Easy Beauty | Reading and Conversation

On April 4, 2023, Dr. Roxane Gay, the Gloria Steinem Endowed Chair in Media, Culture and Feminist Studies at Rutgers University, hosted Dr. Chloe Cooper Jones, for a reading and conversation about her book Easy Beauty. Their conversation covered various topics, ranging from Cooper Jones’ experience of living with disability and how she has learned to manage it, the distinction between “easy beauty” and “difficult beauty,” both Gay and Cooper Jones’ distinct writing styles and voices, and more.
