Back in 2007 when I was a teen, we got one of these on special order at my local guitar shop and I was lucky enough that my guitar teacher took me downstairs to the store room to take a look at it before the owner came to pick it up. It was still in the box and he popped it open so we could check it out in person. Still, such a cool experience to have had as a teenager.
That axe needs to be in Michael’s arsenal! Norm, you know what to do. Michael, you have that EVH swing and feel, which is the most difficult part to develop. A player only gets there with love and practice. Thank you for keeping the flame bright.
Bro, Lemmo! That was fucking wonderful. As a huge Eddie fan myself for moments I just closed my eyes and listened and just got swept away in the moment. What a beautiful sound, you rock brother. What an awesome guitar.
Something I observed. On TH-cam you have a billion great guitar players searching for Eddie’s tone. You nailed it for the 1982 tour live sound. With this guitar and amp. Boxy brown sound, low distortion, high volume (I suspect). Bravo!!!!!!

I don't think I've ever seen anyone other than EVH play Women in Love. Have to admit, it put a lump in my throat. Excellent.
I have never seen any of the guitarists on here get lost playing like Lemmo just did. It reminds me of that kid in his bedroom just playing his heroes riffs out of pure love for the music and the instrument. Get someone to give the man the guitar!! Awesome work Michael Lemmo!

Dude, you scored 9 brown sounds outta 10!! Norm would probably give you that guitar but last I heard they were north of 40 grand. They were like 25 grand when they came out, and King Edward was still alive and reigning. And even in death, he still reigns, forever King.

I am back in 78, 79, 80, 81. Lemmon is spot on. What's amazing in his brain is 3 seconds faster then his hands. Outstanding memory chip, those tones, links are spot on. Wow!

Hats off to Michael Lemmo! I'm a huge Eddie Van Halen fan and always looking for all the videos out there about EVH guitars, amps and sound. There are a lot of really fine examples of EVH imitators. But Michael Lemmo is here so close sounding to the original EVH that it is unbelievable! You would have well-deserved that guitar! Rock on, playing like the devil!

The man had demons but when he was on stage or in our ears none of that mattered. Have a feeling that the Smithsonian honor might have been the most gratifying thing he ever got. Chasing tone was a s big to him as playing was so to be recognized for it must have been huge. Miss you Ed. Thanks for everything because I know you changed my direction in life, that's for sure.

wayback playback Hey, hot and humid as hell here in Oklahoma. Put a chuck roast and some chicken thighs in the offset smoker with some pecan and hickory logs. Piled high some smoked beef, BBQ sauce, couple pickles and two slices of bacon on toasted bread...best sandwich I ever had. Drank beer all day and got some tan and vit d with just shorts on...hope I don't burn...gotta hit the sack...gn
