As a drummer, I am completely floored by her drumming. She has some serious chops! The entire band is amazing.

When the musicians are smiling at each other, it's either because someone made a mistake and they're laughing about it, or the vibes are incredible. I'd say this is the latter.
Anika's ability to phase in and out of time signatures is in my opinion the most impressive and important musicianship in the last decade. Totally controlled

the most impressive part to me is the metric modulation in Mister where Anika shifts from a straight 5/4 bar into 4/4 where all the notes are played in 5/4 instead

I don't even know what was happening to me on Mister. The tears just started running down my face... from the START!!! The music just HIT me. When that happens it means the music is being felt way down deep in my spirit. That was WONDERFUL!!!!

I name her - The Portal Queen. How magically she walks in time. She just enters the portal of any time signature and leaves u in some other realm. And that Realm is like a Blink of an eye but leaves a memorable impact in her songs She is a real Time traveler in my opinion.

Eine wunderbare Aufnahme mit richtig guten Musikern, die hier eine wirkliche Einheit bilden. Anika spielt dabei die schwierigsten Parts, als wenn es eine Frühstücksübung wäre. Einfach brilliant. Alle anderen Mitspieler sind ebenso auf einem so hohen Niveau, das es wirklich eine Freude ist, das anzusehen und vor allem anzuhören. Der Sound der SSL 4000G Konsole und der einmalige Sound der Studer Bandmaschinen sind in meinen Augen immer noch jeder digitalen Synthese überlegen, vor allem mit so einem Team und Ing, Der /die wissen was sie tun. Einfach großartig. Danke

I could’ve watch that all day long. Great performance by all the musicians incredible! As a guitar player when I watch great musicianship performances, I tend to watch the drummers more than I do the guitar players.. haha I can kind of get an idea of what the guitar player is doing.. the drums is one of my favorite instruments. Anika, it’s so beautiful , she controls every note that she hits and everything is counted out.. she’s been doing it for so long. She does it without even thinking, all of those tempos, ghost notes, still ends of right on time, to the next break or change .. love it. amazing! please come to Washington state. Love you. One of my favorite drummers.. ❤PD

It's no mystery on how Anika landed the job with Jeff Beck before he passed. Jeff always had the best of the best musicians in his bands, and an insane list of incredible drummers that played with him over the years. To be included on that list is a huge accomplishment. She's amazing!
While I am not a massive fan of the musical style, as a musician myself, I absolutely respect, admire, and in fact, am in awe, of the sheer talent on display.
Incredible musicianship between all of the musicians, fabulous dynamics, phrasing, and yes, the drummer is particularly amazing (as well as being hot).

I can't even begin to explain how Have You was just as powerful (but not as emotionally moving) as Mister. Mister somehow just moved me to tears. Why Have You didn't manage to do that is a mystery. I'm very excited to listen to/watch what the rest of this session has to offer.

Hi mate! I originally come from the rock/metal genres. And the first time I head her drums, I was like ... uwwww.... you know, not EQ'd and compressed and processed to death.
Anyway, with my electronic drums and the very nice drum samples of Toontrack I got to know real drum sound. And her drums sound great.

I mean as a hobby musician you will not hear a drum set in a studio through a 4000€ Neumann mic mixed by a great engineer!

Oh my goodness! The talent this band has to change time during songs in unison is incredible. And the drum work is top notch. Very unique and a great display of dexterity and skill.

What a way to "rock out" on a session the way y'all did with Mallay!!!! I tend to be REALLY big on emotional expression. Expecially in the music arena.
