It's for bath salt. Store it in there and when the bath is ready use the spoon to get the bath salt and put it in the tub. Specially if you make your own bath salt that would be handy.
It strange how things come to us...just out of the blue. Almost as if they were meant to be found by us to enjoy. Kind of like we attract certain things. Loved this.
I had a similar bowl with a scoop like that when I was younger. The container held aromatherapy bath salt, and the spoon was to sprinkle it into a bath.
I can't speak for your other viewers, but I LOVE taking a trip to the thrift shop and looking for interesting things. It's very hit and miss, but it's a fantastic time and when I DO find something, it's amazing what I can find. This video series has a very adventurous vibe to it. There really are endless possibilities. I think that you are fantastic at what you do and I love the creativity you put into it.
I keep coming back to rewatch the video so that I can finish it, because I keep falling asleep half way. Luckily, falling asleep during an ASMR video is incredibily positive.
Love your voice, love that you do a thrifty video, more people should visit thrifyshops they are fun.....and LOVE your bowl with tiny spoon! Could be sugar, spice or even thicker sea salt, very cool I LOVE tiny things too!
It seems to me that the point of watching and following Ally's work is to appreciate creativity, and to get asmr-induced tingles. Does it really matter what form those take? An artist should be--and is--free to produce whatever strikes their fancy. Check your entitled attitude, and enjoy what everyone else is enjoying--calming and pleasant videos by this amazingly talented artist. Frankly, I think everyone's ecstatic to be getting MORE videos by Ally!
I think one of the best things about your videos is - apart from being amazingly relaxing - you're a very kind, nice and likable person. Makes me feel comfortable :)
this video had two of my favorite things small things that are usually bigger and candles XD i loved the scooping bit also . Thank you for making your amazing videos Allie :D
I think you can use it for what ever you want, like if you want to make some sugar scrub and use the spoon instead of sticking your fingers on the jar, it's just my opinion I mean that's what I probably would use it for.☺️☺️
My grandparents had a set of the little dishes. My grandma kept them on the stove with salt in one and pepper in the other. But sugar works fine too :)
Yeah the lawnmower noise in the background is sorta soothing I agree, it kinda reminds me of the subtle rumble of an air conditioner or fan In your room making a buzzing sound that puts you to sleep ^-^
The filter on the lid makes me believe it could serve as a tea filter jar thing, so you could strain and store the bag or leaves in the lid and a dainty jar for one. Then again, the closure looks weak for liquids.
Ah I just love your videos and sense of humor. "Trying to very quietly play with sugar"- lol! Just goes to show you have no idea what people do in private. :)
In Mexico we actually use that kind of stuff to fill them with salt, because the little tiny spoon prevents you from using too much salt in your meals :) but I guess you can use it for whatever you want.
I was hoping you would tap on the top of the sugar dish with the wooden spoon. The spoon seemed to have a nice sound. BTW, I love your video's. Thank you for making them!
My dad used to read a very similar story when I was a kid; I can remember the main phrase was "soup from a stone, fancy that." I can almost hear him say it still :)
Have you measured out the spoon to see if it is equal to 1 teaspoon? The dish seems similar to a tea tin to me, the way it closes tightly like that, to keep loose leaf tea fresh, and then that's just a teaspoon for scooping out the tea. That'd be my best guess at it
liking small things is normal for humans since our babies are miniature versions of people, and we are programed to like our babies (so that we bond with them, so that we care for them since they are helpless for a long time.)
Ha, when you first mentioned stone soup, I thought it was a story that I'd heard before called Bone Soup, which was a kids story all Halloween themed, and it's the same. Cool story and great video :)
As others have mentioned, it is most likely a "salt pig." I've never seen one covered, but the much of our world doesn't use shakers... The use tilted bowls with tiny wooden spoons. Think it's Scandinavian/Russia. I'm actually looking for one!
You make great videos. :) As someone who gets nothing from tapping/textures, may I please ASMRrequest a personal attention/soft/close talking video? Thanks!
I think that little spice jar would be perfect for a really high quality sea salt or something similar. At least, that's what I'd most often use it for.
I completely agree! They just need to settle down she said she's working on it and I'm sure it's taking long because she wants it to be a great experience.
A beautiful girl, a large bed, a lot of time... And I'm falling asleep ?! What did you do to me ? ^^ More seriously, the sound quality is just perfect ! Thanks a lot to you (and your boyfriend !) for giving us some of your time to help us sleep well, I'm sure most of people here feel the same. Send them some kisses guys, they deserve it !
"son's t-shirts"? you look so young!! I mean, there's no minimum age or anything, but I didn't know and I've been watching your videos for some time now...congratulations, non the less.
