Great presentation guys!! The images you shared are seriously beautiful. I love the new BMFF. I agree and disagree with some of your points because as you mentioned everything has a work around and there will be times when this camera may not be the right tool for the job, but hands down it is the best bang for your buck. Thank you for a great informative video. Cheers!
Currently in the market for this camera and I really like your take on it. For the price, they're offering a lot! Like you say, each job requires a different style of camera and rig, so to compare this to something like an fx6 is a little silly, totally different style of shooting.
I've been getting around about an hour on battery life. same as the 6k pro, Helps to use the OG battery and set screen brightness a bit lower when you don't need it too high. Another thing is it sets to red way too early, once it goes red you have quite a bit longer than you'd think. nice review guys.
you can also tap on the battery icon and make it display voltage, as soon as it gets down to 6.1v change the battery. No need to worry about red indication. Pretty clever!
Nice video. I love mine. Avoid very low light, hyper-active movement, and being anywhere you can't charge enough batteries to get through your shoot. Outside of that I have been super happy with the images I'm getting. The ability to adapt glass to this is almost silly. Thankfully I didn't purge all my old Canon FD and EF lenses! Keep shooting/sharing!
Ordered the 6K full frame its arriving in 2 weeks, whats the audio quality like with the 3.5mm ? will be using Dji Mini 2. For Gimbal gone for DJI RS3 Pro but considering adding the DJI Lidar focus system. Most shoot holiday cottage videos, talking heads. Great vid guys thanks :)
I think it’s a moot point to say rigging it out creeps in to the price range of another camera. If you get another more expensive camera, you are still going to have to spend on gear to rig it out 🤷🏼♂️
How did you only manage to get 30mins. Did you use the Blackmagic 3500mah battery or a cheap knock off battery? Using the right batteries I always get over an hour. Always. Seriously, if you’re only getting 30 mins you need to get in contact with the seller and switch it out.
30 minutes? Did you turn the screen to full brightness output or something? I get 1 hour to 1 hour and 15 minutes. I even got an hour out in the snow. (screen at 50% brightness)
The thing that really bugs me about the newer blackmagic cameras is that they’re only offering BRAW and most of the competition offers more than just their cameras RAW format. And pretty much all producers hiring freelance workers with camera packages want something more universal like PRORES or even sometimes HEVC. It’s especially painful because their new cameras still punch way above their class, but they’ve just decided to lock out so many people that can’t JUST use BRAW all the time. And it’s just not realistic to have to always transcode entire projects from BRAW to PRORES in post with so many projects demanding a faster turnaround of asset delivery. I say all this as a BM12K owner. It’s easily one of the best cameras on the market, but it’s locked inside BRAW, which is great for personal projects but I can almost never bring with me to contract work because it can’t record in other formats. Which is reason I can’t really see myself investing in the BM6KFF as much as I think it’s a step in the right direction for BM. I’ve already made the mistake of owning a BRAW ONLY camera. And it bums me out that they’re doubling down on BRAW only cameras.
appreciate you sharing your perspective!! definitely not ideal to be boxed into only being able to use B RAW, although very easy to use still not some directors first choice!

Totally agree. Keeping it stripped down is the way to use this machine.
I use gyro on mine every time and it works absolutely perfect each time. Even walking shots that normally would require a gimbal looks super steady.

The lenses and color grade for the city shots are amazing. What lenses were you on?
thank you so much!! we only used the sigma 24-70 💪🏽
Well then it had to be your coloring. Beautiful.
Great video, good points, I love the sensor, I will max it out
thank you so much!! 💪🏽
But again, nice colors!
FYI that Audiio offer was actually $60 not $30. Please advise, was that the correct info?
yes you are absolutely correct! apologies for the confusion! our code brings the price down to $60 for the year 💪🏽
Great info! Beautiful example shots at the beginning
thank you daniel!! 🫶🏽
That camera sure does take really nice video!

very informative, thank you!
Wow, great video! What do you think of the insane sale price right now?!
makes this camera even more appealing 👀 tons of quality for $1600 🤯

we might’ve had some bad ones 😕
