I’m a weaver. I make things for the sake of making them. Consider building inventory and just go once or twice a year to a craft show. It is a good way to make things people want, not have to deal with the online nonsense, and just have a social outlet where people are usually in a pretty good mood.
yes thank you my dear sweet brother that is what I am planning on doing
We do most if these tips. But I wish we had a store like yours . I love crafts starting to clear out my studio. If there a craft I didn't and have all these supplies. At 77 I still quilt and make wreaths but that's about it
@EllenEdwards-hb2fh That's huge Ellen! I'm 65 and when my mother gave birth to us 4 siblings, my grandmother made each of us a quilt. I have had my quilt stored all these years as I knew how much went into making these quilts. My grandma used to save up her dresses and when she was done with them she would use her dresses for fabric squares for her quilts. What a gift you have.
I love books… I generally scoop them up at library sales and they make me happy. I even re read books. I also use the free resources available but still occasionally pay a dollar for a book at the library sale.
I save money cooking at home all the time. I love my crockpot as well❤❤❤
I am on social security and I do not believe in buying nonsense and looking for the best values for food and living a simple uncluttered life.
I totally agree with the beautiful words you wrote here
Love the little bird and your music choices. You always have the nicest music! So calming!
Oh Tessie ! You are a women after my own heart ! I love crafts, soap making , bread baking ,candle making, doing things to save money by making it myself. I also grow my own herbs , and have a vegetable garden. Keep up all the good work that you do. ❤
Blessings 💞🌹🙌🏾
I live of disability pension can relate I have no spend Friday Saturday Monday Tuesday
Oh boy, I remember as a newlywed I cut potatoes to make potatoes pancakes. Mixed all ingredients together and thought I was so smart. I put the mixture to be cooked in the refrigerator and would fry them later that day. Imagine my surprise when I saw it. It was dark black and sorta green. Neither of us had potatoes pancakes that day. Haha!!! Thank you for your visit. Take care. ⚘️
That Was So Funny Joanne😊
Well, You Learnt From it-- That's The Main Thing,
Hope That Your Day Went Well My Friend!
GOD Bless, Andrea
Yeah 🎉
I save a lot of money by staying home, not driving anywhere but a few times a month for doctor appointments and twice a month to the main store. Cook all but one meal a month at home. If it's a tight month even that one meal out is eliminated.
I want to thank you Tessie for showing us how (on a previous video) to save old soap bits and make a big jar of laundry soap. I have been saving soap bits for years. I had a big bag of bits.I put them in a pot of water and boiled them like you said. They melted away into the water and smelled so good! I got out my big galvanized wash bucket and put all the pet's blankets in it and filled it with water. Then I poured the new bit soap mixture. I raised them up and pushed them down into the sudsy water over and over. Then I pulled them out and wrung out the soapy water. Then I hosed them down with clean water and wrung them out again and laid them across the low picket fence to dry. Now my pets have clean and dry and sweet smelling blankets for the Winter --thanks to Tess!
Good evening Tessie!
Tessie,I see in your written page about this post something about The LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE books.
An interesting thing is,my Husband, Steve Gregory Frank had a Grandmother who's was named REBEKAH MARY INGALLS FRANK! YES HE IS RELATED TO LAURA AND MARY . MY understanding is that Charles Ingalls BROTHER is his so many times back GREAT GRAND FATHER!

