AFD (Acoustic Flat Diaphragm) speakers tend to produce far better audio quality than ordinary paper cone/voice coil types. AFD = very little to no "rattle" at high volume/bass levels with less distortion.
Nice National/Panasonic unit - tape deck will only record in the forward direction (auto reverse is playback only for this model).
Another working item and a happy customer (hopefully).

I haven't had a Sony, but the radios are similar. Only on the Sony there is an interesting control - a slide-out 🙂

Hi hi, my name is Ashiq Rasool. I am from Kashmir India and I have the same model and I have some issues with this deep recorder. First of all. My radio is not working that tuning button. The tuning wheel is not running properly moving properly and my both AFD speakers are not working and the window, for cassettes opens automatically like I don’t need to play any button. I just click it and it opens automatically. The ejection is not working. These are the three errors. The radio tuning wheel is not working. Both the speakers are not working and the ejection ejection is not working.
