This channel sets a level for filmmaking knowledge that most people wouldn't consider it possible. Most videos on this channel are master pieces, they have a specific style and identify. This guys don't try to replicate shit that has been done and they expertise on filmmaking is identical to any top world directors and d.p.s. Thank you so much for doing this public service. I know this works as promotion for you guys but in reality I hope you understand you are inspiring and empowering filmmakers all over the world.
Overwhelmed by all the nice words and motivation Guiherme… Thank you so much. Promotion… well, the channel doesn't do much for that… this project will have to stand on its own firm financial legs sooner or later. We believe that our inspiration, education, and entertainment of filmmakers could go together with that goal. Memberships are the solution… hopefully
This IS the definitive video. I must admit that due to length I have had to watch it in parts BUT I have watched it over and over again. It’s like watching a movie multiple times - you pick up more details you missed before. I’ll bet this video picks up momentum on viewing stats and drives up the prices of FD’s. Huge WOW! Factor on the whole work!
Glad you see it that way … we hope this might become an evergreen for generations to come… otherwise it would have been a tad bit to much work. The prices might swing for a month or two, but that is usually it. One video can't really change a trend. Corona sales might even cause the market to drop. Thanks man
Hi team Media Division, As most early 30's men, I have been on TH-cam for a decade and a half. In these 15 years, I have subscribed to 4 channels, to give you some perspective on how selective I am. And, you are number 5. Seriously, you have blown away my mind. I am CERTAIN your channel will grow immensely. There's no doubt in my mind. I have shared this video with a Director friend of mine, who works in the Finno-Swedish film industry. I hope more of us will share this video. This is no longer about lenses, or media, this is a free masterclass on research, presentation and accuracy. The Japanese have a word for this: Shokunin / 職人, しょくにん(Artisan).
Hello Sid… that is an amazing compliment and we are flabbergasted to say the least. Thank you Sid… not only for your kindness, but also for sharing and supporting us in that way! We are very happy you see this as a masterclass! We hope you are right… but sometimes the algorithm has his very own head… we will see. In any case… it is great to have you around Sid. Thank you again!
HOW ARE YOU SO UNDERRATED!? The intro alone was worth a pause to comment. Seriously, thank you for adding captions! Deaf fillm/video professionals like myself really really really appreciate it!
I can’t believe this channel exists on youtube.! It’s so well made, as in PROFESSIONAL and beyond, Discovery Channel can pick this up and broadcast it without(as if they would dare) any adjustments. UNREAL!🔥🔥🔥ps I also want to add that the depth, the deep dive of content in comparison with other filmmaker channels is like comparing a simple cartoon drawing made by child to a Rembrandt... AND you would explain how the Rembrandt was painted! Just mind blowing! Thank you👊🏾👊🏾👊🏾
I wish our episodes where mass compatible enough to be picked up by a network or streaming service... but then we wouldn't do what we are interested in, what this is all about. Thanks a lot for your kindness man... Rembrandt is next than ;-)
This video dragged me into the channel, the channel seriously rocketed my interest in equipment specifications and 1 week later I find myself having bought my first serious camera and set of lenses. Thank you for that, it is truthly amazing to feel there's a teacher that cares so much about the art of film that they're just flat out making actual feature length films about filmmaking
I am glad and sorry at the same time Ole. Glad that we could do this for you... and sorry to have infested you with the virus that is filmmaking. You might carry it for the rest of your days. Thank you for your kindness and for hanging around. Please give us an update on how you progress... here or in our FB group. Will try Ole
Just wow. This was AMAZING, Nikolas! Another amazing example from what is, in my opinion, the best film making channel on TH-cam. What am amazing gift you have given to all filmmakers with this comprehensive, and entertaining, analysis of these lenses. I see so many shooters coming back to this video for years to come as we hunt for more of these vintage lenses. Thank you for this stunning piece of work.
