Enjoyed that. I did an e30 coil over weld the other week after my mates drift car got hit in the nearside front. I used the ancient but lovely "BUTTERS" 3 phase mig at work to weld it. I was quite pleased with the results until I saw your posh rotary table welds. Different level.
Fantastic content Matt, really interesting.- proper fabrication / engineering skills coming out there, loved the welding using the turning table - very good! 😀😎🥸👍
I love your no nonsense Mig welding! Not trying to make it look like tig (that seems to be popular among youtube), instead just laying down a smooth solid bead.
Love the rotating rotisserie mount. I saw that and said out loud, "well that's cool." Edit- Like the narration during the video cuts. Nice touch. Professional.
I liked that. Some serious fiddling there :) Everything is possible with a bit of knowledge and some tools :) Engineering is fascinating And Matt, your welding skills still impresses me, immensely.
Just wanted to share something with your older viewers. I'm 73 and was having trouble seeing the puddle and seam when MIG welding. I was told by Hobart tech support to check out Miller's line of helmets with "ClearLight" lens. What a difference. Before, I could only go about an inch before I drifted off and the weld were strong but ugly. Now with the new helmet, I'm making great looking welds.
Good to see another video from you. Yourself and Trev give so much to your viewers. I have exhausted both channels and can’t did anything to compare. Keep up the good work.
As always Matty, absolutely amazing engineering. Great job Mate. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia, where it's beautiful one day & perfect the next........
Wouldn't it make more sense to modify the hubs to match the skyline brakes instead of new Skyline parts? Now anytime you need to change the consumable brakes you need to remachine new ones. The hubs are less likely to wear out.. and if anything could just have the bearing changes or the body could be modified to take a Skyline hub. Thoughts?
@6:12 The two sections 'screw' together, the strut insert is in the top portion.... I was really fooking pickled too !! It's a really nice design, having the bottom section threaded.
Oh really ill watch it again im looking to do my mk2 escort one do you know if they would slide on and esky tight i think my o/d is 51 mm could you check yours and let me know ive just put mine in storage miles away pretty please 😝😝😝😝
Hi Matt loving the content of the vids I’ve watched them all ,I’ve been looking at the Lincoln better 190c multi. For my cafe racer build , have you had any experience with this welder ?? I could of sworn you had one in one of your vids ,been back through them ,can’t find it ,any advise ?. In the meantime I’ll get a raffle ticket for that beast your raffling all the best 😎
Love to know what Skyline those brakes are off. I have a classic datsun and that brake caliper mount might be useful. Would you consider sending me a set of the plates?
Very interesting work, Sorry you lost a bit of the facial growth just glad it wasn’t anything more than that. Will be here for more work and videos from your shop.
How are there comments two days old when this vid was uploaded 2 hours ago? Also -sup urch 👍

I upload 2 days early with no ads to my Patreon page.
For what it's worth, I liked the voice over, describing what is going on as it's done, over describing things up front, then doing them.
Hey man,
Kevin here from Australia.
Great video this type of content is always good to watch.
Stay safe. Peace ✌

Nice conversion and the process is readily adaptable, thanks Matt.
Enjoyed the dramatic clap sound effect at the beginning!

Great craftsmanship, custom build very nice. Thank you for the share.
Lovely welding on them legs, loved the drill idea 👍👍
I thought these were going to be for the chevette, then thought it doesn"t have struts lol. Great work as usal...
I really like the voice over expectations. More of that please.
Neat, the one ball joint fixing looks like it might be a bit tight on the caliper adaptor bracket but that is what angle grinders were made for!!
Learnt a lot from that project, thank you for sharing your expertise.
Really liked the commentary on this one! Nice to get a few words on what's going on etc.
Love the rotating rotisserie mount. I saw that and said out loud, "well that's cool."

I love this type of mods, honestly its so satisfying to watch.

Cheers Ralf.
Like a glove! 🤣
Love the turntable. Great design to get one continuous weld. Top job and very nice up grade on the disc and calipers
Do appreciate your work, love the work on the plasma cutter. You do make brilliant use of that. Thank You

