The instructions are correct, somewhat. I have had V2 , V3 and Pan cameras. Once connected to power you should hear a sound ( maybe). Check you advanced setting to see if the camera recognizes the SD CARD. Truth be told. Often times the card will ned to be replaced. For some reason once the card is in the camera it's “BEST” not to remove it to a different camera. As far as how to install a camera is correct.

yes my guess is 128 GB would be the highest

They’ve tested to 256GB. You may be able to go larger but they haven’t tested that configuration.
