Probably the best how to video I've seen in a while especially for rebel owners I've always had trouble finding how to videos relating to what I'm actually working on simple easy process I appreciate the video
This is very helpful! I got a little intimidated when I looked at my rear wheel, since I'm a new rider I didn't know how to fix my rear tire when it got a flat. This helps me alot thank you!
Well done for helping everyone with first time take-off.👍🏻 By the way my brother ran mid 14s in the 1/4 mile fastest time and has taken it down the track numerous of times and put thousands of miles on it . Great bike. Lee Schultz Racing.
Awesome! NOW...I KNOW I can replace my chain and NOT have to deal with a stupid disconnecting rivets and replacing/reconnecting them to make the chain whole. I can , I think, just buy a new chain when it's time and install it this way and know there won't be any problems with the chain. Cheers Arches.
What about the rear wheel alignment? Is that not affected when taking the wheel off? Last thing you want when riding a bike is for your rear wheel to be misaligned.
Awesome video ! Is it just me or is the chain adjustment system a bit imprecise? I adjust the chain to the proper spec then after I tighten up the the rear wheel bolt and the nuts on the adjustment screws the chain will be either too tensed or too loose so I have to fiddle with it a bit until I get the proper adjustment .
I love the videos! I actually worked as a mechanic for a while before going back to school, but something about your content is enjoyable even when I already know how to do the job. Please keep the videos coming! Yesterday your channel name stopped appearing as Arches Mechanic and started appearing as what I assume is your first and last name. I wasn't sure that this change was intentional, and I only noticed as I was trying to share a video with a friend who asked me a question about his bike. I just thought I would let you know in case the change was unintentional. Anyways, keep the great content coming!
Jordan Breitling thanks for the support. I did change the name. I didn’t realize it would come over like that. Not intentional but thanks for letting me know!
@@ArchesMechanic Just wanted to make sure, sometimes youtube does weird things. I'm glad that this was intentional and not some accidental doxing by youtube ha
Anh you can but you run the risk of the wheel falling off from the nut coming loose. If you can get a friend that has one or go buy one from a part store for $20. That is your best bet.

Err where was the torque wrench on the axle nut final tighten?.
Thanks for the video. Just did this for the first time. You made it quick and simple. Appreciate it
I was waiting for that caliper to go flying. 😂 Good way to wreck it Ralph.

just saved me 230$ thanks

Motoryzen thanks for watching!
Thank you! I love your channel. Pls keep going with your Honda Rebel videos. They are very helpful.

That’s what the lines on the swing arm are for. I made sure they’re as close as possible.
@@ArchesMechanic fair point well made there sir! 😂
This video was helpful. It was clear and concise and you explained everything well. Thanks!

Mr.Plow agreed. Mine keep getting loose too
Are you putting a rag on the on the sprocket as you torque the axle to spec? I have to do this on my grom otherwise it will loosen up a bit
Jon I mean the rear bolt just comes out as I ride. Everything stays good otherwise
Thank you so much for this, bro!

My axle nut on my Rebel is stuck on pretty tight. Do you have any advice?
use more pressure. mine was on VERY tight
I want to ask the size of your rear tire
thanks again! you are so important to my customizing of my cmx 300
Great video...how did you get the brake assembly back into place?
I’m not sure what you mean. If you activate the brake with the wheel off you’ll have to get a brake caliper tool to open the pads up.
How do you have the bike lifted off the ground?
A set of bike stands. You can order them online.
Yo does the rear fender need to be removed first?
Nope.
Thanks dude! Also my axel nut is tight as shit, any recommendations?
Can rebel 500 feet a 180/70-16 tire?
Mine was a 190/50zr17
Thank you!! Good stuff again
you messed up your license plate as you took the rear wheel off! I want this bike so badly. looks like a very easy low maintenance type bike!
Jon it’s very low maintenance. I am just posting these videos for people in the future. Not too much to repair/replace now but maybe in a few years
What kind of rear tire stand do you have? Im worried about buying the wrong stand and having to weight even longer to get a stand.

Hi, I'd like to know the size of the rear wheel you're using. It's amazing!
Mike Dong stock size. 150/80 16
@@ArchesMechanic oh wow, tbh I thought it was a 180 or something. anyway, white wall tire is probably the best choice for this baby
does it need to be the exact torque on the service manual when reinstallation?
Anh as close as possible
Can I do it without a torque wrench?
Anh you can but you run the risk of the wheel falling off from the nut coming loose. If you can get a friend that has one or go buy one from a part store for $20. That is your best bet.
Arches Mechanic thanks a lot ! I’m changing my tire rn and have no clue what to do .
@@ArchesMechanic hey quick question, why my axle nut is really tight
make a video on installing a dios design rear cow tail fender. please?
S-Trooper can you link me the dios fender? I can’t find it

Great video man. What tyre size is that for the rear on the Rebel? I'm about to buy my first bike! A Rebel 500 :D Thanks
It was the stock tire size. Sorry I don’t know what it is off hand
What motorcycle stand is that? Great video, thanks!

Arches Mechanic Just ordered, thank you!
Isaiah Zietzke I did have to make some slight modifications to mine because of the swing arm but it works
Arches Mechanic I have an aftermarket exhaust that leaves my swing arm pretty open. We’ll see.
Isaiah Zietzke hope it all works out.
thank you
Thank you