Thanks a lot Gerald... we indeed hope that this will have a good "shelf life" and people might enjoy this in many years from now. Plant a tree. Thanks a lot for your kindness and motivation!
this video has introduced me to the absolute magic that is vintage lenses. I am so insanely greatful to have discovered this world, I love this video and channel. Every sponsor also feels like you have truely chosen to work with those that offer services and products that you truely believe in. I respect that so much. Absolutely thrilled to find a new channel like this to subscribe to!
Genuinely one of (if not) THE most brilliant long-form videos I’ve watched on TH-cam. Beautifully made, authentically personal and bloomin useful! Thanks guys: building my FD cine lens kit at the moment and this is GOLD.
@@MediaDivision I find the equation when posting on my own channel is this: Maximum effort + personal passion towards topic = minimal return... where as flipant topic + minimal production = insane views... I just love and hate the TH-cam universe ha!
@@markbone I can't say that my experience goes with that. This video did (expectedly) bad view wise because it is about niche in a niche in a niche and still almost doubles the view of everything else about the subject… plus it is on 1st place of youtube search and under googles recommended videos. This one is not designed for high view counts… I have other interests for this one. If I go after high view counts, I go for experiments, records etc… they click well. The high production value does tune up the view to subscribe ratio a lot - my 2 cents
The fact that this is free on youtube blows my mind. Hands down you are running the most incredible channel on this platform. Screw the algorithm, we gotta do our part to get you the traffic!!
I cant believe what i just saw. the ZERO BS policy in your videos is something extremely rare. time is such a great asset. thank you for spending it on something great like this.
Every time I watch one of these segments I'm more and more impressed! As well, I always learn a lot about filmmaking. Thank you for making these, and at such high quality.
The time, the attention to detail, the tone, the cinematography, explanations and the sheer amount of time this took to put together. Absolutely astonishing. I read another comment saying "this is like a masterclass for film making" I deffinaly have to agree. You have one of the most impressive channels I've ever seen. Even for things that I'm not going to use, not going to buy and are out of my scope I love just watching for the sheet beauty of how its put together. Bravo...🔥
Thanks a lot Bryan… very happy to be able to make this digestible for you, even though you are not the target audience. This comment is really motivating and inspiring to push harder every time. Glad you are around!!
@@MediaDivision I have been buying vintage lenses lately which led me to videos like this. This is beyond words! The level of professionalism and precision in this video about Canon FD lenses is absolutely mind-blowing-I’m convinced this could win an Oscar! The cinematography, the detail, the passion-I’ve never seen anything like it. And as if the stars aligned, just yesterday I received a mint-condition Canon FD 85mm f/1.2L, in its original packaging, untouched since it left the factory. The timing couldn’t have been more perfect-this masterpiece of a video and a legendary lens in my hands!

As an owner of the aspherical 24mm and 85mm lenses AND the L nFD versions, I can confirm that the optics are exactly the same. The L versions also incorporate aspherical elements. If you are buying them to convert to cine housing, save a ton of € and get the L versions.
