Gonna play this first when i get a car.
I did it 😎
Congrats my man
😎
It hits different when you drive on a highway at night and this plays
Im so proud of you dude
@@justanotherrandomperson9070 This Song definitely captures that mood, but imo Passenger is an even better song for night drives
20 years later and it still sounds better than ever
Oh yes.
Cam,I'm 59,and love White Pony!
Couldn’t of had said it better myself!!
Couldn't agree more...... A great band that sings songs that never gets old...
Seriously
Abe is such an underrated drummer
He is truly the Best!!
he really doesnt get enough praise
I was just thinking this yesterday too
I always think about that.
Right? Periphery's drummer is also a fan and takes inspiration from Abe's drumming :))
Love the part where the female vocalist comes in. Very reminiscent of The Great Gig In The Sky.
Exactly what I thought. That's something they haven't done again. You can tell they were down to experimenting here.
I THOUGHT THAT WAS CHINO LMAO???
is chino moreno
@@nicolasuww4222 Thank you!
It’s bot an other vocalist, it’s chino with a different pitch.

Abe is criminally underrated.
Same.
Absolutely
I love everything about this song.
@@kobaltseven absolutely. hes my favorite drummer and the inspiration that made me a drummer. this song in particular was a massive influence on me in all regards
This NEEDS to be in a film soundtrack.
Imagine how cool it would be if Deftones wrote a James Bond theme song.
Dexter the movie.
Yeah Hollywood should ruin this song that'd be great
@@agaetis9472 If it was in a cult classic level film like fight club, joker, American psycho, taxi driver, etc. I would not be mad at all.

I've been listening to Deftones since I was 14 years old, I'm 34 now and it has the same effect as 20 years ago. it's my fucking favorite band!
Eduardo Lozada Same here bro, but Radiohead is my all time favorite band i just relate to there songs so so much, but i definitely relate to Deftones and Death Grips to, honestly for me my top 3 are Radiohead, Deftones, Death Grips, but i also really like Three Days Grace, Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Porcipine Tree, Nirvana/Foo Fighters, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Queen, Michael Jackson, Pantara, Muse, Coldplay, And many many more, but it’s mainly those, and for all time it’s the top 5, but there all very special to me
Are you me?
Eduardo Lozada Wow that’s insane! I’ve been listening to deftones since I was 15. I’m only 17 now... I’ve been separated from my parents since I was a young girl. Though I always knew they loved rock music or something similar to this. Sometimes I’d imagine reconnecting with them and vibing to deftones together. It’s nice to know that they’d be interested in this especially since they’re around your age as well!
In soviet russia - we hearing this song entire life)
Privet iz Rossii,bro.
Same here bro. Born in Sacramento this has always been my favorite band since 97. Deftones forever
Lyrics:
My knife it's sharp and chrome
Come see inside my bones
All of the fiends are on the block
I'm the new king
I take the queen
See here we are all anemic
In here anemic and sweet, so
Go get your knife, go get your knife
And come in
So go get your knife, go get your knife
And lay down
Go get your knife, go get your knife
Now kiss me
Ooh, I can float here forever
In this room
we can't touch the floor
in here
We're all anemic
In here anemic and sweet so
Go get your knife, go get your knife
And come in
Go get your knife, go get your knife
And lay down
Go get your knife, go get your knife
And kiss me
I could float here forever
You are ever sweet
Oh, I could float here forever
Oh, anemic and sweet, so

And come in

When I want to test out new headphones or speakers, I play this song. For me, this song defines the iconic deftones sound.

that bassline goes crazy RIP Chi
Smooth but heavy.
similar feelings to me !!! same first idea after buying my senheisser hd 598 was to hit deftones and check this out.
Man there’s an app called Musi that lets you adjust bass and shit that’s a true test I highly recommend it plays music off TH-cam and you can just edit the sliders and go crazy see what’s the max your setup can handle
this song makes me think of bjork. chino's vocals, and most especially rodleen's
Omg a deftones Bjork collab would be tremendous
I always thought the insanity of the vocal solo is like, bjork levels of vocal insanity
I know right???!! when he says anemic it automatically reminds me of her
I was thinking the exact same thing, something about the way he sings sounds just like bjork
💯 I also here a lot of Bjork style vocals on koi no yokan.
The female vocalist sends shivers down my spine.....
The background vocalista is not a girl, and he is actually the vocalist of 2 bands called 'Tool' n 'A perfect circle' lol
Take this as a 'flattery' of his vocal skills :D
@@suenosinfertiles1386 You're telling me the one at 2:52 is not a girl? :0

This song is the reason why i can’t live without music. I love you Deftones, i was so sad when Chi passed out. Thank you for your music and your dedication. I can’t wait to see you live again.
Yeah. Saw them live twice when they were in russia, and I had to have quite a trip to get to moscow to get there, its about 900km from the place where I live in. Deftones totally worth it, I just love their sound for at least 15 years. And I'm 35. Damn.

My parents met in 1997 when they were both barely 15, they worked at a diner together and would listen to Deftones together on their drives, few years later I was born. they hate eachother now but listening to Deftones and remembering my mom's stories about them as teenagers makes me happy.
Awww that’s sweet :((
You're going to be okay, my friend. May you live long and prosper.
Never give up.

