- Are minorities, especially Muslims, just votebanks, not voices? Is there any difference between “right-wing” and “secular” political parties when it comes to representational politics?

Insightful as always, Aditya bhai!
Historical atrocities is not a myth. Various muslim travellors like Ibn Batuta have given graphic descriptions.
Appeasement is also not a myth. The UPA wanted to give separate quota bases on religion in their second regime. Just before the 2012 assembly elections, Congress wanted to give 4.5% muslim subquota within the 27% OBC quota. The election commission stopped it. The election commissioner then was Mr. S. Y. Quareshi. Also, according to the anti-communal violence bill only Muslims can be the victims of communal violence. In Shah Bano case, the congress government, rattled by loses in by-elections, overturned the Supreme Court judgement. In February, 2020, Tamil Nadu chief minister gave 50% subsidy or Rs. 25,000, whichever is lower, to Ulema for buying new two wheelers. Tamil Nadu has a separate 3.5% quota for backward class muslims from 2007 within the 30% reservation for OBCs. Is this not based on religion? All these are not appeasement?
Talking of Mamta's `bravery' , she is greatly dependent upon the 27% muslim population. What else does one expect?.
When everyone is involved in a scandal.it is no longer a scandal it is a feast😅. And however secular a Hindu may be he/she will hardly vote for a Muslim MP.
❤❤
Not a single word on patriarchal Muslim personal laws.