(Updated Remarks upon Updated Remarks) - I was able to snag a 24mm f1.4 SSC Aspherical for a fair price! It's so exciting to know that I'll be a proud owner of legendary cinema glass! In fact, I'll have an entire lookalike K35 set, with the 35 and 55 swapped for non-radioactive counterparts because...well...radiation! I'll admit I spent a while searching and waiting for the 24L, but my other red-ringed FD's have been hit-or-miss. So when the SSC came up, I realized my patience had been rewarded and I went for it! I'm assuming both the SSC and L have a rotating front, so I guess I don't lose anything there. - The 80-200L is a beast, apparently it's as sharp as a prime, and it has macro throughout the ENTIRE range! However, like the 28-85 f/4, it doesn't have much dampening when focusing. Since these were produced toward the very end of the FD line, I assume this was intentional. - The 20-35L and 24-35L--both similar, yet different. Which is better? The former gets wider and matches the 35-105 in terms of flare, but the latter focuses closer than the 20-35 and has flares that match the SSC lenses. I find these are the major factors between these siblings. - I have to check my 50 1.2L, but I've got my fingers crossed that it'll be a worthy contender to being a part of my K35 kit! (Updated Remarks on additional lenses) - I previously referred to the lack of sentiment I felt toward the 28mm f2 SSC compared to others. However, I had a change of heart and found that I couldn't reject its warm image and flares. Although I sold my copy in August and feared I would never find the lens again, I managed to get another copy of the lens recently! Unlike the 35mm f2 SSC, it does not suffer from a telescoping design, and the lens does not move when focusing. - The 24mm/28mm/35mm f2 lenses make for a lovely trio. Their flares are quite extraordinary, clean and reserved, unlike anything I have ever seen from Canon. However, of three 28mm nFD copies I have run into, two of them have had some trouble with either inner construction or optics. However, the images from the lens are rendered beautifully. - The 55mm 1.2 SSC is a beauty. Wide-open, the lens has a very inviting softness. I'm not sure how I feel about the ring-flare wide open, but it has a remarkable Panavision/Cooke flare when stopped down that cannot be replicated by any other lens. One anecdote I can share is that I have had two non-modded versions of this lens, and both suffered from focus rings that were hard to turn, if not impossible. Something to keep in mind. - I previously mentioned that the 35-105 f3.5 was not parfocal. Since then, I have put two versions of this lens on a Canon A1 and have concluded that the optical element in FD-EOS adapters is responsible for this lack of consistent focus. However, this does not guarantee that every copy of the lens is parfocal. - The design of the 70-210 f/4 allows for smooth in-camera zooms. It is also parfocal and has a beautiful warm flare. - I will comment on the 85mm 1.2L and 1.8 after I get those converted, but I will say the L suffers from the "plastic" feeling mentioned below, perhaps due to the age of my particular copy. (Earlier Comments) Going to add my few cents here as an FD owner. - FD lenses are better weighted, and their focus rings have more resistance. Quite a few nFD lenses that I have suffer from "clicks" when turning the focus ring to either side. Perhaps this is due to pre-owned usage over time. However, as MD pointed out, FD lenses have the follow focus issue due to their telescoping design. - Judging from photos online, such as ones from Flickr, I too would not recommend the 24mm f2. The bokeh is very smeary wide open, and as MD points out here, it's soft wide open. You'd have to stop down to 2.8 for an improvement sharpness, but at that point, you're loosing out on the circular-shaped bokeh the 2.8 already has. The 24mm 2.8 is so sharp wide open and the bokeh is lovely (you even get Super Speed-esque shapes stopped down!) I can't recommend it enough. The 28mm 2.8 nFD is another great lens, with its only real disadvantage being its 5-bladed aperture. However, it's so sharp wide open that you may never have to stop it down at all! - Zoom lover? There is a 35-105 f3.5 available, but I would be very cautious with these. A majority of these are not parfocal--despite being advertised as such. - Got any other Q's? Let me know!
The 'clicks' are a know issue in the focusing mechanism from the material Canon used as roller bearings for fast lenses with floating elements. The decades old bearings deteriorate giving way to the focusing play and eventual optical issues.
@@gintautasberzinskas3743 That's a great question! I would say the 35-105 f3.5 is a great lens for those scenarios. The 70-210 f4 is another fantastic lens, you can get it for cheap and the quality is beautiful. It focuses a foot closer than the 35-105, but the range is not the most accomodating, so you'd have to keep that in mind. It really all depends on the focal range you are intending to use, but I hope this helps!
You completely threw out the old format of review videos and created something new and extraordinary. This is a MasterClass and a masterpiece. This is one for the books.
Thanks a lot Joe... as a member, your contribution made this possible. So, if it is in the books, it is there because of you! We are grateful... your kindness is also much appreciated.
He has returned! Your content is amazing and I wish there was more. However, I know it's only so good and high quality because you take the time to make it so. Or in other words I'm just excited to watch this. I'm gonna get some food, a drink, put on some headphones annnnnnnnd you know what? I'm watching it on the big TV this time.
