That, combined with its more mechanical appearence could mean that the one is Hiveswap is a "natural" cherub portal while this is an "artificial" one, so to say. Just spitballing really, we just have the appearence to go off of for now. Aside from that, cool chapter. Not really anything big to say since it was a pretty short one. Vriska is being Vriska, Sollux is being Sollux. Characters being themselves is always a good sign. The Point looks really cool aesthetically. That's about it really. Keep up the good work HSBC team.

the spirals on the plot point look like they might be the color of the aspect for space and void the equivalent to meat and candy with there existence in and out of cannon
The colors on the cherub portal seem to correspond to Roxy and Calliope's aspects (Void and Space respectively). I'm thinking they're invoking space to create a portal, and invoking void to specifically give the portal the ability to cross out of the black hole.
