDI, or V8 TT. The TDI had some insane torque.

    Wonderful achievement. And, great video too. It is sick to see all the jeep surrounding your cayenne when you drive uphill at 8:23.

      Not so common? Lol, bro old Cayennes and Touareg's are the hotness right now. Literally all the serious off-road peeps are picking them up. Its like when people found out about the 240sx during the golden era of drifting. Cheap/affordable, solid off-road capabilities in stock form, really solid chassis with great engine options(minus the w12) with tons of aftermarket support and years of knowledge and know-how to keep them reliable/mechanically sound.

    Conteúdo incrível. Muito bom ver o desempenho desse carro no offroad estou em dúvida em pegar uma 2006 dessas ou uma Discovery 3 2006 também para fazer o mesmo uso

    Don't feel bad about the getting lost part. I was using a good GPS map last month, and still missed a number of the turns because they were terribly marked. I missed some good footage because i was just frustrated at that point from all the turning around we had to do.

    Great Vid, whats your Cayenne equipped with in terms of 4x4, I think most have low range, but do all have rear and centre diff locks? and if so are they useful? i know the centre lock isnt a true lock of all 4 wheels, not sure how they work though

    • @HarrisonSchoen
      @HarrisonSchoen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I've only got a center locker, no rear or front. not entirely sure how it works either!

    • @SteveBratt
      @SteveBratt 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@HarrisonSchoen ah, mine has the rear and centre Locke and low range, I believe there are some out there with an optional electronic detaching roll bar for more movement off road. Do you find yourself using low range and the locking diff? Love to know or see a video of how you find the cayenne compared to the other 4x4's you run with, it seems pretty capable even in basic form,

    • @tareskisloki8579
      @tareskisloki8579 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only the first generation has low range, they all have a center diff lock, the rear diff lock was an option that hardly anybody ticked.

      @@HarrisonSchoen What was necessary to fit the 35s? I know 33s go on fairly easy with a lift and some minor trimming (at least from what ive read) - whats needed for 35s? I assume at that point the geometry of the suspension needs some work
