we are planning to go to vis island for 2 or 3 days at the beginning of august. We would like to know if it is easy to rent a car on the island of Vis, and if it is necessary to reserve it in advance. We would also like to know if it is possible to travel around the island by bus between the two cities and if excursions to beaches from komiza are organized by boat. Thank you very much, for me it is a bit difficult to find this information. Greetings and thanks!

My wife and I took a boat tour and we stopped at Stoncica Beach. BEAUTIFUL. Komiza really left an impression on us. I wish we had more time to experience it.

In my opinion Hvar and Pag are also great locations. Pag is known as the "Moon scenery island"
I agree about Stiniva. If a beach is overhyped in tourist brouchoures and web sites - skip

Wow that place sounds absolutely perfect. Your reasons for wanting to skip it (in retrospect) are precisely what appeal to me. Just a beautiful place to chill and relax. Would have loved to have heard about the cuisine of the Island though. Is there anything particular or different about their food, etc

Food in Vis is amazing. Mediterranean food, lots of yummy seafood and all food is fresh.

      Hi Nuria,
It was very easy to rent a car there but I would certainly reserve it first as they only have a limited number of vehicles. If you're used to using rental car comparison websites, just make sure that when you search they don't automatically switch and show you results for Split rather than Vis Island.
I'm not certain about buses across the island to be honest but they did have taxis. And yes, excursions to Komiza are mostly by boat leaving from Vis. Hope this helps and that you have a wonderful time there 😊

Thanks Hobart, great video as always. Can you just give an estimate for the monthly cost of living in Croatia for 2 persons for example? Including home and car rent, food, other expenses, etc. What was the costs to have such a trip to the village for a couple of days? Looking to do some mini retirements here along the way and so would like if you can share more about the costs of what you are doing in your videos. Thanks again for the lovely video.

i know you are foreign, and that č, š and ž dont exist in your alphabet but it would be nice and it would show respect to actually pronounce these towns and islands correctly....

      Brouk (Brač)...
Ali dobro. Ne očekuje se puno od Amerikanaca u smislu izgovora. Ovaj video je čak i dobar po pitanju sadržaja
