The Skoda Superb (in Australia at least) is available in a 162TSI (petrol), 140TDI (diesel) and 206TSI 4x4 (petrol) (plus 206TSI 4x4 Sportline) (so you have tested the entry level 162TSI with Tech Pack (incl. Image Pack) & Comfort Pack). It is not the middle of the range of the petrol version, as you say... Also, you might be confused regarding SRS Airbags in vehicles. Most, if not all current models have side airbags (either positioned in the outer seat bolsters or door to protect your torso). You mentioned that you haven't tested many vehicles that have this...seriously! What I think you might be referring to is that the Skoda Superb (like other modern vehicles) also has rear side airbags (positioned in the rear outer seat bolsters). Not too many vehicles have these additional airbags. Which then total the nine (9) airbags that are on offer in this particular vehicle. I must say the Skoda Superb 162TSI looks really good in the Brilliant Silver Metallic and the Wagon / Estate / Kombi / Avant / Station Wagon looks great!!!
