Girl alone, a dirt road through the forest, a drone showing the vast wildernis. It is thrilling and amazing, and equally crazy as the people of the guesthouse said. I love it and with me already more than 50.000 people within a day of posting. Thanks so much, dear Yan, for taking us to the farthest shores and borders of your vast country, and let us meet real people. All the uncles and aunts you introduce to us. Thanks for being our eyes and make our days a little more colourful and our minds a more respectful for everything beyond our border.

At the 22-minute mark, those are honey mushrooms (蜜环菌, "опята" in Russian). They're autumn fungi, not poisonous, and totally edible. They taste really good and aren't bitter at all. You can just fry them in butter for 15 minutes, and voila a tasty dish is ready.
Hello Yan. Greetings from Aotearoa (NZ). The scenery in this part of China is absolutely stunning and beautiful. We can just lay back and relax to watch your videos. Eye opening indeed to the beauty of nature. Thank you for all your hard works along your intrepid and remote journey. A big thumbs up and all the best.
In addition to moose, China also has reindeer and reindeer herders. Hope Yan could devote an episode to China's reindeer herders. They're the Evenki people. The Evenkis raise huge white reindeer and develop an inseparable bond with their animals. The Evenki culture is absolutely fascinating
It's a commitment by the government to ensure access to clean water, electricity, road network and minimum 4G internet in every village, town and city, no matter how remote. Naturally many of these infrastructure will never hope to recover the cost on their own, but the positive externalities are immense, so the state-owned companies are obliged to built them with subsidy from the far more profitable parts of their business.

You met a motorbike friendly group and spent a nice time together in the mushroom forest. Thanks for sharing your amazing excursion. God bless your hard work.😊

Re the coldness of Mohe versus Berlin and Liverpool ... the Gulf Stream, which is a warm ocean current, brings warmer than average water to the west coasts of the UK and the European continent, which makes it more temperate than similar locations inland. But the other reason is, as mentioned in the video, the fact that cold air masses can move unimpeded from the Artic Ocean to the Mohe region. The polar air masses behave similarly across central Canada, and often into the Central United States.
What a beautiful time of year in that region. When the lady said it was "impressive" that you were riding alone I thought 'you don't know the half of it', and from now on when I see a moose on TV I will always refer to it as a 'bulky-goofy'!
Yes, you're right, the coldness is due to the cold Siberian air in winter, whereas western Europe is surround by waters and warmer air comes from the Atlantic. The accomodation you stayed in looked so clean, despite being in the middle of nowhere. It's fascinating to see a blend of Russian and Chinese cultures. Deciding which mushroom is edible and which is not is like playing Russian roulette. Some are so poisonous they can be fatal.
You are the kind of person I look up to and I always want to be! You are on the road with many people’s dreams. I always wonder where you are now as I’m watching your new Episode. Stay safe and healthy, looking forward to your new stories.❤
Great video as always. We love to follow you on google maps as you visit the places you go. My wife was glad you didn’t eat the mushrooms. She wants you to survive to make more shows. It’s incredible that you are taking this long trip. I remember watching you get your license not too long ago. Ride safe.
8:50 Kang is a special big hollow birck bed in north China, shared by the whole family. And the hollow part is connected to the stove in the kitchen, so the fuel can be used to cook and warm the bed at the same time. In winter, the family can spend most of the day on the Kang bed, eating, chatting, playing, working, and sleeping. It's more like a living room than simple bedroom, and I have a lot of precious childhood memory with it.
This corner of China is much colder than Berlin because it is close to the Pole of Cold. The Pole of Cold is located in Yakutia, which has the coldest winter temperatures in the Northern Hemisphere. Both Berlin and Liverpool are warmer because the Gulf Stream passes through the Atlantic Ocean not far from them. The Gulf Stream is a warm current that moderates the climate in Northern Europe. That is why there is such a big difference in temperature at the same latitude in the Northern Hemisphere.
what I love and enjoy about your vlog is those places you visited like nowhere, which excites me to visit China and even live in those remote, countryside provinces, it seems like life is simple, happy and so peaceful, people are friendly always smiling plus the scenic beautiful view... how I wish ..

