- Co-dominance-
It is the phenomenon of two contrasting alleles of same gene lacking dominant recessive relationship and expressing their effect simultaneously in heterozygote.
Examples-
a) MN blood group
b) Sickle cell anaemia
c) AB blood group system
Multiple alleles-
These are multiple alternatives for alleles of the same gene which occur in the population of same species. All of them are found on the same gene locus on the same chromosome or its homologue.
however a chromosome has only one allele and diploid individual only two alleles.
Examples-
a) Eye colour in Drosophila
b) Coat colour in rabbits
c) ABO blood group system
