    I recently bought a Zoom H6 Black as my first audio recorder. The quality is remarkable even with the standard X/Y microphone.

      Finally after almost 150 views the first comment! :) Audio community seems a little shy making comments. I'm sure you have a lot of fun with that. I ordered the LOM Geofone and would love to make a video about this. But its in Hong Kong and we left already.

      Free To Use Sounds I find we’re a pretty shy bunch too. I’m sure the LOM geofone is great, but am yet to buy one. I use a pair of Uši Pro for the majority of my field recording now and I can believe the difference they’ve made. Not just to the technical quality of my recordings, but to how I approach recording too - they’re light and small, they can fit almost anywhere, no excuse not to have them on me!

    • @FreeToUseSounds
      @FreeToUseSounds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Harrison Ridley Oh yes the Usis are great microphones and I’m glad to have two pairs. The geofone is already sold out so to get one you have to be super quick. I’m glad I got it but can’t use it :((

    Verrückt diese Europäer, die schrauben sogar ihre Katze auf ein Stativ :) Danke für den Tipp. Nachdem ich gesehen habe, wie günstig diese kleinen Piezo-Mikros sind und dass man sie sogar ganz leicht selbst bauen kann, mach ich mich mal ans Werk. Tolle Bilder und wieder mal ein echt perfekter Schnitt. Hong Kong hat sich wohl wirklich gelohnt. Gute Reise weiterhin. Obwohl, bei euch kann man auch sagen: Gutes Leben weiterhin.

    • @FreeToUseSounds
      @FreeToUseSounds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      hahaha! Ja die hat perfekt gepasst! :) Wenn Du selber löten kannst und die Zeit hast dann hast du so ein piezo pickup super schnell selber gemacht. Schau aber auch das Du Interference mit berücksichtigst und es davor schützt. Wir wären so gerne etwas laenger geblieben und haben Asien komplett abgeblasen. Cambodia, South Korea und Japan waren die nächsten Ziele. Es sieht auch aus das die Situation was mit momentan erleben nicht besser wird und es einen mehr und mehr Angst macht. Hoffen wir das alles bald wieder besser wird.

    Imagine a slightly windy day with few trees outside a ground floor window,.. with a few nearby birds,.. would a contact mic attached to the window pick up the sound of the wind blowing through the trees, the birds chirping nearby and maybe some distant rolling thunder in a way that'd be pleasing and sounding pretty normal and recognisable?

      Well it depends on what part you like to fix the contact microphone but it is definitely possible. I did this already in Thailand on a 125ccm and fixed it on a frame. Just make sure you check the SPL of the microphone because that's what I would worry about. So keep that in mind and you are good to go.
