@@JakeMillerWirehair its the other way around, Chino Moreno hates "Back To School", as Back To School wasnt a part of the Whitepony album originally, the label thought the album needed one very marketable track as none of the songs were really builded to be radio hits, Chino Moreno was very anoyed by this and decided to take "Pink Maggit" the longest and most atmospheric track of all, speed up the tempo and add rap just to show how easy it was to make a radio hit song, the label loved it, and so Back To School was born

I found this album all scratched up on the floor when I was middle school. Didn't think it would work but my cd player came through, oh my god I was shocked. This song blew me away, the entire album was a game changer for me. I was 13 and now I'm 33, still a big fan and still spin this album daily. Timeless album, Deftones really were ahead of their time.

I was 15 when I first heard white pony, my girlfriend introduced me to deftones. We ended up having this song play at our wedding. 22 years later and I listen to this song with my daughter and wife all the time. Deftones lover for life ❤️🔥
That is awesome! Deftones forever! There are not many bands out there that still deliver beautiful music like the Deftones and they are in a class all their own.

I always felt like the intro of this Song was kinda of a precursor to what later became "Rosemary"
If you like this intro you might like Sunglasses by BCNR, it's a completely different genre but has a similar intro
Listened to this song while on a plane, the beat dropped just as the plan sped way up and shot down the runway take off. 11/10 experience, would highly recommend.

I traveled from Texas to Pasadena ca to see these guys with the cure and the pixies. I'm 46. Took my 22 year old daughter. Two generations and the experience of a lifetime for both of us. One of the best bands ever!! Thanks Deftones!!

Hey I was there too. Show was on my 39th birthday. Travelled from NJ and was 50 feet from main stage, dead center for those last 3 performances. Needed to use the bathroom badly but didn’t want to risk losing my spot. So many people crushed into that space that I could barely move for about 5 or 6 hours. Back was killing me, could barely walk the next day but a night I’ll never forget and totally worth it. I still watch the videos I recorded on my phone and iPad from time to time

Been listening to this album since it came out and just learned today that "pushed back the square" is a turn of phrase meaning to have smoked a cigarette.

My favorite Deftones song. It sounds so nostalgic and I could see it in a movie. I could see someone running at the very end of the movie, trying to reach their significant other before it's too late.
This one of the only songs that takes over 2 minutes to officially start that I still wait patiently for each and every time without fast forwarding it! 😎

I have listened to this song through some of the most depressing times of my life. I cant decide if it is cleansing or self sabotage but I love it either way.
I think this song is deftones best single piece of work in their entire catalogue. It's such a fearless piece of art, it actually astounds me. Absolute shame it was bastardised into mini maggit.

Hardly bastardised, if anything, the dichotomy of this original version and back to school bookends the record from back to front really nicely (if you listen to the version that opens with BTS instead of Feiticeira of course).

This is one of those songs that send me back into peak highschool years when youre at the cusp of when the world starts to wear on you and you felt everything to an extreme. Deftones was with me in the darkest of times and on the flip side, the brightest.
Here I am, spat out 20 years later. Returning home for some of those bittersweet feelings.

This album reminds me of my high school days and of this guy I used to know. We made out to this whole album and he made me feel so beautiful when I really didn't like myself. He was always nice to me even though I wasn't always to him. I recently found out he passed away via suicide. I never got to tell him that I thought he was a good dude, a good person. RIP E.W.W.💫

Bought this album when I was 13. I listened to it nonstop while reading and going to and from school. Probably even listened in school. Amazing album that has stood the test of time.
Just tears 😢 There is no voice on the planet like Chinos, no sound like the Deftones. Simply the best band to ever create music.

My all time favorite Deftones song.
I used to never play this song when listening to white pony, I just didn’t. When I listened to it for the first time it made me realize that it’s one of their best song without a doubt, in fact it has everything you want in a Deftones song and the build up is perfect and without a doubt a very good album closer, also you can hear a heartbeat at the very end, reminds me of ending of The dark side of the moon. It’s just a great band and I’m very glad I found them.
This song is like a sonic movie, but longer, you get years of emotion served in 7 and a half minutes. One word - Masterpiece

i find so much peace with this song. i absolutely love the screetching in the beginning, i dont know why, everytime i hear it, its just music to my ears.
One of the most important artistic experiences of my teenage years, that's for sure.
This song was blasting in my car before I got a speeding ticket. The peak of the song is pure catharsis and really summons the adrenaline pumped, bad-assery that Deftones is known for. This is a review at this point, but the first half of the song is a perfect duality of gritty melancholy and subsequent aggressive energy juxtaposed to further magnify both. Happy 20th to this album, I’m only a year older than it. I love this band.
Hell yeah dude. This song got me through some rough times in high school. I'm blessed to have found Deftones, White Pony especially. I'm 24, and I hope younger peeps find music like this and have the ability to connect to it like you and I did.
