I am absolutely astonished by how many people who review cars for a living don’t know that it is a Cadillac chevron not a Cadillac V. It goes back to the 1950s which dates back to before the creation of the V sub brand. The lack of chevrons on the seats denotes that this is a “base” interior. Whereas a chevron on the seats denotes a premium interior. The chevrons on the grill are for your aesthetic pleasure.
24:30 You’re not supposed to necessarily lock the turn signal in place for a lane change while Supercruise is activated unless you just want to add an extra step in your lane changes when it’s time to deactivate the signal. If you nudge the stalk instead the signal will be activated until the car completes the lane change and it will deactivate the signal all on its own. It’s really a seamless experience when done correctly. It’s interesting that *gm* believed in and therefore invested so much into pioneering their SuperCruise tech that other automakers have completely followed their lead and now offer similar systems based on the same model of pre-mapped roads, something Cadillac was criticized for earlier on but has proven to be much safer than Tesla’s approach to semiautonomous driving. I don’t get why people feel *gm* needs to improve their regular ACC because some of their competitors have executed it better than Cadillac but you’re forgetting they also don’t have a semiautonomous system as polished as SuperCruise. I rather have SC as standard equipment vs. a really well done ACC. I’m almost sure one is a much larger investment for the manufacturer than the other.
I’ve driven like 5 supercruise vehicles this year, this one didn’t like working when nudged! I largely just let it lane change on its own when it felt like moving around a slower vehicle, a really really good feature BTW. Otherwise I am a huge supercruise fan, I’ve felt the updates and differences across systems over the past 2 years and it’s really impressive. Very confidence inspiring.
Great Video I Have The 2021 CT5 Premium 550 t V6 White With Peanut Butter Interior # Thanks For Showing The Auto Parking 🅿️ In Action Nice Pause Touch At The End Of The Review
It's a great all around luxury vehicle and i really like the updates they did especially on both the inside and out. I will say though, aside from the big screen that they added, the interior seriously needs an upgrade. Like by just looking at this video, i can see some visible plastics on some parts of the interior.
Like this car - but the small quality issues like the carpet in the rear-passenger seating area is another sign GM is still 90% of the way there on interior fitment.
Cadillac does more by-hand stitching and finishing by hand than other brands, so that is probably part of the reason. But also, sometimes these early reviews are done in pre-production cars so that could be an explanation as well.
Can confirm this was not Pre-Pro. But Cadillacs real new stuff is world class. CT5 still misses out on newer materials and switchgear due to the platform
@@joelbolton7252 The V3 CTS is MUCH better quality and luxurious than the CT5, I love my off black 14 CTS V-Sport Premium which got many things no CT5 can get with better materials as well
I bought a white one of these in September. I love it and the 3LTT moves that car very well.
Nice! And surprisingly good value given performance, features, and style
Just got mine .. it is so excellent !

Nice tip. Guess the prominence of the V brand today overshadows that for the new crowd.
Cadiallc themselves never mentions this point now
Nice review. Beautiful car and lovely color! The engine is awesome and the price is also great! I am tempted to go for an AWD version of this.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Nice review. It would be helpful to know how tall you are, when sitting in the backseat.
@@dwlewis7361 6ft, I typically say that.
Wonder if the V also gets Super Cruise as a standard feature?
When I see the interior materials, I’m so glad I got my 2024 Volvo S60. However, I wouldn’t want to drive this as I’m sure it drives better 😅

bruh, its v and v blackwing. v sport is dead
Actually it's not dead. There is the "CT4 V" and "CT5 V" and then the V Blackwing models. I'd rather call it V sport to better distinguish the two.
Wouldn’t be too crazy about paying 55,000 for a car that doesn’t have power folding mirrors, but that’s just me😮
