It's interesting to me when they come out with a new procedure to here how bad the old procedure was , it's like you don't know how bad it was until the new thing comes out .😢😮 This seems so much better than the way they used to do it ! 👏

This is absolutely revolutionary for all the reasons that Dr. Cantor says you don’t have to destroy structures to get at the problem the stenosis or watt arthritis whatever the problem is you can make tiny incisions and with the ultrasonic tool or scalpel it’s a true game changer. I know it’s not easy to do but it is done and that’s what I would insist not also he mentions the MRI MRIs are OK but at the fused MRI really tells you where the problem is if you have spinal problems at all.

Does the bone removed grow back and/or do you replace the lamina bone removed with cadaver bone to regrow/reknit the removed bone structure ? Just wondering what happens to reduced vertebrae/lamina as structural support ?

Can this method be used for severe central spinal canal stenosis - to remove posterior osteophytes of the vertebral body?

I have cervical spine stenosis and severe OPLL. My doctor said ultrasonic Laminoplasty would hurt the ossified ligament.

This procedure seems to be a more sensible approach. The idea of removing an anatomical part of the body that has a purpose for it's design, and then to try to think that the person can live without that part of his anatomy; is stupid in my opinion. Yes, I believe that proper nutrition can assist bones and eventually cause the body's enzymes to "eat away" a portion of the spur, or osteophyte. But I believe that takes a long time. I'm considering this option if my non-surgical decompression treatments don't completely alleviate my pain. I have several herniations or bulges of disc with I believe some spurs growing off my vertebral bodies that are also irritating the nerve roots to my leg. Need to revisit my MRI's with a spine surgeon or neurologist and see if the ultrasonic drill would be the solution. Thanks for posting this well illustrated 3D video!

Hard to see the center of the images with the closed caption covering the screen, I turned off my closed caption and there is another one inside the video that wont shut off, blocking view of the videos focus points.

Wow that's incredible wish my last three lumbar fusions with rods and screws was done THAT WAY. I need two more fusions one lumbar and one cervical I lived in Ppalm Beach Gardens since 1984 but moved to south east Georgia a few years ago other wise I'd be coming to you. I have to discuss this technique with my Doctor at Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Brunswick Georgia. Is it done Interior or posterior ?