I'm pretty sure the little box with the spoon was for I don't know if you know what I'm talking about but like bath salt because my mom have a pot and she have a little spoon and it is for bath salt so I don't know if this was that or something else but I guess it was that
I think, maybe it's actually for sugar... Because the spoon has the size of a teaspoon, like you are supposed to dose your sugar for your tea with that tiny thing ? :) Great video !

Sometimes when times get hard, i watch old asmr videos that remind me when i used to go to sleep at night without a care in the world.
It strange how things come to us...just out of the blue. Almost as if they were meant to be found by us to enjoy. Kind of like we attract certain things. Loved this.

You always find the coolest things at your thrift store!
I thought that little white, unassuming jar made the most amazing noises!

Stone Soup! My first grade teacher read that story to the class and we all loved it! :-D I'd forgotten about it 'til now.
This video is addictive. Love it. It´s simply my sort of ASMR.
Love your voice, love that you do a thrifty video, more people should visit thrifyshops they are fun.....and LOVE your bowl with tiny spoon! Could be sugar, spice or even thicker sea salt, very cool
I LOVE tiny things too!
Scooping and stirring videos are my favorite! You should make one that is only that the whole way through!
It seems to me that the point of watching and following Ally's work is to appreciate creativity, and to get asmr-induced tingles. Does it really matter what form those take? Tapping is a sound that triggers a lot of individuals. Easily the most convenient trigger to induce, so I guess it's a win-win.
You are amazing. Spoiled me for any other ASMR.
Surprisingly relaxing. That sugar spooning put me on the floor.
My grandparents had a set of the little dishes. My grandma kept them on the stove with salt in one and pepper in the other. But sugar works fine too :)
The mowers noise in the background were kind of soothing. Like a binural sound
the sound of the landscapers is actually really relaxing
Great finds Ally! Essential oils are great (and healing too!) Love the "Stone Soup!"
Yeah the lawnmower noise in the background is sorta soothing I agree, it kinda reminds me of the subtle rumble of an air conditioner or fan In your room making a buzzing sound that puts you to sleep ^-^
Ceramic jars like that can also be used for things such as bath beads or salts; along with kitchen uses like coffee, tea and yes, sugar as well :)
You have the most soothing voice I have ever heard. Thank you!
you mentioned that you have a son in this video. he probably gets the BEST bed time stories ever!!! hes a very lucky guy! Love your videos!
I found it worth my time to watch this stress reducing video. Thanks.
You are literally the greatest.
10 yrs later and still amazing 💛💛
gurl what kind of thrift store do you have!?!!?!? everything at mine is way above $5. lmaooo
some thrift stores have a system where you get a discount on everything if you donate :)
The filter on the lid makes me believe it could serve as a tea filter jar thing, so you could strain and store the bag or leaves in the lid and a dainty jar for one. Then again, the closure looks weak for liquids.
I love stone soup!!! I have the book on my shelf right now!!
YOUR STORY TELLING HAD ME OUT LIKE A LIGHT SOOO GOOD
Hello ASMR Ally! Thank you for being consistently awesome!!
Ah I just love your videos and sense of humor. "Trying to very quietly play with sugar"- lol! Just goes to show you have no idea what people do in private. :)
hey, so that "sugar jar" is actually a spice jar, but close enough :) i just had to look it up, it was too adorable! love your videos! keep it up!
I was asleep almost instantly watching this!!!! Thanks so much!!!
Lovely items beautiful video as always and lots of tingles :) xxxx
I think the white bowl was originally used for matcha. Matcha is sort of like really high quality instant green tea used in the Japanese tea ceremony.
In Mexico we actually use that kind of stuff to fill them with salt, because the little tiny spoon prevents you from using too much salt in your meals :) but I guess you can use it for whatever you want.
Everyone in Mexico or your family, I'm just curious
+Foxluna what are talking about doesn't make any sense
I can just imagine you saying to your guests, "No, if you want sugar from that jar you have to use the tiny spoon." I love tiny objects :)
She has mentioned she is working on departure 2 give it a rest. Loved the video and keep it coming!
Aw man, best girlfriend ever >_< My bf whispers to me in real life sometimes :) I really love all your up close videos
I was hoping you would tap on the top of the sugar dish with the wooden spoon. The spoon seemed to have a nice sound. BTW, I love your video's. Thank you for making them!
We need more thrifty Thursdays
My dad used to read a very similar story when I was a kid; I can remember the main phrase was "soup from a stone, fancy that." I can almost hear him say it still :)
Perfect timing for sleep :-) (11pm right here)
9:25 that humming sound in the background is a good trigger for me lol
Why is this so calming n relaxing to me.?
I think all the guys will agree with me on this; her boyfriend is one lucky SOB.
