Love your creativity and technique. Really an inspiration to get outside the box. Thanks for sharing! Enjoy the channel a lot.
Thanks Rob!
Spawn fly fish is one of my favorite shops. They do a great job
Same here!
If you fish a crappie lake, something larger will bite that. I think it resembles a crappie nicely. Looks great! Those jigheads are new to me. I'll have to think of some ideas for them.
I've never tasted raccoon but I've smelled a few recently. I trapped and killed 3 of them who were tearing shingles off my roof and also peeling off some vinyl siding. I wasn't about to grab any of their stinky fur or tails for jig material.
Yeah ill clean a bucktail or two, but skinning a racoon is a little past my commitment level lol
Now that was thinking outside the box. It came together nicely. Please tell us how well it moves in the water and if the fish liked it also. Be blessed. My friend.
Always fun to trying something new! Thanks as usual!!
best lead for probably any lures. I use gamakatsu iseama 1/0 to 4/0 (and i use the for salt water too). I use marabou with flashabou (synthetic) and a feather of on each side (grizzly rooster) you can add soft plastic on the hook or put a rabbit trailer (zonker). These raccoon fur look promising i need to try (for northen pike)
Sounds like a nice pattern!
Why do this and not wrap the zonker strip? It looks good, I am just curious about your decision. I have yet to try a dubbing loop.
You could absolutely do that! With the hide still on, it would add more bulk than i wanted on this bait. Thanks for the comment!
