The final task on the stage is my favourite ever on-stage task. The music is absolutely perfect and Hugh Dennis saying "Sweden's" twice completely fucking wrote me off
I'm on Hugh's side of the narration argument (not that it mattered in the end). Why write it if you're not gonna enforce it?! Also I've got Midnight stuck in my head now, presumably forever.
Well there's a considerable difference between simply staying silent and not providing any commentary, and not being able to speak because your mouth is constantly full of water, sucking it out of a fish bowl, or transporting it. If anything, I'd say docking points for something done after the task has finished was a bit of a dick move.
Usually I'd be with you. I'm a bit of a stickler for sticking by the rules. It creates too much of an unfair advantage sometimes when they decide to ignore someone clearly breaking the rules. But in this case I don't really mind them ignoring it. It didn't really have anything to do with their ability to execute the task. It was just thrown in as something to make them look silly as they were doing it.
Joe's "did I hit a camera?" is maximum precious, and Noel would be the winner of the Most Chaotic Hero Award, were it not for lovely little Alex physically impersonating everyone so brilliantly during the excellent trailer Task, and of course for propositioning the Taskmaster so boldly. Don't worry, Alex. He'll come around.... 🥰🥰
I've seen this episode several times, but this is the first time that I've appreciated how well-observed are Alex's poses for Joe, Hugh and Noel in the final shot of the trailer. I'm not sure that Hugh actually does a bowlegged hop, but it captures him.
If it's any consolation, the auto-generated captions call Hugh "huge Dennis." p.s. Please give us real captions, gang! I recently discovered this show & love it but I'm somewhat Hard Of Hearing.
Hugh seemed so sad that everybody was shitting on his cloud subscription, poor guy honestly seemed a bit hurt throughout the episode bc this is something he genuinely cares about and he decided to share it, probably wanting some validation for it to ease the voice in his head saying "why am I paying £17 a year to look at clouds" and hoping the others would think it was as cool as he did but they didn't
I didn't see anything from him that implied this, but if he was feeling a bit invalidated, hopefully he's seen these comments talking about people signing up to the CAS and feels a bit better.

Me too!!!!! Glad I’m not alone 😅
9m mobile it wasn't easy haha
Lord greg is the taskmaster he decides the rules.
To be fair every task is there to make them look silly 😂
Joseph Pilato I think you have not fully understood the show. If you want rules, stick to Countdown.
“hugh is HOLLOWING out a BAGUETTE” said with such desperation, im screaming
The fact that Tugtenmaster is such a brilliant concept and well executed trailer just shows that Mel and Hugh really are a fantastic double act 🤣
I have seen people admire so many contestants, but for me, Mel's unbridled enthusiasm is the best. Makes me laugh and smile everytime.
I’m thrilled to learn that “Desky” Dennis is a fellow member of the Cloud Appreciation Society!
If it's any consolation, the auto-generated captions call Hugh "huge Dennis."

Lolly got SO ripped off. CLEARLY a box of cheese is better than a piece of cheese and two slices of bread that still have to be toasted.
this. and it just looked like plain white bread, disturbing to think whether or how it stays fresh...
