What a great song, great band, love this all around!! Anika is a terrific drummer, so much technique and feel. That groove is not easy to pull off perfectly, but she does!! But...that little bit of polite applause is all they get?! C'MON!
Wonderful complex drumming, style and rhythm changes at a superb level and four musicians that give you the feeling that it is so easy that they could tell you some jokes in between and still having fun playing. Simply phenomenal!

Many years ago I made several attempts to listen to jazz with with a more systemized approach. I started with Dave Weckl and literally ended there. I am not a fan of jazz and I really doubt whether I will ever be. As for rock-jazz fusion whether by Dave Weckl Band or here, with Anika Nilles, I just think we have a fine balance of a solid rock beat and a freestyle jazz explosion technique giving enough energy to not to fall asleep and explore the space in an elaborate way, just like in jazz.
