Here's me breaking down in detail all the reasoning, assumptions and thought processing that goes on in the background when I'm 'deciding what to work' on every day. I feel like I 'just do what I want without schedules' every day: and I do. It's just I have a whole bunch of reasoning that I've been doing for so long in the background that has now just turned into 'intuition'. Here's that intuition and thoughts broken down: hopefully anyone who works or thinks the same way as me can save themselves some time in getting to the same or similar views on work.
DISCLAIMER: I do try to mention it wherever it's relevant, but for some reason did not remember to in this video: I DO work 10h+ some days, I DO also then not work for days and days in a row on those things. This scheduling is very hot-and-cold for me, and is the best way I function: letting myself work as long as I want to when I feel like it (which tends to be a lot) and not forcing myself to do work when I don't feel like it (which is equally often).
This turns out to be the most anti-burnout-friendly thing for me - just wanted to point out I do NOT work consistently crazy hours - I work inconsistently crazy hours if that makes sense

Wow, you are too beautiful whomever sees you shall believe that God is real, and whenever I see you I am always in a dream, and when we wake up we all will realize that all this life was nothing but a dream and that only God is whats true and real.
I dont know how can atheists believe that such a very sexy very attractive beauty queen like you came from monkeys hahaha 😄
There was a teacher whom didn't believe in the existence of God, He said to his students do you see God?,
the students replied no we don't see God, so the teacher said if you don't see God it means there is no God,
then a smart student stood up and said to the other students hey guys do you see the teachers brain?,
then the students replied no we don't see the teachers brain, the student then said then the teacher is crazy he got no brain :0)
عن الإمام علي "عليه السلام": عَجِبتُ لمن شك في الله، وهو يرى خلق الله
Imam Ali, peace be upon him, said: I cant understand how a man-man/women-can doubt in the existence of God-/Allah-although he sees His creation.
وعن الإمام علي "عليه السلام": عَجِبتُ لمن أنكر النشأة الأخرى، وهو يرى النشأة الأولى
Imam Ali, peace be upon him, said: I cant understand how any one denies the second life although he/she seen the first life-this life is actually a living proof of both the existence of its creator, as well as a clear proof that indicates that another life in heaven or hell may also be a very possible chance as well-.
وعن الإمام علي "عليه السلام": عَجِبتُ لعامر دار الفناء، وتارك دار البقاء Imam Ali, peace be upon him, said: I cant understand how any one inhabits this transient abode-and is
so indulged in it-but ignores the everlasting hereafter abode,
one God for all of us, all the universe shows unity with diversity, there are different things different creatures and different materials but are all made of particles and atoms
Even if we will assume that there will not be an atom left of you after death, you still have proven as a created being that there is a Creator, you proved the existence of God even if you do not believe in God.
God initiated everything, and he redo too, and it is evident.
this life is temporary while the next is forever eternal either in paradise or burning in Hell fire
good qualities are beneficial, and bad qualities are harmful
Be good dont be bad and refrain from sins and obey God and worship him alone in the way he wants to be worshiped and you will be saved from Hell fire and will enter paradise and be happy forever
Whoever does an atom’s weight of good will see it, and whoever does an atom’s weight of evil will see it,
or may not see it if God pardons him/her and has mercy on him/her that's if he/she try's to fix what he/she has spoiled, in the right time,
Also, when you give charity God protects you and blesses you with more good things in life or more money.
A teaching from the prophet Mohammed may peace and blessings of God be upon his pure great soul and upon his great honorable progeny.
Also, if you be bad to others you will hurt your own self too,
likewise when you don't do what you should
      in the right time.
& having faith in God makes you stronger
and makes you have hope even when things become very difficult
and even when you are weak.
      Another thing:
Drinking alcoholic beverages damages the liver and the mind,
& adultery is not good because it is not true love it is neglect to the lady and to the fetus, and brings sexual diseases.
while marriage on the other hand, ok it has sex in it, but it is a relationship in which the woman and the fetus are cared for
as for sodomy-same sex marriage-its bad not part of normal human life &it brings sexual diseases, &eating pork can bring cholesterol&some parasitic worms,
Not cheating &gaining trust by being trust worthy and honest,
      &having good behavior,
brings more money to you and is good for you in the next life too,
These are some of the teaching of the prophet Mohammed
The Messenger of God Muhammad is the most perfect human, and most intelligent man, his mind was the brightest mind,
&he is the most merciful of all people, his heart was the biggest heart, but he was firm against every crime,
&was the most just &kind, and taught every good, taught people to respect &love & care for each other,
&for the female, &elder, &children, &to protect the innocent person regardless of what he/she believed,
(If one of the polytheists seeks protection from you, then grant him protection) Holly Quran,
&taught to either forgive the one who wronged you, or be just &fair when retaliating, or to shock the person and enslave his/her heart by being generous &kind.
who to follow after the prophet?:
Even if you may think that all the companions of the Messenger were
always good and all of them are like mountains, despite everything that happened between them!!
the Prophet said: “My family-daughter Fatima the lady of light the lady of heaven and Imam Ali and their great offspring's and special perfect chosen descendants-are like the ark-/ship-of Noah, whomever embarked on it survived, and whomever did not drowned and died.
&We know that the son of Noah did not embark on the ark/ship of salvation, rather he climbed a mountain and drowned due to the very high tides and because he didn't follow God command. Don't be like him
spread the light teach what's good &right its best for you and for all and better than letting the wrong things from wrong teachings or bad desires and ill mind happen, prevention is better than cure , .

