I think it's so cute how he speaks Japanese and she responds back to him in English. They both understand each other even though they're speaking their native languages.

Jun speaks English so well and has such a good American accent that I forgot Japanese was his first language until he had a difficult time reading the cards
it's interesting to hear how some people's voice changes when they speak certain languages.
Just to clear up any confusion, in Japan they don't celebrate Christmas because it is tradition for Christians. In Japan, there are very few (if any) Christians. So, it would only make sense that they don't celebrate it.
I think it is absolutely adorable that Jun wanted to set up the tree. Like, I can't explain what that did to my heart. Lol. Christmas tends to lose its charm after a while, especially once you've grow up, and so many people stop feeling that joy and wonder that they felt when they were younger. It's just nice to see someone seem excited about something so simple as setting up a tiny Christmas tree. I have a four year old boy now so Christmas is exciting to me again now that I can see the wonder in his eyes as he helps me set up and decorate a tree (which I'd begun to see as little more than an exhausting chore). It's just... I dunno. I didn't mean to make this big long comment. I love spending time with people from other cultures here in the US because it's amazing to see them be interested in and get excited about traditions and things I've long taken for granted.

you two are so cute. jun is so polite and quiet and rachel is so sweet and loveable. you two seem like you really have a lot of respect for each other.

Jun has really good posture.
It's interesting seeing Jun's evolution in the videos. Most videos he doesn't seem interested (but as Rachel said it's just his "Japanese" nature) but the more videos I see the more expressive he gets. It seems he was so excited for his first official Christmas he just spoke Japanese the entire time but it's nice to see that he is opening up more in videos so we get to see more of his personality. Jun should do a video of his view on western culture and how he sees it if he hasn't done one, seeing someone else perspective on things is always interesting.
