I've not heard it anywhere else and anyway, I love jazz. Oh, and anyone who has a problem with chicken and pasta together can keep it to themselves. 🤣 The only thing better than Fettuccini Alfredo (although I find linguini easier to eat) is when you drop a nicely grilled and sliced chicken breast on top of it.

I mean I like it cooked well, but when I go out, it’s always a risk ordering chicken from a restaurant. You want dry and rough or undercooked, rubbery fat?
I have a hard time with chicken breast. It has to be cooked right so that it isn't overdone, yet not under-cooked (for someone like me who doesn't normally like to cook, hitting that right spot is difficult).
It's a marriage made in heaven for my taste buds lol and so fast and easy to cook.
@@jason9983 Oh yes my friend, thigh meat is my favorite! It's what I would always use if I was the one cooking, to my husband's chagrin. He's not a fan of dark meat, "it's so GREY!" 😄
Chicken and pasta is not a strong combination like cheese and other stuff. It’s still good and worthy to have once in a while for a change of pace.

This guy is the REAL DEAL!! For the longest time I've been looking for a cooking channel that I can stay with, and stop searching around . It's not just the amazing dishes that he cooks! NO, its how he relates to the Italian viewer. His foods are absolute perfection, and authentic. I wish he would do a cookbook soon! Another fairly simple dish, that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to make...and it's a 10!!! There hasn't been a dish that I've watched you cook, that I wouldn't enthusiastically enjoy and hope for seconds. Thanks so much for another winner. Although it’s pricy, I always go to Whole Foods when I make these pasta dishes, having the organic handmade pasta does make a difference in such simple dishes, and cause the other ingredients are just so few and so cheap I don’t feel bad spending $6.99 on pasta. Plus the chicken adds so much protein, I’ve always got a few lunches worth of leftovers even if I’m just cooking for 2
I made this one, and it was a game changer! I know that I have mentioned that I spent many years working in food service. As a result, I still tend to prep enough to fill a restaurant full of people. Because it's just the two of us at home now, this translates to a LOT of leftovers. That's a problem for my fiancé; he seldom wants to clean up leftovers! He ate every single scrap of this that I cooked, and asked when I would be making it again. No compliment to the cook like an empty plate! 😊

What, why would anyone have an issue about having chicken with pasta?!! Chicken and/or shrimp are our go to proteins for pasta dishes. We serve chicken cacciatore over penne...yes, we live on the wild side - lol! Have a great weekend!

I made this dish tonight. I didn't think it had enough lemon taste to it, so I added the juice of half a lemon and it turned out perfect for my taste. I never had anything like this before. Your kid sold me on it. Delicious.

I've got a ton of food allergies, but your channel really helps me break out of my cooking slumps. Your recipes are always super tasty but usually require a small amount of whole, unprocessed ingredients that don't break the bank. I usually sub in some wheat free pasta and I get some seriously tasty dinners that I normally wouldn't put together on my own. I really appreciate it!

I love chicken and lemon so this one’s a winner for me! It was 1982 and l was newly married, l decided to make my new hubby his Mom’s Lemon Chicken... I thought, it l tripled the amount of lemon it would taste even better. My sweet darling husband’s lips were puckering but, he smiled and ate every bite! I miss him dearly, if you have pain PLEASE don’t ignore it and always get a second opinion... Pancreatic Cancer is often misdiagnosed initially as a “Gallbladder” disorder! When he was finally diagnosed correctly, he died eleven weeks later at the age of 56!

I discovered your channel a few months ago and have tried a number of your recipes and have found them absolutely delicious without fail. Love the way you teach about Italian cooking at home. I emphasize at home because it is so different than what Italian restaurants do with the over abundance of “Italian herbs”. A number of years ago (more than I care to admit) I had vacationed a bit in Italy (Venice, Rome, and Milan). I asked one restaurant owner why the Italian cooking in the US was so different. His answer was, and by the way the point of my rant, in Italy the cooking is to let the pasta speak for the dish. Just my personal opinion, but that is what I find that you do. You let the pasta speak for the dish and do a great job of explaining why certain pastas are used and when.
Great channel and such a blessing for an amateur cook like me who just loves to just make great food for his own family!

I like to cook a lot and through my years I have followed TH-camrs recipes and videos to learn and pick up skills to improve in the kitchen but I what I can really appreciate to your way is the simplicity and flexibility of your recipes. You are always praising about using what’s available to you; you aren’t ultra strict in your recipes,you emphasize that it still going to come out good. Also you aren’t using this ultra fancy and expensive tools some you tubers use for cooking and your style: so humble!! Great job my man but also bringing in your kid in most of your episodes, takes you to a different level, more personal and brings warmth to every episode; sets you apart from the rest! Keep doing what you do and great job. Hats off!

Such an in-depth and informal video. This entire technique is brilliant. The way he heats the pan prior to adding oil to get a perfect sear, the way he saves time by patting the other side of the chicken while its in the pan, he doesn't make the sauce in the same used pan of the seared chicken to maintain the lemon and cheese flavor, he even makes sure to stir the egg yolk in a way that doesn't scramble the egg. Amazing video👍

I admit to staying away from that kind of monumental pasta shape but this video and the magical 10 rating bestowed by James means that everything about this dish is good to go. I was going to try it with a ziti because the rest of the dish is so scrumptious looking. Another winner.

Made this with deboned and skinned chicken thighs. Went 3:30 on each side and used large shells. My wife was surprised how good it was!
