Have you ever been to Ulaanbaatar, or is Mongolia on your travel list? If you’ve been, I’d love to hear about your experiences, and if not, what would you most want to explore there?
Mongolia will never be able to attract Western tourism. the best it can Hope for is Chinese and Russian tourism which is also good..Mongolia is not too different to central Asian countries which is easier to get too and have more interesting views.
thou in reality inner Mongolia gets most Chinese tourists that want to experience Mongol culture and tuva does the same for Russia. so in reality few if any people that aren't Chinese, Russian or say Korean will ever step foot in Mongolia
Such a fabulous video Syifa about a wonderful country that goes under most people's radars. Another informative and hugely entertaining watch. Thanks so much for posting!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Mongolia really is such a hidden gem, and I’m so glad I could share a glimpse of it with you. Your support means a lot to me! 😊
Your presentation is beautiful, Mongolia is a beautiful country with so much history, we have to visit and explore. Wishes a great and wealthy future for the Mongolians.
Thank you so much for your kind words! Mongolia truly is a stunning country with such rich history. I completely agree, it’s a place that deserves to be explored and appreciated.
Ah Terry, I think you definitely should add Mongolia to one of your bucket list destinations. I have about 5 more videos from the country and I hope it gives you a glimpse of what the country is like. I did, however, travel a bit more adventurously but you can definitely tailor it to your preferences.
Wow Syifa welcome back after going silent abit, miss your informative videos soo much keep it up producing much more videos really amazing viewing your exellent educative presentation
Very diffrent from the series I watched in netflex, the Kingdom I never thought Mongolia is a modern country. Happy to see your vlog and update my information about Mongolia. 👌😘
Thank you so much! 😊 I’m glad my vlog could give you a new perspective on Mongolia. It’s such a unique mix of tradition and modernity, definitely a country full of surprises!
Thank you so much for saying that! It means a lot to hear. It's been such a journey, and I'm grateful for all the growth along the way. So happy to have you here supporting me!
Very informative, very well filmed and edited! Such a joy to watch! 😍👍 Thank you for sharing your experience with us and making us wanna follow your steps someday! 😁
I haven’t watched Syifa’s video for sometimes, now hear she speak a perfect British English accent….very cool, she was always spoke American accent before..
Thank you for noticing! 😊 My accent probably shifts a little depending on where I am or who I’ve been around, but since I moved to the UK around 3 years ago, my accent has changed a lot. So glad to have you back watching my videos. 😊
Was in Mongolia in 2017. Felt perfectly safe and people were helpful and friendly, even in downtown Ulaan Baatar. Only time I got scammed was when I took an actual taxi instead of flagging someone on the road. Even then I only got overcharged by about 2 US dollars.
I agree it's a perfectly safe country to travel to. Although having said that, you can easily get stuck in a Mongolian "hotel" next to room that has a very drunken local who likes to knock on your door in the middle of the night. Hahaha that was me speaking from an actual experience 😂 Thanks so much for your comment!
Mario, thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so glad you enjoyed the video and found it informative. Mongolia is such a fascinating country, and it means a lot to me to be able to share its beauty with you.
Thank you so much! I can’t wait to share the countryside journey with you, it’s truly a place like no other. The vast landscapes and unique nomadic culture are unforgettable, and I hope it comes through in the videos. Stay tuned! 😊

Hi Syifa. What an interesting and at the same time beautiful country of Mongolia. I love that you started an episode with local interactions again because the they are nice people. I can’t wait to see the next episode. I hope you have fun in Mongolia. Because of you and the videos created, I’m planning on making my own travel vlog and I want to give some tips from you of how did you start your travel vlogs and how do you make it successful. I hope you have fun in Mongolia.

Your taking is very very good. Quality and clarity of picture is superb . With which you are taking videos. Pls let me know. Your narration and voice is also very good.❤ All the best.
Thank you so much for your kind words! ❤ I really appreciate it. I mostly use my Sony A600 and GoPro for filming. For narration, I just try to keep it natural and heartfelt. So glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Hello, 19:19 at this park, I almost run daily at that time around, tried my luck finding myself in the video but no luck :D. Thanks for visiting my country anyway !
Hello! Wow, 19:19 is such a specific time, what a coincidence! 😊 Maybe next time you’ll spot yourself in one of my videos. Thank you for sharing that, and your country is absolutely beautiful, so glad I got to visit!
Hi Syifa, lovely video of Ulaanbaatar, thank you! I know many of the countries, you are travelling to, though their music. So it is with Mongolia: I produced 5 CDs of Mongolian traditional music. If you're still in the area, treat yourself to a performance of Mongolian traditional music - it is beautiful and fascinating! Looking forward to more videos from this region!
Thank you so much, Diz! I am so glad to hear that you enjoyed seeing UB from my lens. Yes I agree that Mongolian music are so catchy to listen to :D Thank you so much for your kind comment, as always!