You are more beautiful than the most lovely rose
      And more sweet than honey
      and more precious than gold
You are more precious than everything that exists in this world
A beauty queen whom like her my eyes have never ever seen
And may never ever in my whole entire life will see
With her unique amazing beauty she made me as her slave
But as a king I always should be
King of her heart forever I want to be
Iam her castle and her knight
and the throne on which she shall always be
I have her in my heart and in it she forever shall be
A beautiful glowing face she got like a lovely full moon
A wonderful body and a magical smile
A soothing sexy voice and a lovely silky hair
wide attractive eyes and very soft cheeks
very white teeth and very nice breath
Her lips are like red rubies or like tasty red berries
The infant cries longing for her breast
and I myself love them too
She got lovely cheeks above and lovely cheeks below
And a very kind heart and a very generous hand
Seeing her is a cure for the ill and a joy for the soul and heart
I am addicted to her forever and she is forever addicted to only me
She shows her beauty to no one but me
And she got a very creative smart wise brain and a big white heart
and she never envies any one at all
      and never have any jealousy
She is always and forever grateful to her lord even if bounties became little not many
      And she always loves God
regardless of what calamities he tests her with
And is forever strong in faith
      and forever fears her lord
And does all types of good deeds for the sake of God
and not expecting anything from humans in return
& She refrains from all evil and from all types of sin
And she loves all the messengers of God and their true successors with sincere true love too
She loves all the messengers of God and those who represent them after they are dead, with true love, and hates all those who have stolen their rights, even if they were righteous before
She makes no partners never ever with God
and asks everything only from him
And believes he does not have any son or daughter
      nor was he born
And in public she covers her hair because she only show her beauty to her husband and not to any other male
So she dresses like a nun and
like her there is no one/non
Who is my unique lovely queen
can you now guess? Yes lovely princess my lovely queen is you
      She loves being a muslim
her aim is always pleasing God
So she worships her lord and to all people she is soo kind
She only fall in love with her husband not with any other male
and she is too sweet and self dependent and loving and caring and patient and forever strong

this is what i’ve naturally done my whole life. but i’ve always screwed it up because i have battled thinking i need to develop habits and strict routines like a “normal person.” whenever i have done that, i’ve actually enjoyed it for a few days, but it always inevitably falls apart. (not to mention every essay i’ve ever written on a strict schedule has gotten the lowest grade lol) putting myself into strict routines always makes my brain wander and *intensely* want to do something NOT on the routine, which leads to me usually giving in, doing the thing and getting mad at myself and then repeating the cycle. i think what i’ve realized is my brain knows what needs to be done and i just need to work with it, not fight it.

I am NEVER going to call myself a procrastinator again!! That label has been a black cloud over me since high school. I am now 50 and back in school in a health field with lots of science. In 2020 I got my bachelor's degree with a 4.0 in *every* class! And so far the same in my master's. Yet I have guilt for doing assignments right before they're due. I should not have guilt, I should be proud of getting A's, regardless of the clock! Obviously my judgments have yielded successful results, so why should I feel like they're "guilty A's", like I didn't deserve them because I didn't take weeks or days, and instead I took 10 hours in one day? That's my business, yet I've actually felt like if another student also got an A after spending 2 hrs a day for a week, they deserved the A more than I did, because I "procrastinated" while they were a good little structured girl, and doing things "last minute" is something I should hide and be ashamed of.
"Forgive me Father, for I have sinned... I got an A for doing an assignment in the 10 hours before it was due instead of 2 hrs/day Mon-Friday." 🤣
I felt defective as recently as an hour ago, but seeing these videos and all the comments, I am so relieved to know I'm not alone! Thank you, Elizabeth, and thank you everyone who commented!

