Hi Rick, does this allow the VM to use the hardware video decoding capabilities of the iGPU? Do you know if there is any way to do it without having a dedicated GPU installed, and GPU passthrough for that dedicated GPU?

Yes. HD Station allows you to connect a monitor, keyboard and mouse to the NAS.

Yes if you're luck, otherwise get ready for a flood of useless and inconclusive emails with support and phrases like "currently not supported on your model", even if it was supported until a short time before.

Unfortunately, doesn't work. QVM has problem since 2017 on qnap nas. Tried with Linux and Windows. Simply, there is no way to assign QVM to the virtual machines, because there are NO icons of QVM to click on/enable it! So, no shortcut appears in Hybrid Station. I am very unhappy with QNAP. I bought a TVS-673(1.100Euro) and I have only problems and bugs. They also removed the HDMI support for new versions of Ubuntu to the "Ubuntu Linux Station" on all TS-x73 models. So if I want to use the "Linux Station" I have to use older versions of Linux. Also, even if used with older versions of Linux, it's not possible to update even a simple application, because it crashes the system. I'll make it short and end the discussion here.
All I can say is that in the future I will never buy a Qnap product again (it looks like a Chinese version).
Lots of advertising, lots of nice videos and lots of nice words, but in practice, either the features doesn't work or they give problems.
    Regards

Maybe this is a solution for you: you can use a PCIe GPU in your TVS-673 an assign it to your VM and use the GPUs HDMI outputs. A Quadro P400 works very well in my TVS-673. All you have to do ist cut the end of the PCIe Port, so the GPU will fit in and install the Nvidia QNAP drivers over APP Center. Then you can assign your GPU to Virtualization Station. And yes I know the difference between TVS-673 and TS-673 and this really works in a TVS-673!
