At the foot of Vidova Gora, in beautiful BOL, enjoy the most attractive beach on the Adriatic - ZLATNI RAT, whose appearance changes depending on the tide. STONE CARVING SCHOOL IN PUČIŠĆE is really a place you must visit. This school has been operating for over 110 years and is one of the few in the world that teaches hand stone processing techniques.
The stone and Brač are inseparable from each other. You will best experience how their eternal love looks in reality in PUČIŠĆE, a place considered by many to be one of the most beautiful small towns in Europe, where 7 of the former 13 stone towers from the 15th century stand out.
Or in SELCI, on the main town square, standing in front of the imposing CHURCH OF CHRIST THE KING, built entirely of Brač stone and rightly bears the epithet of Brač Cathedral.
You will learn best about the stone and the beginnings of its use in the time of the Roman emperors in the old Roman quarries above Splitska. The stone excavated in them was used to build the monumental Diocletian Palace in Split, and the undemanding hiking trail "Hercules" leads you to them from the center of beautiful Splitska.
