I'm having trouble with the initial part of the trick. After the mount you intercept the back sting, I'm fine with that, but after that I can get the yoyo to enter the center string right. can anybody help...?
It's not just the yoyo itself but also the skill of the player. If you have an advantage like the ability to do faster tricks, even if the Shutter doesn't have that speed ability you can use your speed ability to combine with the yoyo. Like any disavantaged yoyos, for example some yoyos are too narrow for string tricks, some are too big for tech, and vice versa. But if you have the same ability with that yoyo but "even better" you can use the yoyo without that ability to make yoyoing easier. Here's an example: Let's compare this with the Shutter and the Horizon. Shutter- Wider than the Horizon but can't do finger spins like the Horizon, if you are "really" great at finger spins that a yoyo without the finger spin ability and yet you need a wider yoyo then the Shutter is okay for you. Horizon- Great for finger spins but more narrow than the Shutter, if you are "really" great tech tricks that you can still do your combo with a narrow yoyo. Then still use the Horizon.
It depends on what you are looking for in a yoyo. If you are interested in 1a and 5a definitely go with the Canon. We do not plan to make more Forge yoyos. If you felt the Shutter is light I am not sure what to recommend, especially if you want something that feels heavier and is good for speed... because those two things do not usually go together. Leave the Magicyoyos alone, unless that's literally all you can afford to get. Their design and manufacturing is so inconsistent that (except for the Skyva, which is a really decent yoyo) they are really hit or miss, not just between models, but between individual units. Go for the Replay, or the Skyva, if you want plastic unresponsive, or the Sage if you want responsive like your FAST 201. Otherwise, save up a bit and get yourself a Shutter, Horizon, Aviator 2, Too H.O.T., or something like that. They all run around $50 and are well worth the price, especially the Shutter and Aviator.

The edge seems to spin forever even on multiple string layers...my dv888 dies after 8 seconds on a single string.