If there was an academy awards for TH-cam Vloggers, you could certainly start making room on your shelf! It is interesting how these lenses have become so popular, just in one year, the prices mentioned during the video have gone up considerably.
Thanks... I am all for it. Call the academy! Yes... it was and is a trend. I don't think this video alone is the reason for it. We made it because it was a trend already.
Looked through my collection and the only FD lens I found was a 50mm f1.8 from late 70s. I know a little more now about how they can be adapted. I only had a chance to test it by whacking and had to bypass iris control get it wide open. My 3D printer stopped functioning correctly while I was printing a testing adapter to MFT and now I got a shift adapter. Spent a few hours yesterday looking at vintage cine glass. As I am only at S16 or MFT sensor size, most of the FD stuff is far to narrow for me and not practical. I found some almost local offers for Schneider Kreuznach 10mm and 16mm c mount lenses that do look nice and compact. While there is also 10mm Arri 1.6 lens with c mount for a really good price. Som bertithiot pan Cinor were initially meant for Bolex and I got the 10-30 mm d mount version with OVF on my Bolex in the display cabinet. However the S16 version of the 25-100 is still on the wider end. But gives and OVF to some small cinema cameras you wouldn't expect. There is a set of Schneider Xenon 0.95 S16 which do cover a little less than than the Voigtländer Nokton 0.95 MFT set. But the price is equal. So I am undecided. Lens rehousing looks really expensive, but I wonder if you can get by for cheaper if you only need focussing no zoom, not iris. Just focus, focus scale and mount.... Probably worth a shot to contact all the different lens modding experts I Germany. I got a 150mm f/1 (no iris) Germanium infrared lens that I am going to take apart to remove the camera stuck on its back. But getting a rehousing done for this huge of lens will be expensive, but I rather break the housing that the military controlled front element. As there is ITAR implications, I can't easily ship these lenses outside the country or the EU. I took a 50mm Tessar apart once and it never got back together. As there are a few tutorials online, but Soo many different versions of a Zeiss 50mm Tessar f/2.8
Iron glass does/plans FD rehousing for about 1000,- some of the lenses… not the asphericals though. The narrow legths are a problem… thats why we suggest to use a speedbooster. Good luck with your project

@@MediaDivision My pleasure. Yeah, I'll download those cool things and store them for projects that will happen at some point. PS. If you haven't already, I'd be thrilled to hear what you think of these vintage Russian lenses (Helios, Mir, etc). Using old gear like that is appealing to me both as it's a very romantic approach to filmmaking and because it's so shockingly inexpensive. However I (and my small team) are pretty convinced by your Canon FD recommendation and that's what we're aiming for right now. Cheers.
@@kentjensen4504 Well, I have never shot those Soviet lenses, so I can not give you a sophisticated opinion. From what I have seen (largely on the VLEV FB group) is that they have to0 much character for most applications, but as they are cheap.... why not, if one is after an extreme look. Like Benjamin does in our FD episode, they pair well with anamorphic. Iron Glass has very affordable rehousings for those
So I finally get to build my FD collection to use on my R6 (waited 4 years to get a mirrorless mainly so I can easily run an FD and vintage lens collection), thought I'd do some extra research and found this absolute invaluable piece of informative art. You guys have done a stellar job on diving deep into useful info for those of us who want to venture into the FD world of lenses and the production quality and storytelling was amazing! Thanks a lot Taiming. OK... THIS one I did more or less alone... and the answer is of course: take your time. I hope they really are... or at least, that we will get to a point where they can evolve into that. I guess that there are not that many people who take the subject that seriously...and even Filmriot doesn't have 2 million. Who cares... as long as I have people like you who really appreciate what we are doing. Thank YOU for hanging with us!!!