I love your mushroom picking trip. A year or so ago, I bought some expensive garden soil made locally in Tennessee, USA because my soil was not very good. They went to a lot of work to create this soil, and it had many kinds of life in it. After I used the bulk of it to fill my elevated garden beds, I had the guys spread the rest over the rest of the yard to give it a bit of vitality. Now, every morning when I walk the dog, there are many kinds of mushrooms in different places. There are a few old tree stumps in the yard, they have the best looking mushrooms. They look like some sort of natural works of art.
Mushrooming when you have only limited knowledge is very dangerous. many deaths in Australia eating wild mushrooms. Also be careful of red berries, these are also likely to be dangerous for human consumption.
I like your videos, very interesting. Allowing us to see places we would otherwise never see, especially on this local level. 24:47 Here in Russia we call this mushroom two differernt names: 1) dozhdevik (rain mushroom) while it is white and still usefull for cooking (but not very tasty) and 2) dedushkin tabak (grandfather`s tobacco) when it becomes brown and while you press it with fingers it throws out its seeds looking like smoke. When it`s brown it`s too late to cook it.
The reason why Siberian cities are so much colder than those in Western Europe despite being at the same latitude is not because Siberia is unnaturally cold, but that places like London are unnaturally warm. Northwest Europe is warmed up by the Jetstream that bring warm air from the south Atlantic. If that Jetstream breaks down, then London will become just as cold as Siberia.
Not really, In winter, the land cools sharply, unlike water, which can give off heat for a long time, softening frosts. Also, the mountains lying between the warm air masses from the south and Siberia do not allow warm air to pass through, consolidating the cold climate. Siberia has only Baikal but on such vast space it's not enough.
You are right. Apart from the Sun, the greatest influence onthe weather in the British Isles is the Atlantic Ocean's Gulf Steam and the prevelent south westerly winds we get. @feiryfel 4:40 la

Thank you Yan for showing such a beautiful part of china. It is simply mesmerizing. BTW mushrooms should be tried only if you are 💯 percent sure it is eatable. Otherwise amanita phalatoxin is highly fatal. ❤
After being drilled into me so much that you only take what you know, It was a little scary seeing them take so many mushrooms without knowing if they are poisonous or not!

Very good to know, interesting, thanks for the information i can imagine the smell of that mushroom in the video
You mean the ocean current called the Gulf Stream.
@@feiryfella No it is the North Atlantic warm current has been blessing Western Europe
Thanks
Thank you 🥰

Will definitely do some time!!
Hi Yan great video the people seem very friendly and better still trustworthy but if you live with temperatures as low as that you need to be able to rely on one another . The drone footage was fantastic .All the best Alec.

Thank you Yan for showing such a beautiful part of china. It is simply mesmerizing. BTW mushrooms should be tried only if you are 💯 percent sure it is eatable. Otherwise amanita phalatoxin is highly fatal. ❤
So awesome to see areas of the world that i’ve learnt names from at Geography and are able to see images off. It comes alive ❤

19:22 cranberries grow in bogs (water). China grows them at a large facility in Fuyuan, Heilongjiang.

Such a lovely vlog and amazing autumnal vistas 😊🙏💕💕
A warning from an experienced mushroom picker: The assumption that a mushroom is edible because insects or snails eat it is a fatal mistake.
After being drilled into me so much that you only take what you know, It was a little scary seeing them take so many mushrooms without knowing if they are poisonous or not!
@@samuelforward8453 I was horrified watching them, but then I thought, if our dear little Chinese has now posted the video online, she is alive and everything turned out well.
I'm no expert but I know that some mushrooms can be dangerous through touch or even just being near, so that part made me nervous!
@@Moodiac67that's simply not true and complete fear mongering. No mushroom is dangerous to touch, or to be close.
Local Chinese usually develops knowledge what mushroom edible or not in their area. I wouldn't do it in foreign land with new mushroom species.
I always wait for your episodes as they are informative at the same time entertaining. Best wishes and God bless.
视频非常精彩,谢谢!
谢谢你 🥰