I used to have a dish like that which held lavender bath salts. :-)
Love love love this:) I would use the little container and scoop in my shower. I would make my own raw sugar scrub and use it to exfoliate!
I love this. Thanks so much. You have your own style. I dig it.
I don't understand how you always manage to find such great stuff at thrift stores...
Have you measured out the spoon to see if it is equal to 1 teaspoon? The dish seems similar to a tea tin to me, the way it closes tightly like that, to keep loose leaf tea fresh, and then that's just a teaspoon for scooping out the tea. That'd be my best guess at it
If I could sum up how good your videos are is that I have yet to see how any of your videos end!
It might be odd to say, but I really like the rug/lights combo.
fridays the new thursday... yay! ... lovin these vids.
Awesome thrift store find! I am jealous :)
liking small things is normal for humans since our babies are miniature versions of people, and we are programed to like our babies (so that we bond with them, so that we care for them since they are helpless for a long time.)
That was a great little story. You are amazing. :)
Sugar in the bathroom? I hope you don't get ants. Loved this episode of thrifty Thursday!
I love teeny-tiny things, too! My boyfriend has realized that the general rule is if it's small, it's cute, and if it's cute, I love it :)
Another wonderful video!!! Thank you for all your effort :)
Alley it's for mustard! Great video as usual, thanks ;)
I miss these types of videos, now she hardly ever updates
just in case you didn't see the new video; her brother passed away and she needs time to mourn.
i seen it, and if you look at the date i made this comment you would see that we had no way of knowing this.
you saw* it. sorry to be that person but f u c k..."i seen it" is horrendous
Brooke Marie If you are sorry to be that person, maybe try saying it in a kindly way and not judging?
Ha, when you first mentioned stone soup, I thought it was a story that I'd heard before called Bone Soup, which was a kids story all Halloween themed, and it's the same. Cool story and great video :)
Yeah, I'm not sure what that's for!
I love her voice. So soothing
It was your inner brit that chose the sugar jar my dear :) very useful for making cups of tea or coffee. Jolly good video by the way, do make more.
As others have mentioned, it is most likely a "salt pig." I've never seen one covered, but the much of our world doesn't use shakers... The use tilted bowls with tiny wooden spoons. Think it's Scandinavian/Russia.
I'm actually looking for one!
You make great videos. :)
As someone who gets nothing from tapping/textures, may I please ASMRrequest a personal attention/soft/close talking video?
Thanks!
Incredible as always, thank you! ❤❤❤
I think that little spice jar would be perfect for a really high quality sea salt or something similar. At least, that's what I'd most often use it for.
I really loved this vid and also love minature things too! :O) Nice n' tingly for sure!
Some people are so rude... You make great videos! Dont let others get to you
I completely agree! They just need to settle down she said she's working on it and I'm sure it's taking long because she wants it to be a great experience.
A beautiful girl, a large bed, a lot of time... And I'm falling asleep ?! What did you do to me ? ^^ More seriously, the sound quality is just perfect ! That "sugar bowl" thing, it looks like you can perhaps put something in the lid portion? Intriguing!
It could be for little sugar cubes lol great video!
My aunt has almost the exact same glass bowl and it is used for sugar at least in her home
I like the asmr ocd with the
Rocks placement
"son's t-shirts"? you look so young!! I mean, there's no minimum age or anything, but I didn't know and I've been watching your videos for some time now...congratulations, non the less.
I feel like the little jar and spoon are for spices like fennel or something.
You are so pretty, love your hair and makeup, but most of all your gentle manner and tingliness, lol! :O)
I really like this series =)
The second use for that item is making my brain melt
I'm pretty sure the little box with the spoon was for I don't know if you know what I'm talking about but like bath salt because my mom have a pot and she have a little spoon and it is for bath salt so I don't know if this was that or something else but I guess it was that
I think you bought a salt pig!! New subscriber here too! Love how original your channel is x
looks like a more modern pestle and mordor... its something to crush herbs up in and powders to make "potions" or home made remedies :)
I love thrifty Thursday
they look like bath salt dishes cause i have one of them with the little spoon/scoop i filled my dish with lavender bath salts
Love thrift stores, u can pick up the randomest n awesomest items there
I think, maybe it's actually for sugar... Because the spoon has the size of a teaspoon, like you are supposed to dose your sugar for your tea with that tiny thing ? :) Great video !
It is a sugar thingy but it could also be like a serving condiment holder too
Kara. It's a tea leaf dish. The spoon is for measuring the amount of tea leaves. Thumbs so she can see.
07:06 Thrifty Thursday... 99 cents... MACKLEMORE, IS THAT YOU!?
Love the videos!!! Tingles :)
I love your little mini scoop! I love mini things, too. Do you love the tiny little kids shoes at the mall? I like your hair like that.