Jorn, what a lovely comment! I just cant thank you enough for your generous observation and for writing it! I am so so glad to hear such a feedback and yes it takes a lot of work to create a travel video, exhausting and mentally taxing at times. This video was thankfully edited together between my husband, Dave and my editor, Jordan.
I am from Bangladesh. I am 17 years old. Your video is educative and fascinating. After a few days. l going to travel blog. Pray for me ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
That’s such an interesting topic! Mongolia’s culture is deeply rooted in its nomadic traditions, and their way of life is closely tied to the land and livestock. Agriculture isn’t as widespread due to the vast steppes, but animal husbandry, raising horses, sheep, goats, and cattle, is a huge part of their system. I’ll try to highlight some of this in the upcoming videos. Thanks for your curiosity!
Hi Syifa, I am curious about some details of your trip. How did you get to Mongolia? Where did you fly in from? What airline? Mongolia has been in my list for I don’t know how long too but I have never gotten the chance/
Hi! 😊 The easiest flight routes to Mongolia depend on where you're coming from. For Asia, popular connections are through Seoul, Beijing, Tokyo, or Hong Kong. From Europe, you can fly via Frankfurt or Istanbul. I flew into Ulaanbaatar from Kuala Lumpur with Korean Airlines, which was super convenient as I had a speaking engagement in Malaysia prior to this.
@@SyifaAdriana Thank you for your response! You really inspire me. I'm planning to travel more next year like you. I'm a Philippine passport holder and I know how hard it is applying for visa in most of the countries. Looking forward to more of your videos! And I hope you can provide more of the details of your trips.
Mongolia can actually be quite affordable, especially outside of Ulaanbaatar. Usually it's tour arrangements and private transports that can be expensive. Local food are budget-friendly, but you can also find more upscale restaurants like the one in my video if you want to treat yourself!
Syifa, you're right about Mongolia being a buffer zone between China and Russia. It was indeed established as such by the former Soviet Union. The two great powers have decided not to alter the status quo. In contrast, Ukraine's role as a buffer zone has been intentionally undermined by the US and to some extent the EU countries, which has led to severe consequences. As we can see, this has resulted in significant casualties and destruction. Buffer zones were primarily created to maintain peace between great powers, and when their purpose is disregarded, there can be detrimental outcomes. Have a safe and pleasant trip. Thank you for sharing, as always.
Thank you for your thoughtful insights! It’s fascinating how buffer zones like Mongolia and Ukraine play such a significant role in global geopolitics. Mongolia’s position has certainly helped preserve its unique culture and independence, but the situation with Ukraine shows how delicate and complex these dynamics can be. I really appreciate you sharing your perspective.
Not sure what to think of Mongolia, it draws me as it is off beat, (though lately every youtuber seems to go there) it seems near impossible to explore without a tour or car... and don't feel up to the task of exploring it on bicycle. Curious what you're going to show us in the upcoming episodes.
I totally get what you mean! You’re right, getting around without a car or tour can be tricky, but that’s part of the adventure haha. I’m excited to share more about Mongolia and I hope it gives you a better idea of what’s possible here.
Thank you so much for your sweet comment, Oscar! indeed it's a fascinating country with a mix of tradition, a bit of Socialist and modern Western. I agree that winter is harsh in Mongolia but I highly recommend visiting in the summer as they have got summer festival happening everywhere in the country, locally known as Nadaam.
Hmm I think there are a few obvious differences I'd say would be their language. Kazakh language are Turkic whereas Mongolian are Mongolic. Kazakhstan was part of Soviet Union therefore Russian is still widely spoken and many of Slavic cuisine can be easily found in KZ. Mongolia was a Socialist country but never part of Soviet Union and I find that they have a strong Mongolian identity.

I really appreciate you sharing your perspective.

Hello jurnalis cantik salah 1 pengagum mu terimakasih sudah berbagi ❤
Thank you!
Very nice.
Thank you so much!

Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it! 😊
at 6:11 that's actually the biggest university of Mongolia
Interesting! Thanks so much for correcting me. No wonder there were so many students in that area 😊

Mongolia 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you so much for watching!
20:17 lol ulanbatur look like fresh cold air. pollution really confuses me
UB is actually some of the most polluted capital city in the world, it's so apparent when you are physically there.
Greetings from California
Hello Mariano thank you so much for your kind comment and for watching!
Ganden monastery shows the close ties between Mongolia and Tibet.
Absolutely! It’s incredible to see how these ties have shaped both traditions over the centuries.
Do you have Mongolia now?
Thank you so much for your sweet comment, Oscar! indeed it's a fascinating country with a mix of tradition, a bit of Socialist and modern Western. I agree that winter is harsh in Mongolia but I highly recommend visiting in the summer as they have got summer festival happening everywhere in the country, locally known as Nadaam.

Thank you so much!

She is beautiful, good narrator and she drinks beer....
Haha, thank you so much! 😊 Gotta love exploring local drinks every now and then, adds to the adventure!
Ulaanbaatar is also the coldest capital of country in the world, ranked higher than Astana, Ottawa and Moscow
I agree! It's due to its high altitude as well as dry climate. Thanks so much for watching and for always leaving a comment. I appreciate it!
It is dry winter, which means wet winters in Chicago and South US during coldest January and February will feel colder than in UB
Wet cold just penetrates into ur bones, dry cold feels better, just need many layers and u r good
19:33 That basketball net needs to be fixed.
💀💀💀
Haha, I noticed that too! 😂 Maybe it’s part of the charm, but yeah, definitely in need of a little love!
Mongolia country is nice , there people great❤❤❤❤❤❤
Syifa, you are looking beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤❤, I like this video, but your all videos super ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Shifa what is the difference between the Mongolia and Kazakhstan look like Almaty very Good video Shifa ❤🎉
❤
Thank you so much for watching! I agree that it is indeed a beautiful country :)
Nice