I pray me and my twin daughters 27 at home would be on board when it comes to our shopping so we don't buy double bread wraps yoghurd etc
I only buy craft items on clearance. You should see my craft room! 😂I also buy craft items at thrift stores. Seeds, Tessie! I would definitely interested in garden seeds. Will be emailing you about the seeds you might be selling. Im looking for Holy Basil. I use washing soda in my dishwasher, instead of dishwasher detergent. Finally, honed the recipe with a rinse agent that works very well!
Hi tessie. I also use my crockpot a lot ❤
Thank you so much, Tessie for this lovely video.
Don’t say never to selling your products. Maybe start off at a local farmers market, farm stand or selling your products in a local shop. I think it’s great you’ll be selling your seeds. All great money saving tips! We don’t have a discount grocery store anywhere near us, but I try to get to Aldi and the other grocery stores I shop early when they first open. When I do that I typically find meat and produce marked down.
Great tips and wonderful pictures.
We have a small town farmers market that we can sell those things at without all those rules. Antique stores are great too
Tessie you are an inspiration!
So very true!
Tessie, I make balms, vinegars, crochet items, dehydrate, can, etc. I don’t sell them for the same reasons you mentioned but I do barter!
I'm dehydrating Apple's and lemons today
I am doing peppers 😊
I use my crockpot every week
Me too❤❤❤
Happy Wednesday Tessie ❤
Yes craft costs add up quickly.Beautiful scenery Tessie. Have a great evening everyone.
Easy ways to save $- Dryer Balls which are $1.25 at the dollar store. Electric Toothbrushes. Sprout your veges in jars- Broccoli sprouts are our favorite. They are at PEAK nutrition. Shower in the nearby river. When we camp for 9 days, we shower in the river and my hair and skin become so soft
Happy Wednesday to you Tessie❤
I buy practical craft supplies usually, not always lol..like snaps and adhesive batting for making tote bags. I've got lots of fabric that I've collected through the years, so I dont need fabric.
I loved the drone footage at the end. I've been to Lancaster County in the fall and its stunning. I have friends in Richland PA.
Blessings to all. Thanks for another beautiful video Tessie. ❤🏡☕
Blessings To You Too Bsteadfast🙏,

I save using my crockpot, too.

I eat turkey meat. Rarely do I eat beef, but do like a steak every so often at Texas Roadhouse (like once or twice a year). Thank you for reminding me NOT to store things in their original packaging (cardboard).
So many helpful tips!
"Waste money" is pretty subjective 😅
Good evening Tessie
Yes definitely cook in crick pot will be baking my own bread chicken thighs to shred for sandwiches hanging clothes on clothes line stretching meat batch cooking
The drone footage was lovely
I was wondering about your store idea. Thanks for the update.
Good morning, Tessie. This video was just chock full of excellent tips. Over the past few years, I've been able to find a way to make just about everything we use and make homemade versions of just about everything; it's saving us a lot of money. It didn't occur to me to put the washing soda in glass to prevent it from getting hard; I need to do that today! Thanks! People have asked me to sell the soap I make, but shipping and other costs you mentioned are why I've not done so. I just make it for family and friends because I love to. I recently went to a craft/art show at a local historical site, and someplace like that would be perfect if you ever did decide to sell anything you make. I discussed that with my husband as a future possibility once I finish my herbalism courses. Blessings to you and your family!
Thank you ! Plz keep sharing these frugal tips ! Love you, sister ❤
Thank you for the tips need to learn all I can to save😊
I love crafting. I do to bless my home and gift to others. Crafting iss relaxing.
Buy baking soda in the huge plastic bags from Sam's Club. It stays soft.
You can also plug the crock pot in outside keep it from heating up the house.
it's nice to make stuff I want to learn how to do candles
No Green Potatoes Sam I'am" (lol) That's all I could think of. Green Eggs And Ham.
Thanks for the tip!! Love the view very beautiful!

I Really Am Sorry That You Have Hurt Yourself. Please Make Sure That Your Foot Has Recovered Enough If You Are Driving To See Your Mom Tomorrow-- Please Be Careful!
I Haven't Had Adventures Like You, But I Did Manage To Get More Decluttering Done Which I Am Pleased About-- It's Never Ending!
Stay Safe And GOD Bless,

At the begining of 2022, we put an emphasis on using completely up all of the open containers from food stuffs to cleaning products, and everything inbetween about the house and garage as a decluttering effort. By June of '22 we were still doing much the same plus using up things we'ld been using sparingly as "special", going through cupboards with the concepts of use what you have and make do, and simply avoiding buying anything we didnt have to outside of purposefully filling our food larder - for frugality reasons although it did serve to declutter too. As I used my scented soaps, i did smell pretty good in the garden. We did the same through most of 2023 although by gosh we did fully run out if duct tape; all the odds n ends, semi-crushed, and i think stashed rolls had been used up. This has saved us a lot if money.
Beautiful drone footage!!😊❤
Thank you so much !!
Very late from church and a quick bite😊
Never eat green potato's or suburb leaves
I want to live a simply life and grow my food and spend less time in the store. Thanks Tessie always appreciate your money saving tips and advice sweet sister🥰