Benzos and deftones 🖤
This song makes me nostalgic for a time I wasn't even born in. Lol
😅😂
My god what a beautifully eerie song, the singer who's voice devolves into screams of terror near the end always gives me chills
Rodleen Gestic! Incredible range
It almost hurts to hear this song. I remember being such in a sad time of my life (being 14 or 15) and this brings back all those negative feelings.
At the same time, I feel this album somehow helped me stay alive.
I don't know if I can listen to this again in 2022, but thanks Deftones! Just thank you!
I know, I've listened this band only recently but God is awesome
I can totally relate. I have songs like that.
Its because it's forever stuck in time.
That's my relationship with Radiohead. I love them so much, they helped in me in such a dark time in my life. Now I'm grown and older, and I can't listen to even one song by them without being thrown back into that abyss. I don't wanna go back there.
@@AntiS7ar Thanks for sharing. OK Computer certainly feels that way too.
I was around 14 when I met this dude Steve who introduced me to Deftones. He was a little older than me but gave me all the albums to listen to because he loved it so much he just wanted to see other people enjoy it. Fast forward 20 years and he's close to 40 and I'm half way through my 30s but we still love the tones.
I'd say he is your guardian angel if ever there was one, he's protecting you from bad music😂👏
I see your taste has shifted a little bit, judging by your profile pic
I could float to this song forever
Crazy how music can bring you back to a certain time in your life. This album and especially this song brings me back to high school. Amazing album.
Absolutely one of the best albums from that time. So many memories n feelings from White Pony
Being 16-17 and listening to/discovering Deftones sure is a mood, I'll tell you hwat.
even though im only 19, it takes me back to high school as well lol
Imagine if you play the first album.
Ryan T SO RUN BACK TO SCHOOL WERE WE ARE THE LEADERS. I had to because that’s the starting track.
This band continues to re-adjust my sanity and stabilize this everchanging plane I walk on called life.
Deftones are the psychologists many people need. When soft they create a soothing shelter, when aggressive they give a chance to scream out inner anger or axiety. Their treatment is easily accessible and absoultely cheap in comparison to shrink's sessions. I feel safe with them and surrounded with care. I feel at home. Deftones are true and constant, like a rock upon you can stand invincibly.
I agree.
Rita, I also agree with you there. But yes, Austin I know the feeling. So happy to say, I seek similar benefits and qualities while listening to these songs, such as this one.
@@RitaSaghen This comment is...+1
my younger sister asked me to buy deftones concert tickets for her bday present. as ashamed as i am to say this i wasn’t super familiar with them but despite that i bought the tickets for her and i and thought screw it i love concerts it will be fun wether i know the band or not. i am so glad that she introduced them to me. if ur reading this shelby thank you for sharing your lovely music taste with me. xoxo
Wow, the best gift she could of have ❤️
Come on bruh
how long was that lol
hey my name is shelby!
Rosleen Getsic’s vocals get me every time
It's her super shrieky screams when the chorus kicks back in that sends this song right over the goddamn ethereal edge. Your spine almost rips itself out of your back with the tingles.
It's a completely different type of music, but Le Grand Guginol's album 'The Great Maddening' has similar shriek vocals on the tracks 'Dimension: Canvas' and 'Madness and her Thousand Young'. It's worth checking out.
When I was in middle school i used to think the shrieking part was a damn guitar.
I might have to say this is the best song of this album. It's so emotional and ethereal. Makes me feel alive again like I was when it came out.
I could float here forever.
In this room we can’t touch the floor. 🦋
those screams at 4:10
Makes me think about all the moms that conceived babies to this song, read the comments above, it will all make sense then ._.
"Great Gig in the Sky" vibes
@Roman Bellic Yes it's a small bit...well uncomfortable to think about conceiving children to this song. I don't know man. :[
love singing
This is a russian singer
I love that they're putting visuals for every song
Worked all day for this bong rip.
No kidding..
the intro make me feel nostalgic in some type of way i physically cannot explain
Yep me too, really reminds me of Little Nicky even though this particular track isn't in it. Reminds me of PS2 days, dark cold winters where the sky was black and stars were bright, idk, full on nostalgia for them days especially.
I have always loved the hard and soft vocals of Chino. But the band has been very fluid since adrenaline..
You guys have been my bedrock of music...thanks
Who needs Drugs when you have Deftones
Every time I did acid this song would be stuck on a loop in my mind. It’s just the perfect song to listen to when I trip. “I could float here forever...”
I don't know dude, Deftones goes with weed like wine does with cheese.
this is ear drugs
@@damone4621 that i agree with
their songs while smoking a fat blunt or 3 is just a whole outta this world vibe
It's my first time hearing this, despite being old enough to appreciate this when it came out. I love the drums, and the vocals during the breakdown were _insane_ ! Can't believe I never got into Deftones. Now I've got a whole career to catch up on, pretty excited for it.
I think it's great to find something that you love so much, you go thru the entire catalog to get up to speed! And so never feel like you caught up!
I have an obsession with the drums on this track. Some of the best i've ever heard.
Since there are a lot of mistakes made about the female vocal part in the 2nd half of the song, it's not Chino. It's Rodleen Getsic. She actually got badly injured about a decade ago and recovered from a traumatic brain injury.
If I ever get married, my wife will enjoy Deftones.
Amazing song. 20 years and it ages like good wines.
Still one of my top favorite songs.
This song is haunting but beautiful. Those are the words that come to mind when listening
Does anyone else get emotional until they cry...with the girl's voice? It happens to me each and every time I listen to this song, it's ultra exciting

Their music alienated me from my people and friends. That's a good thing since they don't know good music.

Closer to 2024 and still jamming this one🔥
Yoko Ono should listen to this song so she would learn how those female screams are done.

The Nu Metal of the 90s and early 2000's was something else, nowadays artists struggle to mimic a fraction of this!

I always felt like if I'd have had a kid to one of their songs, it would have been with my ex gf to Beauty School...lol.
