That’s awesome to be on TV. It must have been the gum chewing for me - I was chewing 2-4, sometimes more gum per day for the past year to help with reflux issues 😢 But something baffling happened like recently I was on the phone one day and I was also eating roti and I felt this excruciating pain on one side of my face. (Wasn’t sure if it was the gums or what?!) The next day my whole right jaw was hurting and it felt like there was a knot in my cheek. It started to click/crunch on the same side. The pain seemed to lessen with some massages and then I tried some exercises on TH-cam and this seems to have taken the pain to my left side as well. Now my whole face feels sore, ears blocked, my forehead and temples hurt all day. 😕

@@theTMJdoc Thanks Dr. Mistry. I have been following the exercises on your channel and eating a soft diet and I already feel so much better. You are a great doctor!

This is great for getting TMJ to finally be taken seriously by the mainstream medical community.
Should someone get their erupted wisdom teeth removed before starting Orthotic treatment?

No. I don’t think that’s necessary. Unless they’re infected and hurting you.

I wish I could afford to see a TMJ specialist!!! It's sooooo expensive

It’s a true investment in your health. The jaw joints are the MOST used joints in your body 🤍

I've had diagnosed TMJ for about a year now and it was diagnosed by a physical therapist. I saw a neurologist who diagnosed me with sleep apnea. The sleep apnea could cause bruxism which could cause TMJ.
He told me that sleep apnea could possibly (but not definitely) go away if I got down from my 31 BMI to a 26 BMI. Is this really possible? I'm not asking you if it could cure my tmj. I just want to know if the part about losing weight and sleep apnea could be true
