I'm having this exact issue with my Honda 2200 suitcase generator. I took it to the dealership to see if they would fix it under warranty but I'm glad to see that I was correct in suspecting the carb was just dirty. If they will not do it under warranty then I will just clean it out myself.

my mower won't start. I did everything to it.i am about to soak it in awesome brand cleaner and rinse it with the hose.fed up with this thing. if it doesn't work when it drops, it will become scrap metal.I am an older female and none of my male neighbors are real men so they can't help. I like these videos because it gives me hope that there are still real men out there that know how to fix things. too bad there's none near me in northern NJ.

From my limited experience with Tecumseh engines (I welded an 8 horse snowblower engine to a bike when I was 14) they are good motors but the needle and seat seem to get misaligned with a lot of vibration. I highly doubt this will give you a problem too often, since you're probably gonna jump the leaf vac or run it at 40mph down a gravel road, but if it does keep happening, it might be worth it to look into converting it to a different type of carb.
I gotta get me one of those. I also hate doing leaves.

Do you know what could cause a new pressure washer to crank and spit fuel but not start? Spark plug looks good and the thing isn't even a year old! Only used it 3 times so It's weird considering we ran it the third time a few months ago.. It's even got fresh oil in it still.
Are you sure the fuel is good and hasn’t turned to water? I strong suggest you remove the carb and make sure it is clean as a whistle and flowing fresh gas
Had no spark on my mtd yard machine riding mower. New plug, new coil and now it will only fire a few times trying to run then dies. Plug gets wet with fuel, maybe even oil not sure.
my mower doing the same.I think it's a gasket problem.