Perfect welding!
Could watch many more like this!
Really enjoyed this episode. Well done Matt
love the channel bro, really helped me learn alot - learnt to weld in a few days now welding up my 20vt first ever build hahaha
Glad to hear it.
Some proper fab work going on there Matt, who would have thought that could ever work?
who would ever come up with that combination?
That's some top level fenaegling. Great stuff and an interesting project. Would like to see more of this kind of stuff 😍
Excellent workmanship.
That's some Binky-esk stuff right there boyo!!
Love the drill and rotary table set up
Amazing work. Well done!
Nice one Matt! Bluddy good job right there!
Like it was designed that way. Lovely job. The wheels did look as though they were catching the strut though from the angle you showed
There's a good 5mm all round bud.
Ah good
Awesome. well done. Thank you for sharing...from South AFRICA
As always, great work Urch!
Oh man nice job!
Thank you for showing on video.
Really interesting content. Keep up the great work Matt as it keeps me inspired to continue with my build.
Cracking job done learnt a few wee tricks from you there
Chears
👍👍👍😜🏴🦄🎣😁🤞✌️
Had a flash back fire about a month ago. Beard is just now grown back out to the length it was. 😂
As always Matty, absolutely amazing engineering. Great job Mate. Billy J..... Queensland, Australia, where it's beautiful one day & perfect the next........
Cheers Billy
Top quality work.
those welds are fab !
Magnifique comme d’habitude, avec un freinage qui vas être sur puissant voir même trop par rapport à la puissance du moteur 😉
Coincidentally the 9 dis likes of the content are the people who are unable to do it! Great work Mat..
wow some awesome welding bro
Nice job done. Would like to see them on the car.
Nice bit of work.
Good episode Matt, could you show a photograph of your mate’s build that the coil overs are for?
Its the yellow one I did a video on a while back. Should be in there somewhere, you might have to search. Cheers
I do love the rotisserie 👌
aarrmazing work as usual jeez if I had half your skills I would be happy
What rotors did you use for the swap?
you are a welding god mate ... nice job
Anyone could do that on a rotary table buddy, I'm just pushing a button.
@@Urchfab we all know ... there is more then just pushing a button buddy keep on the good work mate
Nice work matt
Ah yes, I'm pretty sure my Z is constructed of parts from 4 or 5 different Nissan's at this point 🤣
This is sick!
Boshty job mate pretty sick work!
DRO on the lathe might help out too.
Nice work
Great video again Matt. Maybe a hydraulic press build, could be a future project.
Not a bad idea
That kind of stuff you can make good money on. 👍👍😀🇨🇦
Awesome 👍🏻👍🏾🙌
A big hammer is an incrimental press😄
would you be able to do a couple of discs for me if I dropped the off at easter. 316mm can your lathe handle that?
Nice work 😉👍
Great job!

Nice 👍
I thought these were for the Chevette and I'm thinking that's a hell of a lot of brake for a small car!
What size are those wheels?
that was very cool!
Wheres the shock insert end ? Did you cut it off im confused bro
@6:12 The two sections 'screw' together, the strut insert is in the top portion.... I was really fooking pickled too !! It's a really nice design, having the bottom section threaded.
The top half is a complete unit which threads down into the case.

Im not doing the disc conversion just the coilovers but they try charge $1300 over here in nz and i can do it myself and get a cert for $120 🤙
Im in new zealand 🤙
Hub mounted on top of the disc? Never seen that before.
Its like that on a lot of older stuff.

Let's see more of that Datsun some time? :)
💯💯💯....🤙
That welding was faultless Matt.
At last 🤙🤙🤙
Is there enough clearance fod the lower ball joint to bolt on
Yep
@@Urchfab must be the camera angle it looks a bit tight👍
Not easy to find people capable or willing to do that type of modifications any more.
hi very well dun nice work
Whoever disliked this episode is a dirt nasty peasant.
referring to them as peasants amused me more than it should have done, thanks!
😁
👍🍻
Class vid 👌👍
Alright Matt great vid are you selling urchfab dice 👍
We have some BCs on the datsun 280z they came ready to weld on out of the box
Result!
Could you make more copies of the brake brackets and sell them?
High quality.
Love to know what Skyline those brakes are off. I have a classic datsun and that brake caliper mount might be useful. Would you consider sending me a set of the plates?
They look like R32 280mm which is the same as you get on 300zx z32.
Link to buy coilovers.
Happy fcukin days looks bloody good 👍
Very interesting work, Sorry you lost a bit of the facial growth just glad it wasn’t anything more than that. Will be here for more work and videos from your shop.
How much do you charge for this service? This is really a great idea.
Uh not really sure, It was a favour for a friend and always takes twice as long when you film it.
@@Urchfab I understand, please let me know if you start doing custom work. Your work is amazing.
Any updates on the mk2 Escort Matt?
Yes mate, all back up and running. Vid coming soon
Clever stuff..
There is a company called MTec who will re PCD your discs. Not sure about the centre bore though...
👍👍🇨🇱
Wow, can you weld!
Why didn't I have notification 😭
