I feel like for the last half of the song, they dropped the humor and it became a straight up tribute to the era. There was a lot of excess in the 80's so some of that stuff is just naturally funny today, but it's still true. Like guys wearing more lipstick than girls and no one gave a crap lol. But It honors that time so well. I grew up with that music and it honestly hit deeper than any 'comedy' song had any right to... That's how good these guys are. 🤘

If you ever have the chance to go to a live show, you should! It’s so much fun!
I’ve been a fan for over 16 years and I used to often work in LA, and always when I was there they were gigging in my home country The Netherland or Belgium or Close to the border in Germany.
I hadn’t seen them live since 2019! I came of a TV production and I looked if they’d played the night before I left. And sure enough at the Whiskey… and… sold out. So I drove to Norm’a Vintage guitars in Ventura, I bough a nice US Charvel (not vintage). And I spoke to someone there and since Russ (Satchel) plays Charvel now the subject soon landed on Steel Panther. And they asked if I was going. I told him that I tried that morning but it was sold out. His buddy had bought several tickets but one of their group may not be able to come, so there was a ticket left. He called his buddy and indeed he couldn’t make it. So he rang his other buddy either the tickets and arrange for me to buy it from him in Santa Monica. Felt a bit weird and shady but I was like for 75 bucks, I’m gonna take chance. Sure enough he mailed me the eticket showed me he deleted them from his phone. And it was perfectly valid and it was awesome! Then in 2020 4 weeks before lock down they played in my home town of Utrecht and that was even cooler! (More chicks flashing their boobies 😂 and young teens throwing a moshpit). Was awesome! I can’t wait for them to come again.