The trick is to do the preliminary stuff she shows here so at any point in time there's something specific you can point at that corresponds to how you feel and soon you'll be more productive than ever. I definitely had this problem of not being able to compartmentalize tasks. I always viewed everything as a big daunting task and it would give me so much anxiety especially in school.

Most evenings I'm feeling creative and focusedand it would be so good. . . if I could make myself do anythign with it. But the second I say I "have to", my brain rejects that and I spend all night playing video games.
In the morning I'm half asleep, but if the kitchen is a mess and I need to paint my nails, I can tell myself that in the 2 hours before work I will wash my face, put on a clay mask, do the dishes and sanitise/tidy up any surfaces, while that sits, paint my nails *after* that, but before I shower, that way the chores don't ruin my nails, shower, get dressed etc, run a load of laundry while I have breakfast, (prepackaged stuff, so just a spoon to wash), then sit down at 8:59 to log in and work, and put laundry out at my lunch break. . . if I don't tell myself I'm doing that the night before though, I get up at 8:30, shower, grab a yoghurt at 8:55, and then sit down to eat that in front of my laptop and hope nobody sends anything important until I've fully woken up!

It makes great sense to go with your energy level and map out your motivation levels. My map looks a lot like a bell curve. This is very insightful for me as I map out my tasks as a teacher. An IMMENSE THANK YOU for sharing your discoveries! I’ve been hacking away with the “daily habits” and doing things the old way. I’ve typically had energy when starting things, then I sort of fall flat. I would beat myself up with lots of negative self-talk during the low moments, trying to force myself to “get back on track.” You have made it ok to have bursts of energy and capitalizing on motivation and managing the lulls 😊🎉

Bloody brilliant, thank you so much for sharing this! I've felt so terribly misunderstood by those 'productivity planners' - but working when real stakes are on the line is what gets me to show up. I found that scheduling meetings, appointments and launch dates is the best way for me to get something done. Trying to fill my weekly calendar with 'batch creation times' that are always at the same time / day of week just hasn't worked for me so far.

This is an interesting video because it gives some insight into how the brains of superachievers work. I've always been fascinated with people who get so much done they seem like they're using a hermione time turner. I have fairly significant anxiety issues, so any time I try to plan or organize my life, I get overwhelmed and begin to spiral. As one would expect, my life results have been pretty abysmal. But in recent years I have actually been able to accomplish a few things. And after watching this video, I think one of the reasons why is because I started scheduling things around my levels of self restraint, which are also highest in the morning. So I always try to get the really hard things done right away before my anxiety rises and motivation plummets.

Thank you so much for sharing this. It’s refreshing to hear from someone who has worked with their energy and the way their brain naturally works versus trying to force yourself into a system, which I’m guilty of. It made me feel seen and validated in my chaotic passionate way of doing things. I used to think it’s because I’m inconsistent and will never get good at anything, but your videos have been so helpful in helping me see that we just work differently from those other people and require a more creative approach to harness its potential. Look forward to more videos 😊❤

Amazing, you have articulated what I’ve been doing (or trying to do) my whole life and given me new insight. For example, my issues were with not wanting to face deadlines due to immense pressure and fear that I will not feel motivated to do high energy parts of tasks until close to the deadline, which is frowned upon by others. This worsens my already-impaired executive function and traps me in a loop of shame. Now I know I need only focus on keeping aware of my deadlines and I’ll naturally get work done at my own pace. ❤ Thank you for the inspiration and for being a breath of fresh air in this community.

Thank you for a video that resonated so strongly that, once I picked my jaw up from the floor, had me nodding along and saying, “yes, that’s what my mind’s M.O is too.” Also “Oh, how great that you can accept, articulate it and work with it” I’ve been chastising myself for not being able to stick to schedules, no matter how I wrote up the plans. Reading all the self-help books on good habit forming then failing miserably to form any and, what’s more, seemingly start going in reverse at top speed doing the opposite to my schedule. I get it now. It’s just the way I am and it’s not only fine, it’s workable and can still be productive and get all the tasks done if I do them in my way without the shame of not doing them …like someone else. Makes so much sense now. Feeling fabulous, just quietly, the lightbulb moments satisfy something wayyyyy down deep. Smashing, spiffing, splendid. A thousand thanks.

I used to keep a weekly calendar where I would break assignments into chunks each day, but I struggled. What I do differently is I only put down the date the whole assignment is due. I have less stress completing a project this way for some reason. It's like if my brain knows I have to get a certain amount of work per day, I struggle. But if I know when it's due, I'll just find time whenever I feel up to it and work on it that way. I still break it into chunks but it's a process that happens in the moment rather than planned.