I use to make lots of crafts ,but I'm 68 yrs now so I don't do it anymore
I save hubby and I by raising my chics for freezer, we fish with the gizzards and liver, what ever is still in freezer I can it up for easy fast casseroles , enchiladas. I also make our own laundry soap for years now thanks to your vid , I dehydrate alot any time I can grab frozen veggies on sale for later soups and casseroles. I asked around to many off the paved rd cattle farmers for their piled up mineral tubs and increased my garden by doubling it, I scrape chicken run and put that in old feed sacks till the weekend when I put in compost pile along with all my cuttings and when I clean my coup every month so I don’t have to buy composted fertilizer, my hens give us eggs and chics to replace older hens so now no longer buying meat chics or layers but I do add 10 fresh chics to flock every year, my friend and I swap. I use to have a full jam packed clothes closet now I just wear the same 5 jeans and 12 shirts till they wear out then go grab another from closet I tear up the jeans into strips and make pot holders by weaving those strips. We use up and wear out our dish cloths then hubby uses the old wore out rags for work or garage. We have paid off his pickup and motorcycle and are working on paying off my car, home is paid off , we don’t go on vacations but do go to the lake and enjoy fishing, it stocks our freezer so win win. We have oil lamps and woodstove incase power goes out, I learned that lesson when we here in Texas had that snow ice storm and everything was knocked out for a week in Houston and all over so many died as we were not prepared for that and one of the nights was 2f where I live , no snow machines so everything was shut down with ice on roads. I am as ready as I can be thanks to you and many others that taught me canning, dehydrating, getting a bag in my car incase I have to get home on foot that has a fold up weatherproof tent , my dehydrated vacuum sealed bags and a case of water always sure it will be heavy but I live 38 miles from work and handicapped so I know it will take me a week to get home but I am prepared if that happens.
Age 56 I don't buy anything just use what I have but I like candle coffee
Thanks for sharing Tessie ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The drone footage is beautiful! I hope you will get video or photographs of the wooded area when the leaves turn color!
We will!
Age 56 we need to watch what 2e eat
Great video! I did learn something very good from watching one of you videos the other day. You were talking and while you were talking , you put some rice in a rice cooker. And (believe it or not!) I had never heard of a rice cooker, so I looked it up and bought an inexpensive one because I have all this rice (rice and beans, lol!) and hadn't ever tried cooking plain rice. The only type I have fixed is minute rice and Rice a Roni, lol! But the cooker worked fantastic, so thank you for that! I also am a craft lover. I dabble in all sorts of things. The one I can say that is the absolutely cheapest is slow stitching. All you need is a needle and thread, and for materials anything from old clothes, laces, string, buttons and bows, lol! Absolutely anything. Thanks again for your video today!
cool drone footage! I love seeing gorgeous PA
Is that Thyme behind you, Tessie at 3:42? It is so beautiful.
yes!
Great tips-thanks for sharing w/us😄
Getting ready to go to bed but had to catch some Tessie time. My thing is to stay away from the fabric stores because I love to quilt. I do the same thing with my jars. Always out the labels on. I try to shop my frig and pantry first. You would have a heart attack if you saw the prices here in Alaska. Sending hugs.
I got a brand new slow cooker crock pot just the other day from one of my lovely subscribers. Because the 2 crock pots that 1 somehow got broken during the move and the other one died right after I moved new apartment in May 1st. 😊
Maybe give yourself 1 day every quarter(3mos) as a craft holiday, that you give yourself permission to do one of your crafts! Limiting your spending, but something to look forward to! Just a thought! 😊❤
I think that you're great. X
Crafting supplies are my weakness too. I really do have enough though so I am not buying anything more and I am starting to actually make things with what I have lol. I vowed I will not buy more craft supplies until I use up what I have and I will probably not live long enough.
I have read that some states require a license to sell seeds. You might want to research that and any restrictions certain states have for certain seeds.
I hope it works out for you.
