Zoroark, the Pokémon that made him think I was hacking. It's a Swords Dance Zoroark, a really nice set for Zoroark, especially for a , Zoroark sweep. Toxicroak is used with Zoroark to match its moves and potentially bait Psychic-type attacks.

Catching Dittos aren't easy on Gen III because Zoroark doesn't exist there.

You really need to actually battle a Zoroark to know that impostor and transform doesn't work against illusion pokemon.
In his defense, it's a really weird interaction that almost never comes up because of how niche zoroark is unless you play NU or something. You basically have to have it happen to you find out and you have to break the disguise to understand why it's not working. That would be especially hard for this guy considering Croak and Zoroark have the same moveset here.

Just when you think you know everything about thise game you always find some kind of interaction or something you hadn't seen before. I had no idea that transform/imposter didn't work on illusion. That's a really interesting interaction that I never would have considered.
I wonder if it still works but you could surf on a person using dig and use swift on a Pokemon using fly. I loved the idea that some broken attacks finally had counters

No it's not, only physical damage reveals it, sandstorm etc do not reveal it
@@PapaDr3ad94 They mean that it takes neutral damage from stealth rock and spikes. For example if its disguised as a fighting type but take 12% from stealth rock that gives away that its a Zoroark.

You can’t do that while playing the game

you can't see movesets until the pokemon actually uses moves, sure, but you can still see the pokemon
It also could be the guy is fairly new to competitive pokemon. A lot of new players don't recognize gimmicks like that (I know I didn't) .
