Thank you so much I’ve been waiting on this for a while as you know iain😂 so glad to put these skills to use after quarantine. I already have landed some before but you’ve helped me with some tips I didn’t know, like kicking the leg which actually makes it easier to understand cuz when I learned to spread the legs I would kind of just spread both apart instead of kicking the top one. This will help me so much. Thanks again.
Another thing that helped me is to launch off the lip more vertically because then u don’t have to rotate as much one way before u change your momentum. I don’t know how close u r but that really helped me to start to get them down. Keep practicing and remember to always have fun bru🤙🤙🤙
@@paulandranian5525 good tip mate. And spotting your landing while inverted by looking back over your outside shoulder, helped me ride out of them more often. For ages I was looking straight back like a backflip and wondering why I was always struggling to rotate back into the landing position.
bro, un saludo de antofagasta chile!!! los invert son mi maniobra preferida, junto con 360 aereos, y con estas explicaciones mejor aun!!! gracias bro 🖒🤘
Love your videos man. Been waiting a while for this video. Thank you so much for the insight to a south african grom who just wants to charge. Keep it up Ian. 🤙
thankyou so much Iain. I've been bodyboarding since 1986 & this one trick I could never master. I can't wait to get back in the sea! When we are allowed back in due to the Virus!! And try out you tips. love from Cornwall.
It took me so long to figure out how to bring the board back, but once you get the hang of this move it is so much fun to boost off any section. Since i learned how to do it I've almost stopped doing rolls because of the diversity of this trick. Its just so much fun!!
Great advice about the elbows in on landing mate. I'm 49 and 115kgs and the only air I get is sticking my head out the car window on the way home from a surf.
Thanks bro this is the move I'm trying to stick for a while now. With your tips hopefully I will be able to put them all together and nail it Thank you for your time and dedication to deliver these awesome clips.😀
Thank you Iain great video the kick was a great tip never thought about it like that definitely going to put this to use! I’m visualizing my inverts getting so much better from this!
Thanks again Iain another great tutorial can't wait to put this into practice. We are now on another 3 weeks of lockdown so your videos are really helping to stay stoked and can't wait for the next one. Stay safe and well.
cheers Iain, think I've really gotta work on bracing for impact and landing more safely with these airs, just came in from a surf where i crunched my back pretty badly on one. Any more tips other than having my elbows in to be able to land more softly? should i be doing back stretches before a surf?
Maybe a core activation like a plank, elbows down back straight with your feet down. Basic plant or into a push-up position and hold it. More activating muscles than stretching before surfing.
If that’s how you want to be doing it then that’s sick. Fins are a safer and better option but it all depends on how you want to be doing the things in the water.
@@iaincampbell_ Life guards keep stopping me without fins. The waves were 7-10 ft today, and i lost a fin in the first 5 mins! I don't see the benefit to them but I know i'm not understanding something. Can ya go into fins and why they are so valuble/what fins you enjoy most?
@@Funancialism I mean its pretty simple. With fins you have more power to kick in and less effort to keep you afloat. Not all people know how the ocean works so we kinda have be respectful to the lifeguards trying to do their jobs...
@@iaincampbell_ Appreciate this a ton! caught some epic waves in Playa Del Rey today! 4-7FT right in my range of competence! Really love the videos as I start taking this hobby more seriously! Appreciate the answer. HMU anytime you want to talk about investing/stocks! That's my whole thing :D I see a lot of metaphors can be made between Boogie Boarding + investing!
@@iaincampbell_ Thanks Iain. Typically the ride is only 10-15 seconds long max, but the wave is powerful. Obviously bigger waves break further away from the shore and are more ideal. The main challenge is building enough speed before the wave gets too steep and closes out. Apart from leaning forward, do you have any tips for maximising speed on the shorter rides?
Something Great to watch during quarantine
Can't wait for lockdown to finish so I can try this thanks iain
Me too. Can’t wait to get back in the water and get some waves bru.
Dude, you really do earn those style points! Gotta be one of the best inverters in the history of the sport!!! 👌
Thanks man. I definitely don’t feel the same way but appreciate it my bru.

No problem. Stoked you like it. Thanks for staying tuned and waiting for this one. Took me a while.
Iain Campbell yeah it was probably my favorite one yet. You did a great job!

My favorite aerial, nothing beats inverts when done well like when MR does them.

Good luck Wayne and very interested to hear from you about the move. Hope you get it down. 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Thanks Iain. Great instruction explaining the technique. I never considered the Invert to be a segway into other moves.
For sure. It’s what I did as a grom. Went from rolls to inverts and then onto backflips. It’s a nice change for sure.
Top! It really helps understand how a pro bodyboarder thinks, how he looks at waves. Thanks Iain!

Once the surf rash on my elbows is a bit better, I'll definitely be giving this a go!
Is that really a thing?? 😂😂
would you say that the invert is the next trick to learn after rolls?
That’s Kinda how it went for me. I went into doing them after I had really got my rolls down.
@@iaincampbell_ thanks
Hell yeah! Now I need water and tons of speed to practice but with that comes two weeks of waiting😢
Yeah it’s tough but it’s good for us to do this. A bit of down time will make us so keen to get back into it.
We're all in this together, keep strong and safe bru!