Really loved this documentation and comparison of the lenses! I watched it twice, the first when I was cooking and the second sat down with a cup of coffee with more attention! Unfortunately the amount of mid roll adverts made watching this without add blocker nearly impossible and really infuriating. I really appreciate all the work that goes into these episodes! I would appreciate it if we could have less adverts as this really encouraged me to turn back on ad block as the adverts were really jarring and degraded the experience. As you can see I am a supporter, just on scott tier because i don't . But I believe in your vision and want to support the team. I hope you take into consideration the criticism.
Hello Lucky... yes, I am sorry. We had mid roll ads set to automatic and TH-cam spammed the hell out of it on Sunday... we limited is to 3 mid roll ads now - I think that is OK considering that the episode is 1 hour 23 long. Thank you so much for the support and the fair criticism. Enjoy.
Media Division I think 3 mid roll adds is very fair. I want to add I really enjoyed this longer format. They must take significantly more work to produce but I wanted to say that I for one enjoy them much more. Keep up the jaw dropping content!
I’m not a filmmaker, but I found myself captivated watching this. The amount of work, professionalism and production quality is the best I’ve ever seen on TH-cam. Truly amazing and beautiful to watch, not to mention all the post production work to modify movie footage (I have no clue how to that lol). Bravo, truly bravo sir.
The idea, intent, effort and delivery deserves special commendation. It is refreshing and inspiring to see genuine effort from hardworkinig people like yourself.
Thanks man… well, if you feel that way, you could always become a member for only 99cents. You'll get in the end-credits and get access to our deep dive tutorial how the Aliens and Shining spoofs are done.
There is a little known sleeper lens in the range which is nigh-on impossible to find. The 28mm f2 SSC (breech lock version). Unique and amazing optics, not found in the later nFD version. Much better than the 35mm f2 concave. It took me months to find one in usable condition, I guess they weren’t popular at the time.
Look out for rotten roller bearings on these lenses with floating elements. They can be problematic if you can feel some focusing ring play especially for the optical block as this will negatively affect optical performance.
… and I am sure there are many other interesting ones. We couldn't test them all. "Much better" is always subjective and 35mm focal length made more sense in our setup
J O H ▲ N Yes the optics in the nFD version are totally different. The breech lock version has the most beautiful rendering of any lens I’ve ever seen and matches the but canon mustn’t have made many... no idea why.
This is the best and more convincing use of filmconvert that I have ever seen. The new inserted footage looks practically indistinguishable from the original footage of the movie. Excellent work.
@@MediaDivision Here's an update that may be relevant to anyone considering converting their FD's to EF mounts. I had a set modded by Simmod: 28mm, 35mm, 55mm and 70-210mm. Overall, turned out alright. I'm using the BMPCC 6K. The major issue is that when using the Nano Nucleus, it pulls the lens, creating a jolt in the image. I contacted Ron (owner of Simmod) about the issue, and he said it's not the modded EF mount or the P6K mount, but an issue with the majority of FD's. Ron said, "the focus barrel is stiff-or stiff compared to a normal modern lens. So when the focus motor tries to turn the barrel, the lens and mount work in conjunction to absorb that force. This is what's causing the wiggle because you’re putting so much force on the barrel to turn the lens. The lens isn’t turning smoothly as it should, so it’s pushing the force onto the rest of the mount and body." In fact, he's discontinuing modding services on FD lenses across the board because of this and other issues. It's a shame because the image quality is fantastic. If anyone has any ideas how to remedy this issue, I'd love to hear. Pretty sour about pouring a couple thousand into the lenses and mods and having this issue.
@@weightlessfilms5651 all mine work fine. Of course the wiggle comes from the bayonet mount if high torque os applied... you should see how much torque some vintage PL lenses need. A locking mount (like the EF displayed in the video) on the MAVO helps a ton. Not an option for the 6K. If the barrel is stiff because it's warped, grease will not help

Hey Red… now you got 13 and one is me. It is always good to be super on point and do a lot of research (like when a specific lens was released /built). You should ALWAYS know a lot more that 99% of your viewers and give valuable information. You obviously target absolute beginners so, I guess you are good with it - but very few absolute beginners are interested in vintage lenses… get the problem? Always make sure to tell a good story.

