    Hi John! I'm thinking to buy one soon with a great deal, I like the idea to have a convection oven and air fryer at the same time. After 1 year and all your practice and experience, is a good choice? Did you still recommended?

    Bee~you~tee~fully done kind sir! Thanks so much for such a delightful review & tutorial~ you cooked that steak to the exact place we like them, medium to medium well, & your bread trick is fantastic =) We will be enjoying the same real soon here, although it will be w/my homemade no-carb bread, that way it's a healthy treat for us along w/the delicious beef. Your time & efforts are greatly appreciated as we've been shopping for a new air fryer/oven that will primarily be used for cooking steak, a few burgers, & lots of bacon & crispy pork belly~yum! We tried out the Ninja Foodi Grill model, but are not happy with it for the cleaning aspects, as well as the bulky, tippy/top heavy design. Cast iron is our favorite way to cook also~ Thanks again, the Whitson's in AZ

    Great video! I just bought my Ninja last night and already checked and my cast iron skillets fit! I saw a show and the way that the chef's suggested to cook a steak is to only flip it once. When I use my cast iron pan, preheat it like you did, put a steak in for 7 min on one side, then flip and the 2nd side I don't cook as long. It comes out really excellent.

    Next steak idea. Reverse sear in an air fryer. I know you don't do a lot with the Vortex but consider this. I have done this BTW. Air fry at 225 until internal temp is 125 ish. Move to the broiler 2 minutes on each side. I don't think I have a cast iron pan that will fit the the Vortex. Love my cast iron! Fun video, thanks for sharing the ideas.

    • @JohnSanders
      @JohnSanders  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a bad idea...the vortex is a good device and has a very small footprint and that is a good thing for almost everyone and air frying steak has been my go to for the last few weeks because of simplicity and flavor...thanks for watching!
