    Hats off to you guys!!

It seems to me that, in principle, this is a wood burning (centrifugal compression) jet engine. Useless thrust:weight ratio, but 100% a self boosting, forced induction, turbine. Brilliant! Subbed!

Some pointers for #4: Compressor boost pipe needs to be way bigger, 4" at min with bigger ball valve. Put inner liner tube inside to hold wood/fuel so flame is not touching out wall. Don't use rubber or flexible hose of turbo waste oil line. Use bleed air to control max RPM, dump it off. For starting, "Air Impingement" is the term you looking for. Kinda how you are doing it, the compressor inlet housing can be carefully drilled to direct a pair of compressed air streams onto the compressor wheel keeping air guns and other crap away from the wheel. A large bore nozle in the boost line may also work with venturi effect.

You need to split the air supply, send some of it direct to the hot side of turbo to burn the smoke.

  • @wadetate6459

This thing is going to blow up every turbo you put on it. Drive pressure in tank is probably insane. 100+ psi. If you waste gate it enough to control drive pressure the shaft speed will be too high and the turbo wheels will explode. It needs big wastegates on both the cold and hot side in order to control that much air.
Once that’s solved we can talk about how your going to oil starve something spinning at 100,000 rpm every time you this thing.

Needs pressure oil lubrication to the journal bearings constantly, hand pumping on occasion won't allow the shaft to float properly and it will eventually fail which I saw in your latest video, I've messed around with homemade turbo jets and I always ran an oil pump at the turbo's recommended oil pressure. Still bloody entertaining to watch your vids though 👌

don't have a door like that have on end of drum with screw thread and mech to open and shut
also u need a couple of entry points for boost so regulate with value air feed to control fuel burn
also u need to feed turbo oil under pressure constantly or turbo will blow
to make it more fun put a one way valve in intake after boost with a very light spring SOS a slight Breeze opens then just natural fire flow should spool turbo and have a bigger chimney help rush air
also if you are closing off the air feed boost u need a blow off valve or ur going to have a huge fire kill impact both killing the air flow and slowing down the turbine speed with back pressure resistance
probably want to use wastegate instead and bleed exhaust bypassing turbine as better regulator
and I would put ur spool speed up on the chimney side causing a rush vacuum thought fire box with air hose instead of on air box or into the boost turbine

Turbos are driven by the heat energy of the exhaust caused by the burning fuel. This is just using the heat from the burning wood to drive the turbine. Which drives a compressor that provides more air to burn the wood faster and make more heat.

  • @kwaka140

Plumbing the waste oil into the drum is a mistake because the drum is pressurised. The waste oil needs to freely drain out of the turbo

Hook an air line with a regulator up to the oil tank so you don't have to run near hat beast lol
Is this a new bigger tank ? Last video I saw it had a 4mm thick flat door sunk down in which decreased the volume of air that needed compressed. A tank that size is going to need to be pretty much leak free I think. Shame high temp silicone sheet is expensive, would grip better than those wood burner seals.

I think you lack pression the seal is already in you're bucket list i think but maybe you can test a new exhaust in a cone shape who decrease size (smallest than the turbo exhaust) that would help to create more presure in the system and it will also increase the speed of the exhaust gas (but if you start to increase the pressure watch out to not have a to much pressure that will create a explosion to avoid that create a door that will explode if to much pressure is in the system)