Probably some of the best gear related, filmmaking content on TH-cam. So much research and work put in to this. RESPECT!!!
You are so right ! Pretty amazing work indeed
Thank you Anthon... this was indeed a lot of work. Very happy you enjoy
Thanks man
Shhhhhhh!!!
Hi team Media Division,
As most early 30's men, I have been on TH-cam for a decade and a half.
This video dragged me into the channel, the channel seriously rocketed my interest in equipment specifications and 1 week later I find myself having bought my first serious camera and set of lenses.

@@MediaDivision I find the equation when posting on my own channel is this: Maximum effort + personal passion towards topic = minimal return... where as flipant topic + minimal production = insane views... I just love and hate the TH-cam universe ha!
that said, 140K views on such a highly technical video, more obscure lens for the casual video/photographer is impressive!

As an owner of the aspherical 24mm and 85mm lenses AND the L nFD versions, I can confirm that the optics are exactly the same. The L versions also incorporate aspherical elements. If you are buying them to convert to cine housing, save a ton of € and get the L versions.
As I suspected, I was just wondering in a comment below so thank you!
Well, mostly, yes... the L have machined Aspherical elements and the dissolving bearings problem. For rehousing not a issue.
(Updated Remarks upon Updated Remarks)
- I was able to snag a 24mm f1.4 SSC Aspherical for a fair price!
(Updated Remarks on additional lenses)
- I previously referred to the lack of sentiment I felt toward the 28mm f2 SSC compared to others.
(Earlier Comments)
Going to add my few cents here as an FD owner.
Thanks for your input Harrison.
@@MediaDivision My pleasure! Thank you for making such a great and insightful series!
What FD mount zooms you would recommend for documentary film?
@@gintautasberzinskas3743 That's a great question! I would say the 35-105 f3.5 is a great lens for those scenarios. The 70-210 f4 is another fantastic lens, you can get it for cheap and the quality is beautiful. It focuses a foot closer than the 35-105, but the range is not the most accomodating, so you'd have to keep that in mind. It really all depends on the focal range you are intending to use, but I hope this helps!
The edit in shots looks soo reallistic!
Thanks!!!

I agree best channel on youtube

@@kentjensen4504 Well, I have never shot those Soviet lenses, so I can not give you a sophisticated opinion. From what I have seen (largely on the VLEV FB group) is that they have to0 much character for most applications, but as they are cheap.... why not, if one is after an extreme look.
Thanks man.... you bet.... the stuff of many many sleepless nights. Filmmaking is a cruel bride
Thanks a lot man… glad it appeals even to people not interested in the subject!
The idea, intent, effort and delivery deserves special commendation. It is refreshing and inspiring to see genuine effort from hardworkinig people like yourself.
Thanks a lot man… appreciated… always trying out best and trying to improve with each episode.
Came back here to say that this video alone is the reason why FD lenses have skyrocketed.
I wish I could do that... I'd be rich... I am not
I feel like I should've pay to watch this content.
Thanks man… well, if you feel that way, you could always become a member for only 99cents. You'll get in the end-credits and get access to our deep dive tutorial how the Aliens and Shining spoofs are done.
This is probably the best youtube video what i have ever seen.
Well, thank you Domi. Glad you feel that way… quick, tell TH-cam!
I've been watching your channel for a year now. It's been an absolute delight. Thank you for making such beautiful videos.
Our pleasure Fernando. Very glad you enjoy.
The definitive channel for filmmakers. Thank you for all your hard work in helping us navigate this industry!
Thank you so much for your generosity and kindness Daniel… we couldn't do any of this without your support. We salute you!
the most underrated TH-camr, ever
Very happy you feel that way… I wish TH-cam would think so too
DAMN THIS IS LIT, HIGH PRODUCTION QUALITY
Thanks Pic
There is a little known sleeper lens in the range which is nigh-on impossible to find. The 28mm f2 SSC (breech lock version). Unique and amazing optics, not found in the later nFD version. Much better than the 35mm f2 concave. It took me months to find one in usable condition, I guess they weren’t popular at the time.
Me: leaves this page for eBay ...
“not found in the later nFD version” as in that the optics aren’t as “Unique and amazing” from the nFD? Because a nFD 28mm f.2 does exist.
Watched this 3 times.. not in a row, but have been back for this and have shared it several times for its wonderful information.. BRILLIANT WORK!!!
Thanks a lot SoCal! Glad you find it rewatchable… next step… watch it 3 times in a row 😜
This is the best and more convincing use of filmconvert that I have ever seen. The new inserted footage looks practically indistinguishable from the original footage of the movie. Excellent work.
Glad you think so Krishna… Filmconvert makes it quite easy. Love that thing! Thanks a lot!!!
I'm simple man, I like Media Division videos and Vintage Lens.
Thanks a lot Vini... we are simple too... we like you and that you are a member 😉 very happy you enjoy your contend
Fantastic! Are you saying the "breathing is tolerable" or "the breathing is terrible"?
;-) tolerable… absolutely tolerable! Thanks man
@@MediaDivision Here's an update that may be relevant to anyone considering converting their FD's to EF mounts.
If the barrel is stiff because it's warped, grease will not help
this is the third time watching this, I'm sure that I will be coming back again soon
I am all for it.... thanks man... Glad you enjoy so much.
One of those rare channels I subscribe to a third of the way through the first video I've watched. Superb work, thank you!
Thank you man… appreciate that sentient and motivating comment. Glad to have you around
You put on an equally nerdy and enjoyable show. I absolutely appreciate your creativity and thoroughness. Thank you.
Thanks man… nerds of the world unite ;-)
You have higher production value than most movie studios.
How depressing ;-) Thanks a lot John... working hard to get there!
This is better than netflix.
I should be paying 10 bucks per month for this, instead of lbgt teenagers series
I'm all for it… please become a Kubrick member… it is a cent cheaper to :-)))) Thanks man
@@MediaDivision I'm currently unemployed, so I became a Scott member for now :)
This is actually the fist time I join any channel in youtube, you guys are worth it with the super long videos with great production quality
Now that is tooo kind of you. I meant it more of as a joke! Your situation makes your support extra special to us ... very much appreciated. Thank you so much Fermixx!!!!
I know it was a joke, didnt feel any pressure or anything :)
@@fermixx Glad to hear that Fermixx
Within 5 minutes of the completion I bought a 35mm f2 SSC concave front element
Cool… have fun with that one!
This is like a big budget Netflix documentary. The level of research and detail, and the narrative and imagery supporting it, is off the charts. Incredible work. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏻
Very glad you enjoy Picto! A bit to nerdy for Netflix I fear.... but I am open for their offer 😝
As a fellow filmmaker, I leave every one of your videos feeling inspired and refreshed. Thank you for deriving the art from the technical. Beautiful work.
Thats a pretty nice way to put it Michael… thank you so much and thank you for hanging
😂 I made a video about my FD lenses, and got 5 views. Now I know why ^^ very well done video here
Hey Red… now you got 13 and one is me. Marketing is halve the success… built over time. The german only audience is a huge limiting factor. 85% of my viewers don't speak german. Maybe this will be a little starting point to more views for photography related stuff… if you want that… I don't think it mixes well with the main theme of your channel. Automotive is a nice and easy to film subject… made this a while ago th-cam.com/video/DzbhQKNzaS4/w-d-xo.html
The new standard of TH-cam
poor creators 😂
Y'all really out here making me spend more money on lenses. 😩
yep.... say sorry to your wife and banker from us
Maybe I should hold off on the fd set until after I finish buying and converting the rest of that Contax set I started.
Most underrated channel in the filmmaker society. should have more subscribers. the channel deserves it.
We could really use some subscribers for sure... All I can say… please spread the word. Thanks a lot for your kindness!
You guys are something else, the level of quality of these videos and information is incredible !
Thanks man!!! Appreciated. Always trying to improve
